Join me in exploring Baseco Compound in Manila Philippines. I made a walk in this community and discover things I wish I hadn't seen, but this is reality. I didn't expect to see how unbelievable the situation of the people living in this area. Baseco Compound or simply Baseco, is a small town in Manila’s port area. Residents of Baseco are mostly informal settlers with low-income, insecure jobs and limited access to basic services such as education, healthcare, sanitation and proper shelter. Dapat khit nandyan sila matutong panatilihin ang ka linisan sa buong paligid. Malilinis nmn ang Pilipino Ewan ko ba pgdating sa labas ng bahay bkit d maintain Sana, mgka Isa. Para sa inyo din Yan Para d kayo pandirihan Dyan eskwater na nga tas Dugyot PA Lalo lng kayo look down ng mga Tao. Lalo mga foreign country nkkapanood. Pero Para sakin napakaswerte PA din natin sa bansa natin. Kung hhambing sa ibang mhihirap din bansa na d na kumakain at walang mga trabaho o matirahan sa sarili nilang bansa. Kung seryoso ang gobyenro na ma solve ang problema ng maruming ilog at Manila Bay. Need niya ma relocate at mabigyan ng pabahay ang mga illegal settlers lalo na sa mga tabi ng ilog at diyan sa Baseco Compound. Dapat ma solve ang poverty problem sa atin, ayusin ang pag kulekta ng basura, ayusin ang drainage system sa pag kuha ng mga human waste, factory factory at sa mga buildings para hindi na didiretso mga ito sa river at dagat. Dapat kasi sa atin alam naman na natin na nakatira na nga tayo sa squater dapat sana linisin naman natin ang atin kapaligiran. DISIPLINA naman sana.

Ang barangay captaion sana o mayor ang nangunguna na magpatupad ng ordinansa sa buong squatter area na linisin ang paligid nila,barangay captain dapat din mag higpit para sa kalinisan..ang dami tambay na kabataan jan dapat napapakinabangan yan sa paglililnis ng palihid nila..para kahit squatter area yan,malinis naman sana tingnan.

This is the kind of situation why God wanted the Israelites to seperate themselves from the Cannanites...He expect the Israelites to be physically morally n spiritually clean from the livestyle of those underserving people. We dont need to be poor or rich...but if these are not selfish...dont have the presumptous attitude...love for environment n people...they can make the place clean n liveable....this people are example of a modern day Canaanites. I live in Isabela n dont have the luxury of a city life like in manila but still living happily there with very good neighbors n friends....

@@jiggerstv you can hardly find slum area in Malaysia because the Government and Ngo will come to assist the poor people. In Malaysia if you have land but don't have money to build a house the Government will help to build the house and you can pay back the Government by instalment. In Malaysia there are many low cost houses project settlement with School, Clinic and Shop for poor people.
