detailed version: if damage brings you below 20 hp, heal back that damage up to 35 hp max therefore the damage needed to kill you is 35 in one shot also painkiller also gives extra defense on top of all that stuff

painkillers also it caps your base hp at 20 but your REAL hp as in effective and 41 per set amount of time and painkillers reduce dmg taken

combine laz buff with dependable and fearless, yosef will be raiden while you'll be Senator Armstrong. YOUR BODY HARDENS IN RESPONSE TO PHYSICAL TRAUMA

@@rapidfirevestige if you saw a notification of my comment, it was garbage i dont think it's 35dmg to kill, i'm fairly certain it's 20. 35 + all the defense buffs you can get seems like it would make you near-invincible 25% reduction from Fearless + 15% from Dependable + 25% from Laz + 10% from Quenched + 5% from Nourished + 10% from Koldera. all that damage reduction at 35hp? your effective HP would be close to or higher than 60 and 70, the highest damage a single melee hit and firearm blast can deal, respectively. but i'm also doubting my own calculations. i had all the reductions above except for Nourised and Fearless (which doesnt work on melee damage), and yet died to an Ice Pick heavy swing (28dmg), while i should've died to 40dmg instead... maybe the Lazarus buff is a little different. perhaps it won't STRICTLY prevent death unless losing more than 20hp, because i did notice something: i was at 25hp before getting hit by a Lead Pipe heavy swing, and that dropped me to 4hp. maybe, Lazarus buff understood that i'd need only 4hp damage to die, and so the Ice Pick finished me off easily since i had nowhere near enough defense to reduce 28 to 3.

@@SquarEleven oi try fighting 2 sicklers with a maria. it scared me darn scav thought it was a god and to put a cherry on top there was a hanger >:d long story short i died from a lead pipe scav after killing the sicklers and the hanger made me spam E at worst time.
