Dear diary, today I found out that people with signature weapons and constellations can struggle to clear abyss

A helpful tip also is that the Abyss counts stars across ALL runs, not just 1 single run. That means you can do a run with 3-stars in Chamber 1, another with 3-stars in Chamber 2, and then a last run for 3 stars in Chamber 3 to get 9 stars in Floor 12. This also allows for some suboptimal rosters to get by by specifically targeting certain chambers to 3-star, and then switching the team comp and doing another run to 3-star the chamber where the first team may not do so well. For example in the Abyss in the video, a well-invested Cryo carry like Ayaka is fine in 2nd half for ASIMON and green chicken, but she struggles against Coppelia which has cryo res. So you can 3-star the first 2 chambers, and then go for another run with a different team that can 3-star the final chamber.

This video gave me the confidence to 36-star the Abyss for the first time. Xiangling and Furina carried me. Thanks, Eakes.

I was accidentally finished spiral abyss from floor 9 to 12 in half an hour. With just using Navia lvl 80 and Noelle + Furina team comp. During my second chamber, I was left with 1 second.

watching vids like this make me think I also have the same issue, I always struggle on floor 12 but think its possible, just a skill/team comp issue, my characters are built for what they need and scale from. just not sure what. great vid as usual Eakes. Oh yeah, my account is good, that's not the issue lmao. To be fair, I often get in between 33 to 35 stars. But instead of feeling motivated because I'm close to making it, I don't want to bother. Having the drive to try over and over is what I'm lacking, and there's no way to make up for that. So my respect to those who don't give up and make it.

I would really like a guide for helping players new to the abyss know what teams comps are good against what types of enemies, maybe a general overview like: these types of enemies have elemental shields, these types have high res, these types are immune, these types punish not having a healer, etc etc right now I can kinda tell but I don't have a lot of team comp options and sometimes I just run into an enemy that's like "oh you dont have an electro character on your team? sorry you're getting two stars this floor" like I think I have the power to 36 star right now, but I don't have enough game knowledge so I keep taking good teams to floors that wreck them. My last clear was 33 stars, and I think if I knew better strategies against the different bosses I could 36 star it but it's a lot of info to go searching for individually a general "here is how to know what team comps do/don't work in a given floor" would be hugely helpful for me personally fighting them in overworld just does not teach you anything, you can brute force almost any boss in the game in overworld love the content as always!

Love the content/channel and this whole idea. My only thing is could you show the abyss history before doing it because some of these accounts there is no way they cant beat the abyss and feels more jabaited.

Today I not only got my first 3-star chamber on floor 12, I also got my second 3-star chamber!! So not at 36 stars yet, but I'm so proud of myself for getting 35 for the first time😄 Thank you Eakes for being a massive help and inspiration to all of us struggling with the abyss❤️

Bruh imagine not clearing abyss with that first account, like a clear it with mostly 4stars no 5star weapons with 200 ping, and have only been playing for 11months

Yeah. It took watching clear videos to make the jump. Having some strategies is really what made the difference. I was 33-35 stars and then boom.

I run an aggravate Alhaitham team. Not surprised to see him do well. Perplexed by Instructor set Zhongli. He can't use the EM. Does the 4 star set bonus proc for teammates?

Thanks to Eakes for having choosing my account in the video. I learned just how undercooked my account . I clear 36 stars on my main but couldn't get over the hump... until this most recent Abyss! I leveled some characters, talents and weapons, used hyperbloom and was able to clap this abyss!

I guess that's true I had only 6 built characters so i added lvl 40 Lisa and amber and was able to full star upto floor 10

I did this abyss on my friend's account with raiden c0 catch, sucrose c6 sac, mona c0 fav, and Bennett c3 aquila for the first half, and nahida, xingqiu, kuki and Fischl for the second half.

Actually managed to clear this one, Lyney carrying me as always. His vaporize team with furina does scary dmg at c0

I’m struggling a lot with Artifacts and a bit of character level

Bold of you to assume my account is better than i think when i have like 4 characters at 90 and like 15 at 60 or 70 (i have a hard time focusing on specific teams). I've 36ed before but basically if Wanderer doesnt have a good floor i have 0 chance lol

"Your account is better than you think" is true when every limited 5-star characters has got their signature weapons :) Actually, people who never got 36 stars on their accounts may lack belief they actually can do that. They also need to: 1) bring the best teams they can create based on their roster, 2) upgrade the artifacts/weapons/characters, 3) learn enemy behavior patterns. I got 36 stars by: 1) making sure my teams are viable by asking people, 2) upgrading artifacts, 3) watching YT guides on abyss.

