This is the start of Namjoon being confused as to whether he is an artist or just an idol because for him they are an artist which is true. They do compose and produce their music. Gladly he realized, he doesn't need their validation. He doesn't care anymore if he is an idol or artist. You can read the Idol lyrics, You can call me artist, you can call me idol no matter what you call me, I don't care. Also, this is the beginning where Namjoon's determination elevated. To proves to all the people who look down on them that they are all wrong.

So the one that was calling BTS girls for wearing makeup and disrespecting their artistry was B-free. He was a rapper. BTS dissed him a lot in the cyphers (read the lyrics famillia). Also, fun fact when 'D-2' Agust D's mixtape dropped (some of the songs talked about rappers who disrespected them) B-free got into jail after assaulting a fellow rapper. There's tons of articles about it so feel free to research more if you don't believe me.

I admire RM so much. I can not image being young and have people from the world you love and even your friends who love the same thing look down on you. The moment when his dream hip-hop group turned out to be an idol group. He is so strong. He is my leader role model💜💜💜 //You will see in ep. 4

The reason why BTS got so much hate was that they broke the stereotype of the word "Idol" in Kpop and the underground "hip-hop". The lyrics in the song "IDOL"; "You can call me artist, You can call me idol. No matter what you call me, I don't care." was their resolution to themselves from these bugling questions about their identity. They don't care about any label such as "kpop" or "idol", they only want to be themselves. True enough, with their perseverance to show their passion for music, BTS has set a new genre unprecedented of any existing genre. *The genre is BTS.*

BTS to this day is still look down upon for their artistry and music, even when they got a Grammy nomination. Western media sometimes still think they are a joke that only teenagers like because of their looks. I'm still mad that people assume that only teenage girls like them, and the fact that they are looking down upon teenage girls for liking what they like. BTS's fanbase is so diverse now. We have so many different age groups, nationalities, gender identities. We have so many diverse ARMYs but they still are disrespected because of the boyband image and the because the songs are in another language.

This series shows what JK meant to FESTA (??? I'm not quite sure) that RM really struggled and worried a lot when they debut (in their earliest days/years) as he was the leader of their group. I think he worries a lot because of those people who look down on them. He wants to prove that they were all wrong. His determination to succeed really shows in this series. Cuz me too, that what I will feel especially if my peers humiliate me in front of other artists and tons of audiences. So, I really admire his determination and courage. I want to say to him that He did a great job and I am proud of him. He carried those responsibilities at a young age. Now, I understand why Jungkook always thanks him and admires him the most.

Namjoon and Yoongi took a lot of hate for leaving the hip hop scene. In Korea Kpop is usually regarded as something for teen girls. Koreans BTS' age at the time cared more about ballads, soloists, K-indie, K-R&B, and Korean Hip Hop just like most young adults at the time. Namjoon and Yoongi being underground rappers and hoping to have some sort of credibility in music took a big chance by being in BTS and going the Kpop route. BTS had to work or else no one would take them seriously or respect them in the hip hop world so they were under a ton of stress. What's important to remember is that they were still kids basically and those guys talking crap about them are hyungs and sunbaenims so that must have been tough to deal with. Fortunately it wasn't like that with all people in Korean hip hop. Epik High are huge inspirations for the boys and they have always said nice and decent things about BTS. They're big mentors for Yoongi and Namjoon and Epik High seems to like and respect them a lot whereas the main people talking badly about them are irrelevant. Going back to the Korean view of Kpop, BTS has exceeded that traditional Kpop image, probably like G-DRAGON. The whole country knows BTS similar to how the feel about Sonny (the footballer) and Parasite. BTS are the nation's pride in ways that other Kpop groups aren't. That's not to diss other Kpop groups because they're talented too but just know when people say that Koreans don't really care about Kpop, they don't usually mean BTS in that lol.

for the question if the day: for me, i often be so annoyed and offended and curse them like 🤬🤬🤬 but that was before. now, i ignore most of it because bts have so much now to even argue with anyone. i am just enjoying this all, being a BTSARMY💜 so i feel to ignore them and keep on watching bts success.

As a fan from the future, I feel respect up to the moon rather than pity/sorry. I mean, I feel sorry, but the admiration I feel for them is much stronger. They went through a lot, although they never made it seem that way. And I just feel so amazed even up until now. I've said this before but i'm gonna say this again, again and again, BTS is an artist, idol, life teacher and a role model to me. I'm so happy for them and how far they've come. the thing is, Korea sees greatness in BTS since their debut but still brush them off because they are not from the Big 3 companies. So BTS and BigHit really have to fight their way in and be known and acknowledged by people. They were first acknowledged when they were nominated and then won at the Billboards but even then they still didn't acknowledge that achievement that much. Not until they got invited by so many western music award shows and won. If you will watch some korean talk shows and variety shows, they would try to establish records that would prove that it was not BTS who did it first, like Billboard charts, who performed and was known by the western music industry or things alike. even though they try to discredit BTS and BigHit for their achievements, the music, the artists and the people behind it still continue to give quality music, lyrics and performance that continues to amaze and resonate with soooooo many people. they will not be able to stop the passion that BigHit and BTS have for music and ARMYs. periodt

The term "Idol" really makes a kpop artist look like as if they are some kind of flawless god or goddess. Bts members are not plastic dolls who are perfect 24/7 and they dont do everything that their fans demand from them. Of course their music draws the people towards them at first but people love them for their honest personalities. One of the main charms of bts is that they are sooo themselves and are not afraid to show their mistakes and vulnerable sides. And they clearly don't care about living like the "perfect idols". JK and Jimin have tattoos even though its considered taboo in South Korea. Heck, JK has a whole arm full of tattoos. I know some other kpop idols have many tattoos too. But in the case of bts, Given their superstar status and being the biggest boyband in the whole world, JK clearly got too much backlash for it but he didn't care about any fake fans anyway. Our boys deserve the whole world.

QOTD: It really boils my blood, for some of my friends that talk bad about them, I've tried to reason with them and when I saw they didn't really care about the reasoning and were just negative, I just ignored cause trying to reason with them would waste my time cause they don't even deserve that time. However on social media, I sometimes respond, but not harshly, cause that would not be what the boys want. Overall, it's really irritating to see others look down on them especially because they are amazing people who deserve every love they get.

Whenever I watch RM or listen to him, his words or actions linger in my head. This time, he demonstrated how to keep your cool in the midst of a verbal attack and succeed. They were much younger than those guys but they showed more maturity, intellect and class.
