LL Cool J was one of the most consistent rappers. His debut album came out in 1985 and went Platinum when he was 17. He was still putting out platinum albums in the 90’s.

This song used to get it MAD hype! Back then it was a big deal to have remixes with features. When Rampage said “Cool Like That”, it was a shout out (with cameo) to Digable Planets who was hot at the time. Also you were right LL Cool J is one of the very few OGs that sparked the industry in the 80s and still represents today!

LL has shared the stage with Run DMC and he will still step off that throne to handle business. Don’t mess with the elders…LL will rip some ish you ain’t ready for bro…no cap…but he stay humble. That kat you didn’t know and asked about, he was Rampage, look him and Phife Dog rip, look KRS up too…humble Kats, but any of them can still lay 🔥 down. After you hear “return of the ripper” (canibus diss) then you’ll understand. This was just royalty in this joint. Biggs,LL,Busta,Rampage…rip Big,Craig Mack. LL and Busta been getting it in since the 80s. Busta was in Leaders of the new school…you can’t touch these kats

Aye my guy. Please react to life we chose by nas. I promise you won't regret it. Unless you heard it already. To answer your question though. If big was still alive idk about the rap game being different but I do know that he would still be dropping in from time to time and jay zs career would not be as high of a caliber that he's looked at to be. Cause we all know who truly had the entire east coast held down and it was biggie. And thus to my next point. Although pac is a legend. He didn't have that shine and that warmth biggie had. And he certainly did not have the West coast held down. Dre did period end of story. So I think with that being said. Pac would of kept on getting himself publicly in trouble. And big and dre today would be extremely close like brothers even closer then Diddy and big. But all 3 of them would still overall be close. And thats honestly how I feel. I also think pac and suge even though they were really close music label wise is the same exact reason why they would of ended up probably killing each other cause money and pride would of broken them up and there both gangster af. Just like dre left him the game left him I think. Easy e left suge, and alot of other rappers left him too. Pac would of too. And he should of signed to dre after and squashed his beef with big. That's what could of and didn't happen. Hip hop head talk
