With how advanced games are now tho, I just wonder if you can get past the implications of NPC’s that resemble civilians dying from Hulk’s rampage or say, destroying a building. The limitations of games back then kinda seemed to make that easier, but maybe I’m just wrong lol

The ps2 era of games will always be undefeated. They just don’t make games like they used to. Obviously games look much better these days but imagine a hulk game like this with todays graphics and technology!

@rebel2191 there is but not enough are being released as they were in the ps2 days and so many get canceled or not even started due to today's contracts and than for today's games , it can lack so much content until dlcs pop up and still lack so much content compared to what we were use to during the ps2 era, the ps2 era we had tons of content especially in consideration to what we were use to, the ps2 hulk came with alot of content, the ps3 hulk main feature was breaking down the city which was a great addition but ps2 hulk had more fun things to do as it seems, during ps2 era many games had hidden features to continue stories that you didnt even think were there unless someone read a game informer, the menus were even more polished but that's also because game devs don't take a real advantage of games being online connected where they would send out unfinished patches and keep working on them as time goes, you couldn't do that during ps2 era so games had to be fully polished where it should still be like that and worked on even more with updates

For sure. I remember spending countless hours in the training zone just to use all of Hulks different abilities. How many other games let you hammer toss a freaking tank, or use a wrecking ball as a melee weapon, or catch a missile and throw it back. This game straight up spoiled us lol

@@pacman4202 with “the punisher/warzone” easily one of if not the most accurate marvel game to a character ever. I remember figuring out how to set people down instead of flicking them long distance. *chef’s kiss Coulda used more villians but it was great either way.

When you carry that air combo into the slam it's supposed to go into it's soooo sick and the AoE is impressive considering you're using an opponent but regardless the moves were really fun, decent story too honestly

There was an Abomination skin. I remember unlocking it, but Devil Hulk is like 20 times taller than the regular Hulk, so it would've been impossible to free roam I guess it's also the reason there wasn't a skin for the Abomination's second form

The Gameplay couldn't keep up with Hulk Ultimate Destruction. I can't think of a bigger complaint about gaming than that sequels to Hulk Ultimate Destruction were never made. Hulk fans don't want Prototype. We want Hulk.

The only thing better about the 2008 version is you can break the city down with hulks power, not sure if you get better enemies or not but due to the game being newer , im sure some of the button tapping will feel better but from what i remember, ultimate destruction is also way more agile

Ultimate destruction had waaay more finer details that made the game come to life. Things like bigger impact points and having hulks run animation actually bob him up and down and kick up dust as if he had real weight unlike the other one where you are running but the sprite is otherwise almost perfectly still. It does get some points for letting you demolish buildings but that's as much as it gets

I realized, Ultimate Destruction looks soooo much better that The Incredible Hulk because of the lighting, location, and general energy of it, all of which seems like a DC game to me. The Incredible Hulk fits well with the MCU's general aesthetic because it looks sp boring and flat like most MCU movies. Ultimate Destruction has such a mood and artistic value to it.

Biggest problem with incredible hulk 2008 is that it feels so sluggish,janky and just flat out unfinished and undercooked game you can tell the people who developed that game wanted it to be good as ultimate destruction but didn't have enough time cause the company wanted to rush the game out the door

I’ve never played ultimate destruction took but holy crap the gameplay is amazing it’s on par with something like jedi academy and just being very fluid, cinematic and smooth looking when he was in the air with that ball or whatever and grabbing stuff and jumping in the air and being able to target an enemy and throw it that’s pretty good. Most games now just have the ol’ pick up with x and throw in whatever direction your actually facing

Man ele é o melhor jogo do Hulk fácil fácil, como o amigo falou aí em cima, ele tem muito mais agilidade e você joga com gosto e com vontade de controlar o Hulk, agora esse inspirado no filme do Edward Norton você não pode fazer nada enquanto ele tá travado no Pulo, esse salto dele trava o personagem na animação de pular e você não pode fazer nada quanto a isso, não só isso! como ele tem muitos outros defeitos que fazem o jogo ser extremamente difícil e facilmente uma merda! Ultimate Destruction é superior em todos os sentidos.

I have a soft spot for The Incredible Hulk since I remember being young and gaving a blast with the destruction and combat.. Just for fun when I found out civilians were invincible, I'd pick out a random from the crowd and act like I'm having this intense battle that moved from block to block and took down buildings by throwing or punching the poor random guy into them.. As you guessed ut was really just a fun ragdoll session. I also loved taking an enemy or NPC to the top of a building and then grabbing and jumping off to slam them into the ground as high and as hard as I could.. Shit was fun, wish I got to try ultimate destruction though

Damn, I forget how good Ultimate Destruction is. I need to revisit it sometime. Everything about the movie tie-in game came off so cheap. Despite being next-gen, UD still looks better than the flat, gray mess its little brother turned out to be. The sound was absolutely terrible too, my god. Wish we still had Radical Entertainment around. Some talented individuals there, cut short out of greed and profit as usual.

Man I remember playing unlimited destruction as a kid, the whole family was taking turns, there was a part we were all stuck on, I noticed you didn’t have to fight the enemies you just had to make it through a door, so I skipped past the enemies and made it through the door, my bitch step mom got mad at me for playing like that 🙄😂
