I was just like this. As much as I am ashamed of being like this in the past, this video really connects with me and reminds me my parents do everything in their ability, not worrying about their own life just so I can have the best life possible. Growing up I was always ashamed of my dad not having a "good" "well paid" job as he worked as a bookkeeper for small organizations. I remember telling my friends he owned a company and an expensive car just to "prove" to them I was rich. Now that I think of it, it's so silly to show off and lie about these things to prove to people who u shouldn't care too much about. I now realize friends who care about status aren't real friends. I still remember the day when my dad came home drenched in the rain, all his papers were completely wet. He looked at me and seeing that I didn't have dinner yet (as mum was sick that day) he went out again to buy me my favourite sushi and made me some soup when he had a small portion of rice. Seeing him eating nothing but rice but making sure I had a full delicious meal moved me to tears. I realised how much he cared and loved me. The next day i told my friends the truth, proud to say i loved him and how much he cared for me, regardless his job and status. They teased me for being "poor" but i completely ignored them. I didn't need toxic friends, all i needed was a loving caring friend, my dad 🥰

True. It's not like the mother was doing wrong things to get the money. She wasn't stealing or selling drugs smh. She was working.

I would always feel guilty when I scream at my mom in argument. It's heartbreaking to see children mistreating their parents when all they want is what's good for you.

The son is still young and he's going through an adolescent phase in which he really cares about what his friends think and that's sad. However, when he grows up and has his own kids then he'll understand the meaning of his mother's love and won't take her for granted. All his mother trying to do is to give him a better life by working so hard to earn money as a sanitation worker.

That's very sad, I hope he realises early. I also used to care too much about people's opinions that I always asked my mom to dress nicely, that was when I was 13 and now I'm 17 and am really proud of my parents ❤️

That was a good social experiment . So many kids these days are behaving in this way so it is a good video for them.
