Only because of the three minute penalty. They say its supposed to be a penalty not a break so all they're allowed to do is sit in the boat. Kinda stupid imo.

You should be allowed to fish a bass tournament from the bank. Requiring a boat stinks of elitism. "The poor should not be allowed to compete!"

@Bobby Locke I don't see any other logical conclusion to his statement. Why shouldn't you be allowed to get out of the boat then, if he didn't mean "fishing the tournament from a boat should be a requirement"? There's literally no other reason why that wouldn't be allowed.

I just grew up poor in the middle of the swamp in central Florida, so I've battled with elitist snobs with their $40,000 bass boats who act like they own the world my entire life. It's the most satisfying feeling in the world when you take their money with a 14 ft. john boat!

Poche would be great boat partner for recreational fishing, but his sense of self-entitlement regarding the rules in fishing pro tournaments leaves much to be desired. (and I mean his pattern of rules interpretation, not just this particular incident. Just look at his recent beaver dam jump.)
