I love Ivans approach to making. Rather than try and make a finished working product, he makes something knowing that it will likely fail at first. I think this is a crucial thing for makers to understand. When you make something you should expect it to fail. You even want it to fail. It is only through failure that we learn.

I've enjoyed watching you and all of your videos, they are truly an inspiration of the fact that anyone can do anything if you put your mind to it. It did better than I actually expected it to Ivan, very nice build! Maybe mount a cheap video camera on top of the gun barrel feeding a small monitor just in front of the joystick, that way you can see exactly where the balls will go when you pull the fun switch.
@jarekmace1536
@jarekmace1536 2 жыл бұрын
The left hand needs a rest that has a monitor for a coaxial gun camera, readouts for battery voltage, ammo count, etc., and the light switches. Too much stuff under the gun control hand can get confusing and dangerous. The barrel re-center switch should be either under the right thumb, or on a tophat switch on the right grip. A mechanical brake that engages the inner teeth of the sprocket would work for a parking brake.

I think either you’re gonna have to use a stronger filament or you’re just gonna have to get tracks that you can sit on your tank. But other than that, everything seems to be working fine that’s really the main thing that kept breaking while you were testing. Very good work I haven’t seen anyone work with filament quite the way you have.
@aaronsprojects
@aaronsprojects 2 жыл бұрын
Very cool. When you reprint the tracks maybe you could print a TPU Tread and bond that to the tracks to give a bit more grip and perhaps help protect the links from as much damage. For the suspension are you making the front suspension stiffer than the rear as the mass seems focused in the rear and the nose seems to dip when you drive forwards... even before the suspensions broke. For your cannon could you add a car reversing camera to the tip and put a little screen by the joystick to make aiming easier? The reversing lines would be kind of like a rangefinder.

Just outstanding! Are you prepared to sell the designs to the Ukraine military? They can make it a national project with citizens across the country printing parts on their Enders. They can use all the help possible and need a battle tank that's inexpensive to build, easily maintained, a canon indescribably destructive, an open cockpit easily to extract yourself before being in incinerated,and with minimal environmental damage to fit the EU green initiative! You got it man!

you made a fantastic tank, it's beautiful. i don't know if it's useful but i have a suggestion, if you lower the acceleration, especially from stationary, you may reduce the force on the tracks and the plastic would survive longer.

Sir I'm sure you hear this all the time but perhaps this is the straw to break the camels back but have you considered adding something vital? cause as a theorist of physics i would imply that plastic is not a good surface to urrrm climb leaves for fully optimal surface placement and the ability to obtain grip would allow said tank to navigate in an optimal posture when compared other tracked vehicles but the addition of little rubber strips but thick enough to gain traction you can glue them on with some industrial cold weld adhesive

Great work so keep it up, I love this channel. But when you come down to off road, I suspect metal is the only thing able to handle the material stress that causes.

I was gonna say maybe you should add ridges or spikes on the track for better traction for gravel and dirt but then again since its 3D printed they would most likely break and you would end up with smooth tracks again. But regardless this is amazing to see it used in the forest and how it come a long all these years.

I imagine that the tank would be better if some parts were used to make molds. then you could, for example, have the treads be made of something much more suited to the task. I don't actually know what I'm talking about though so I have know idea what parts would be good to replace with what materials, assuming this is a good idea.

You could put a 3d printer in the back, so you can print parts that break in the field, also a way to convert the broken piece back into filament. Don't know the details, there's a lot to work through but a self reliant tank would be unreal. At the very least a small store of filament and printer.
