Yes. To progress, you'll need the standard dupe of a given character with a wildly low pull rate and the in-game currency is pretty rare to get for free. So in other words, just another gacha game. Except pretty.

Been playing already, it's not nearly as insidious as some mobile games. The devs kind of want to give you any excuse to unlock more heroes, and the story progress is pretty easy so far. Recommend if you're into mobile games

Loads of comments by people who never touched AFK Arena of Journey. Among the gacha genre, these two games are by a WIDE margin the most f2p friendly. In Journey too, during the release period, you get copies of every single hero that released with the game for free just by logging in every day, along with a deluge of other free stuff.

I played this game a bit, till I quickly realised it's your typical run of the mill gacha game with almost no control over your characters aside from telling them to do their specials (which you can set to auto anyway)😂 but I have to say I really do like the art style. It's actually what got me to try it out. I love any add carbot gets his hands on either way and it helps if I can relate to what is being shown 😂.

Rewards for completing Season 2 : 500 diamonds ...... datz it.....an unwritten chapter then unlocks to various side quests ..... talk about a serious let down , after allll that walking and fighting spiders ..... you get 500 diamonds from the final battle against Phraestos WHICH you actually don't do the fighting , its' auto battle of the 4 maulers - none from your preferred fighters........ 😏......😌......😭
