If anyone is wondering why the second child actor got emotional, its because he started thanking his family and mentioned his grandparents. He said that his grandfather had passed and he hoped that his grandpa was watching him receive the award in heaven.

He REALLY played & acted seamlessly well in Hi Bye Mama as the little girl Seo Woo. I am totally caught off-guard he’s actually a little boy with such amazing acting skills that can portray as a girl of around his same age. His gestures, actions and even little things I saw on the drama showed everyone how mature he is and how great he can handle a different gender role so well. 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻 Foresee him to be an outstanding actor in future!

The second young actor made me cry. He said his grandfather liked seeing him on tv, but he passed away this year in march. At the end he said this, "My father bought me a lot of delicious rice/food, so i will work hard and buy him a lot of food too. Also my grandma and grandpa who's watching this live broadcast. Ah my grandpa enjoyed watching me on tv, but this March he passed away. I'm really sad that he couldn't watch "Youth of May" (cuz he's in this drama). I just finished watching the drama with that little guy, his acting was so cute; to watch the cast looking at him while giving his speech made me feel like they cared about him like if he was their own child. I didn't need to understand a thing to feel the emotion the oldest kid felt in his speech, made me really emotional.

He thanks to all the staffs and family and the reason why he teared up is because he said that his grandfather is really like and happy when he saw his grandchild on tv, but sadly his grandfather passed away in peace on march so he wasn't able to see Yihyun's latest drama (youth of may) that's why he felt really sad for that
