If you are like me, I hate the unpleasant and time-consuming task of cleaning off
a paint roller. But it is an important step to ensure that your rollers are in good
condition for your next painting project. It's a good idea to clean your paint rollers
immediately after use, as dried paint can be much more difficult to remove.

To add the finishing touch to make sure the roller is absolutely dry, I blow the roller with a blow nozzle with my air compressor. I run it along the edge to make the compressed air spin the roller as fast as possible, ensuring every bit of water is spun out. It makes it very dry and fluffs the nap so the roller looks brand new.

It only works if you have water pressure 🤣 I haven’t seen the can “shield” before but I like it. I use this method with my arm stretched out as far as I can. I don’t usually end up covered in paint. 😁

You can use one of those garden hose one, with the adjustable tip. This is way big, if you check out the YAK roll cleaner you can make a diy model and voila. Made one a year ago, less than a minute to clean a roll.

Paint into the water treatment facility is a bad idea. Take it out side .

I am going to assume this is only used to clean up water-based paint. The bulk of the paint can be scraped back into the paint pan with a 5 in 1 painters tool. Running the water to clean the roller is diluting the little amount of paint left in the roller. As far as the environment goes, he is reusing the roller over and over and not just throwing it in the trash. This is one of the best tips I have ever seen.
