For the Kreitzer's, hunting is a family tradition. It's time spent outdoors with loved ones passing down years of hunting knowledge to the next generation. Watch as Trail Kreitzer takes his sixteen-year-old son Landon on a 2nd Season Colorado rifle mule deer hunt, for a father-son duo; continuing the hunting tradition.

Out of all the go hunt films this one brings out the most emotions. Most of my life well into my early twenties I resented my dad for many reasons that I won’t get into, however it was a hunting trip in 2015 where I forgave my dad for everything. This was also my first time hunting. I didn’t even go for the hunt, i just went for my sake because i needed to forgive him for me. Ever since that day me and my dad talk almost everyday and have gone hunting 7 years in a row. Rewind back to March 9th, 2022 a day before this video was posted my first child was born @05:44. I can’t help but think of all the great adventures me him and his grandpa will hopefully one day god willing will go on. Hunting is so much more than just taking an animals life. Being with the people you love surrounded with the best possible crowd and scenery is unbeatable. I wish everyone could experience this at least once in life because there’s nothing else like it.

Grew up in a concrete jungle. No one in my family hunts. Picked up hunting in my 30’s. I’m still in my 30’s. Learned what I know in Hunter education classes and KZfaq. What I would give to have what this kid has! It’s simply beautiful!

Since my son is all grown up and doing his own thing, I get to hunt with my buddies and their kids. It’s really a lot of fun watching the young ones come up. And things you can add to their hunt.

I really love this!!!!! My kids are all grown and out of the house now. Both of my daughters live in various parts of the country. My son still lives near me. But I remember how special the hunting and fishing trips with them were. I remember their first deer hunts and their first bucks. Just wish they were still little and we could do it all again.

Trail, I watch you all at GoHunt religiously. This video "Young Buck" has to be my favorite. It reminds me of two sons when they were younger. Hunting with your kids is what hunting is all about. To pass on the heritage and build incredible memories. This was a very heart-felt hunt. Landon, you're so very fortunate to have a Dad like Trail. Always a fan . I can't wait to see more videos like this. Gohunt kicks ass!

As a father I can relate, my fondest memories are taking my kids hunting and fishing. When they were young, I told them it was like hunting with a D8 cat lol, but they soon got better, and harvested their own animals. My daughter now grown harvested a monster muley in Colorado this last year on her own! Very proud dad when she called to tell me the story!

I grew up hunting with my dad, but due to business and time constraints, we weren't able to do as much as I got older in high school. I kinda fell out of hunting in late high school and college, but thanks to him and KZfaq, I've been getting back into it. Now I've got a once in a lifetime Arizona elk hunt coming up this fall that he and I are gonna do together. He's getting a bit older, but I can't wait for those weeks to spend time with him that I haven't been able to have for a while. Thanks for the inspiration, GoHunt! And congrats on that deer!

While I dont have kids of my own, thus year was very special to me. I got to take my 25 year old niece deer hunting. She hadn't been in almost 8 years, due to school commitments and the draw process. Opening day we filled her tag, and I couldnt have been more proud. Then the last day of season I was able to take a friend and his 7 year old son out. That morning I filled my tag, and realized that was the first animal he's ever seen harvested. It took me back to the days when I got to go along, and the men who helped me become what I am today.

Those experiences cover 4 generations and more than 5 decades in my family. Of those 3 experiences the most fun I've had is hunting with my granddaughter and seeing her smiles and excitement.

Absolutely loved this video. Your son reminded me a lot of myself in those videos. I would go out fishing all day with my father and he absolutely loved it even though half the time I was just laying around on the boat sleeping, playing games, messing with phone, and wondering when it was time to go home. Now those are some of my most cherished memories. I guarantee moments like these will be your sons most cherished and the stories he will tell his grandkids.

My son is seven, he’s been reeling in his own fish since before he could talk. My father started me hunting at 11 when I could finally hold and shoot his 12ga in IN. I think in the west my son can come with me on some easier tags even earlier. This year I have enough points to get an Antelope doe tag, early season, lots of road glassing, and minimal pack out. Sounds like a great hunt to share.

My best friends and I didn’t grow up hunting and we only picked up hunting in our early 30s. It’s only been a few years but we are in the process of forming our own traditions and rituals.
