You won't believe the beauty of Michoacán, Mexico

Today we explore Mexico's great state of Michoacan, seeing the National Park of Uruapan and the capital city Morelia. Both of them turned out to be beautiful stops, in very different ways.
Parque Nacional Uruapan is one of the most naturally beautiful places I've visited in Mexico. It's full of waterfalls and lush forest.
Morelia is a classic colonial city that completely surprised us with its beautiful and clean downtown. We're surprised, not to find such a nice city in Mexico (because Mexico has many great cities) but because I had not heard of many people visiting Morelia before.
I really think Uruapan and Morelia are both very underrated destinations, and should be considered if you are planning a trip through Mexico. Travel safely, as I am aware that there are parts of Michoacan where violence is an issue. But we had no issues whatsoever on this trip through a truly beautiful part of Mexico.

Sin lugar a dudas Michoacan es de los más bonitos en México, pero por favor exiganle a su gobernador y al alcalde de Uruapan que mejore la ciudad porque desde hace 13 años que fui y hasta hace un año que volví no le han hecho ningún arreglo. Con respeto les digo está muy descuida su ciudad.

****Mi Casa es Su Casa***** Michoacan is Beautiful, I'm lucky to be from Uruapan. Altough, I live in Houston. I'm glad you finally made it to my hometown.... I'm the big guy you met in the Central Norte bus station in CDMX, we were both heading to Paztcuaro for Day of the Dead. You left in the bus before me towards Queretaro. I am from Michoacan, i live 4 hours away from Uruapan approximately, and Yes, Uruapan is the world's capital of avocados, if you make your way to Morelia, Michoacan's capital, u should consider its candies tha u can find downtown, you can also visit Morelia's aqueduct, that place is famous because the bill of 50 here in mexico has that aqueduct estructure printed on the reverse of the bill....

I was born and grew up in Michoacán. I have so many good memories of uruapan. I been to Cancun Monterey Mexico City and different places in the USA and nothing compares to the beauty and culture that uruapan has to offer.

@@hastalaultima a lo que quise referirme es que cuando recibimos nuestros dolaritos,los que emigramos y dejamos atras la familia,creo que ni pensamos en nosotros,pensamos en lo que gracias a este pais podemos trabajar y asi apoyar a los nuestros . Yo no puedo imaginarme a algun paisano despues de arduas jornadas recibiendo su cheque sin pensar en su familia y en algun dia poder regresar. I live in uruapan and I think u missed something that you would've love to see and share with your audience, and it's the Paracutin Volcano, Which is the world's youngest volcano and you can go all the way to the top in horse ... It's only 30 minutes away from uruapan, besides that volcano when erupted it cover a entire city and only one tower of a church survive. IT IS AMAZING 😍 and you can ride a horse all the way Please search for more info about that volcano, patzcuaro city and I would totally love to take you to those places, trust me my friend you'll fall in love P. I loved it when as a teenager, my friends and I used to go diving in all those natural places and nothing beats that. The best childhood ever and I survived it. I also danced the Viejitos dance when in primary school in 4th grade. I believe Mexican kids were the luckiest then, unlike kids in the United States and today's Mexican who never get or got to have so much fun, good and healthy fun without the worries of so much gun violence in our society. We get the society we teach our kids in the future. If we emulate the traditions that emanate from the United States, we will get a mutated and morphed society and not a Mexican society where our elders are still our moral compass and keep us grounded.

Been to both! My Mexican friend also has a friend who arranges tours so we went on that! We went to Pátzcuaro, Janitzio, Tzintzuntzan, Cámecuaro, Zamora, Uruapan and finished in Morelia.

Going to el parque nacional and not getting a raspado to me feels like an incomplete trip. Michoacán is a land of enchantment. very unique place. Paracho, Paricutín, Morelia, Uruapan, Patzcuaro, Quiroga, Zamora, Camecuaro and on and on. it's a great place.

The then city of Valladolid changed its name to Morelia in 1828 in honor of (Jose Maria) Morelos who was born there.

I lived there about 2-3 hours away from uruapan and I came to USA 2 years ago and I love my country, but now just when I'm so far away from my birth place I realize that my country mexico it's very unic and I'm very happy knowing that more people like you enjoy visit mexico too, I definitely recommend to you to go if you can to go to camecuaro michoacan! I would love to seriously visit Mexico one day. And given my grandfather came from Michoacán, it has a special place in my heart. Strangely enough, despite the fact that you're a general travel vlog, you vlog has become among the best Mexican travel vlogs I've seen on KZfaq. I truly feel as though I could plan the right trip to Mexico just by watching your videos on it.

Just for your knowledge acueductos were built before the Aztecs in Teotihuacan, Netzahualcoyotl was a great ingeniero , he built acueductos to deliver fresh water to the Grand Tenochtitlán, also he built sewage systems, I’d like to recommend you to read something about him, you can find some videos about the King Of Texcoco, Netzahualcoyotl here in KZfaq.

Amigo, efectivamente las culturas precolombinas transportaban el agua por acueductos, pero especìficamente los de arcos, como el de Morelia, empiezan a construirse hasta la etapa colonial. Recuerda que el arco es un elemento arquitectònico europeo. Saludos!
