Crazy fight Mate! I reckon you had to travel at least a Kilometer to nab that psycho fish! Great job ! The obvious key to landing BIG Fish is patience! A LOT of people freak out, get nervous, and get so out of sorts they bugger it up! Remaining CALM is crucial and taking one's time is the only way to successfully land one of these Monsters! I think people worry about losing the big fish so much they mess it all up, get in a rush, horse the Fish, and SNAP goes the leader! Again- great job on that Giant! Folks that don't have much experience don't understand that you can land BIG fish on really light line provided a few things are present in the scenario - 1- No underwater snags, reefs, logs 2- having freedom to move about 3- having enough line to avoid being spooled (again being able to move freely). 4- the fish either lacking sharp find it scutes. 5- an abrasion resistant leader 6- no super fast hard rippin current. If those particulars go your way and you can chase the fish thus avoiding a proper spooling, you will have every chance of successfully landing your fish!! Awesome 🎥🎥🐟🐟🍻

Heres a tip kiddies, most of the boneless chunks of fish you get from the local fish and chips shop are shovel nose sharks/rays. Enjoyed with half mayo half tomato sauce dressing😉😉👌

Great teamwork! I see that the rod is a Black Hole that is not available, but what are the spec on it. Is it a 8, 9ft rod & what braid (80 or 100lb) are you using on the Expedition 8000? What bait did you use on the shovel nose?
@DennisVerreet3 жыл бұрын
It’s a 8‘6 Black Hole Cape Cod II Special Prototype with titanium guides. A lot stiffer rod than the normal Cape Cod to have more control over the fish when fishing landbased. Way to stuff to use in a boat. The line on my Expedition 8000H is WFT kg Strong in 51 kg (112 lb). I used a live Watsons Bonito for bait that was meant for a GT.