I only have like 3 character fully built and the rest are all lvl 60 and 70 because I can’t make up my mind who I want to build haha

The thing is, I KNOW I can beat abyss, even with non-meta characters, like my klee who is on actual steroids and has her "signature" 5* and some of if not my best artifacts, but I just get easily triggered by my skill issue, that's it. But my acount is pretty decent actually, I have all DPS kinds (except hydro) leveled up and most of their respective supports too (Some being Klee/Hu Tao C1, Ganyu/Ayaka, Cyno/Raiden, Alhaitham, Navia, Wanderer C1)

My team(f2p) have a chance to 36 star abyss, main issue time to grind and lack of resin for farming XP, artifact, and matierials Main issue is I have good luck in summon character, main issue is artifact and maetiral farming, keep getting low amount or just bad stats, keep getting HP and defence artif for DPS My team is Dps (diluc) support (Raiden, zhongli, jean/Bennett) My diluc deal 5k per normal attack, and 8k+per hit of ult My Raiden ult dealt 15k-30k depend on stack, and 3k per normal of burst

I have like 16 or 17 five star characters and like except zhongli and shenhe (which both I got by surprise not expected early pity) all the other 5 star characters are dps characters...... I have every main dps in the game but no supports at all like kazuha, kokomi, even nahida or furina so idk what to do now just chilling with my 4 dps teams 😂😂

Took me 1 year to get a crimson witch plume with 10% crit rate, no crit damage, only crit rate and def stats and attack. Its what I needed to finally get 4pc crimson for hu tao. But the problem is my supports are underbuilt lmao

Graaaahhhhhh... i've got insane builds - Xiao, Cyno, Alhaitham are built - my alhaitham can do 28k-ish, my Cyno can do 22k skills, and my Xiao does like 34k. But, I have no hydros and I don't know how to do rotations! I'm a mobile player with the biggest skill issues known to man, it's so bad i never even cleared floor 12 with any stars. Since this is a new vid, ill try to use my earliness to get some advice LOL my current limited 5*s are Alhaitham, Nahida, Kazuha, Xiao, Venti, Cyno. Kazuha has no dps to support, Venti has no team to slot into... I pulled Kazuha, built and never used again. (all of my 5*s are built) I also have jean but she's on clam but still does good overall as for 4*s, my built ones are: Yaoyao, Fischl, Xingqiu (WIP), Bennett, Kuki Shinobu (another clam set..), Barbara, Chongyun (Hes kinda lacking tbh) I can't clear and it feels like it's just not working no matter what i try... Since current banner predictions say no hydro characters till 4.6, im thinking about pulling and building raiden to do a kazuha raiden national or Alhaitham + Raiden. It also means i could use a sunfire raiden xiao combo in the overworld and i love using that team with fischl so it might be a good idea, pls send help LMAO

I beat the Abyss easy 12-2/2/2 Now I'm 12-3/2/3 getting my ass kicked by the geo slimes while the first team needs only 60-75 secends 😮

I feel like my builds aren't great due to horrible artifact luck but I could probably get 36 stars if I wasn't suffering from severe skill issues and being a mobile player lmao... But! I finally managed to get 6 stars for the first time on Floor 12 after actually putting in some effort to use a functional team comp, and turning the graphics to the lowest so the game would run smoother on my phone. And honestly, I'm kinda proud of that! And missing out on 50 primos is seriously not a big deal so I'm satisfied with this for now :P

Listen if I had any of the first 2 accounts, I would have easily made 36 any day of the week. For now I'm stuck on 30, but I'm not really grinding

Step 1: give your team an unleveled deepwood and gilded set, give an electro member all your EM gear… Step 2: press all your abilities on cd mindlessly for hyperbloom reactions Win 😂 Otherwise my first advise to reach Energy recharge before anything else for a smooth rotation, only then bother with Crit attack and whatever

Oh yea, one more thing: using dendro should be a crime cuz it powercrept everyone so much that it made me hate the element (i literally never use dendro teams (even though i have Nilou but she was a mistake that i did) cuz its so much stuff and so time consuming for the big dmg that isn't even that big cuz on crowds its kinda great but lets be real: on single target situations IT SUCKS).
