Hi, Just a suggestion, Use 2 3s batteries for better weight distribution, And lower the prop strut about 3 mm. And go from there, Up/Down/? by 1mm at a time. the boat is chinewalking as soon as it hits a certain speed, Then you lose control, and this boat should not go airborne! And maybe lower the trim tabs about 1mm, that may help also, By all means, Do not do everything I said all at once, Make One small adjustment, Run the boat, See what it does, watch it's quirks, If Ok fine, If not Make another adjustment, And so forth, Till Ya' Get that YEE- HAW Moment! Ya that unit is pretty powerful, I have the Traxxas M41 and it’s a Beast, I do wish it did have the self-righting as it’s a awesome feature ! I do think your main problem with your flipping was the one 6s you were using and the placement of it as it should’ve been as far forward as it could’ve gone and because you only had one battery in , it made it not as level or stable in the water especially after flipping a few times, using two 3s batteries work way better in all areas as you get a little longer playtime out of it also ! You can also mess with your trim tabs at the back if you have to as it does help it stay on plain better when you find the sweet spot and helps stop it from flipping because the front stays more down and not much air can get under it , but I really do like the self-right feature and it looks like a awesome boat overall !! I've had this boat for years and never ran it lol. Took it out last weekend for it's maiden voyage. It rips, but also gets hot quite easily. Going to try and figure out how to get more cooling, but that self righting feature is a lifesaver! Definitely attracted a audience!

Wanted to give you a little hint. You know how the front of the boat was bouncing up an down. You need to move the battery more to the front of the boat. See how it does. You can move it back if it is pushing the back of the boat down. That is why it was getting air under the front of the boat. Easy way to remember is take tape and put around the battery where the strap goes around the battery to hold it down. I am still waiting for the phone gimbal to get here . We are having trouble with USPS . The protesters holds up the shipping.

Higher "C" rating wi improve power and the battery will not get so hot. Also as I've mentioned before,wipe some Vaseline on the rubber gasket that the top seals to and you'll get way less water inside. Also keep the driveshaft well greased most water comes in from there. I bought this boat. My first one ever. Cold day in Canada but the lake was calm and it does create a crowd and makes them smile because it sounds like a jet and is fun..😏. Cant wait til summer on our twin lakes here. Penticton British Columbia Canada. 😊

Just bought this wicked boat! Went all out and bought 2 spektrum 5000mah/3s/100c and 2x3s/50c with smart charger. Bought all the spare parts as well, I’m ready to go! 👍😜. Excited, c’mon spring!

With 2 artery’s it stays down better but make sure the battery’s have Velcro and straps tight we have had to go rescue due to battery’s shifting all the way forward when it flips and won’t self right 🙏

I drilled out all the water fittings to combat the heat . That thing shoots twice as much water through the water out let. Runs nice and cool

There should be some leveling tabs on the back of the hull you can trim down a bit to help keep the nose down. If it doesn't come with them, you can add them for cheap.

I have this boat, great boat, fast, self righting is great! A few tips, trim tabs (aftermarket) help with higher speeds, batteries, despite the esc and motor cooling the battery and wire areas get warm. I have a small rechargeable fan I blow over the esc, wires and battery connectors after a ru., also remove batteries fairly quick to let cool them down.

Love my Sonicwake. 100% stock with 2 50c 3s smart batteries I ran 49.78mph. I will be trying out 2 100c 3s smart batteries this weekend. And they do recommend 50c Minimum, so your 30c wasn't giving it full potential.

Take the trim tabs off and bend down 2mill it will stop it jumping out of the water

Stack had some good info that sounds like it would solve a couple of the problems ya had. Size not withstanding overall 👁 think this one took on more water than the recommended one. Though it did have 1 top cover lock,and the 2nd cover had 5 lock screws. To bad the receiver didn't have a power gage like the spectrum, then you'd know when to come back in. If it had been farther out U MIGHT not have made it back❓❓❓.Fun,Fast over to soon review. ⚓⚓👍🚤🚤👍💜👍⚓⚓.

I never knew they had such a thing called self-righting on a boat I really want one of these. Just two days ago I just purchased the Traxxas Spartan and man that thing is fast the only thing that sucks about it just does not flip itself over. Just yesterday we took it out for the first time at a lake and what do you know it flipped over in the middle of the lake and we had nothing to get out to it besides jump in and go for a swim so you know what I did after that I want on Amazon and purchased myself a nice size raft. I wish I seen this video before purchasing the Traxxas Spartan because I would have definitely purchased this boat instead. I'm going to save this video so when I do go to purchase this boat I'm going to use your link just because you are the one that made me aware of such a design thank you for your time and video 👍. Just hopefully when I do go to purchase they're not on backorder lol.

I had this boat and when it catches air and flips sometimes the battery moves out of position and keeps the boat from rotating back over if its upside down

If you get a chance check out the powerup 3.0 or 4.0 system. It is super fun and very interesting. I plugged mine on my nighthawk glider and testing it tomorrow

This could really use a smart ESC along with a telemetry capable setup like the Habu STS that let's you know when the battery is starting to get low so you can bring it in before the battery gets low.. That way you don't tear your batteries up so bad by consistently running them to their lower voltage limit.

Just got one of these a month or so ago....just some upgrade hints that will jelp a lot. Duel pick up rudder ( from OSE Offshore Electrics ) adjustable trim tabs. And even a detounged prop will help speed. Also I seen you ran a 30c battery. May want to up that to 75c ish so it wont get hot. Otherwise......these are an absolute blast to run!!!!!!! Have lots of fun guys.....I know I do with mine!!!!
