I think a part of the vault’s design is to cater towards the loot that shouldn’t be easily renewable, like an enchanted apple, but still obtainable in multiplayer.

Mojang should really introduce a variety of unique, non-craftable weapons, such as the Trident, as a reward for loot tables. In the same way that people searched for Excalibur or the Sword of Attila, Minecraft players should be able to search for their own rare Legendary items. This would keep players playing and searching long after they accumulate all the standard resources.

An armor trim template related to the trial chambers being in the vaults might be neat too. If the probablility of it being in a vault was 50 or 25 percent there would be incentive to explore multiple chambers without it being totally impossible to find.

Yes I have been wanting this for such a long time, I also thought that like archeology should have had a material like steel/sapphire etc items which is not craftable but you can excavate it and it has unique properties

Infusing the keys with an item from that structure, like an echo shard from the deep dark, or gold from a bastion, could create new "keys", so it makes sense that different keys open different vaults in other structures, as the keys pattern would be slightly modified to open said vaults.

See that’s one way to go about it. Make different keys for different structures craftable. One idea I thought about would be to just make different keys that are directly obtainable from the chamber as loot from the chamber. Since the chamber has mobs from all over the game like cave spiders, husks, strays, slimes, silverfish etc. It’s like this place where content from all different parts of the game are put in the same place.

I think they should have multiple uses per player, but the loot is worse on repeat uses, it would give a use to any excess keys gained and would give you something to do if you were bored

I likewise think that it needs to be infinitely reusable with the same cool down as the trial spawner. Making the loot “worse” with repeat uses isn’t a bad idea, especially if we’re playing around with what we think it “worse”. Say the high tier loot you might get the first time is a notch apple, or an armor trim. But the “low” tier loot on subsequent uses is some sand, which makes sand renewable. Or coal, which is common but hard to find in lower layers.

If the big boss reward for beating a trail chamber is a single use scratch card that MIGHT get you something good you could make yourself, or something like a diamond, I'm gonna be pissed off with it honestly. It's just a loot chest, what's special about it?

Honestly, I was really hoping that the key would allow access to a boss that you could replay as long as you had keys. There's even a room with what looks like a vault door on the side. I think this, combined with the wish that the boss would have a chance to drop a unique weapon, would fix most of the issues I have with the vault at the moment.

I was hoping for a replayable final challenge too, it's not that unreasonable. It is in the replayable challenge structure. Being a one use RNG loot generator is kinda , well, boring. Why give you multiple keys if you can only ever use one per chamber?

IDEAS FOR TRIAL VAULTS: • Special Enchantments, just like how you can only find Swift Sneak on Ancient Cities, special Combat-based Enchantments here would be amazing. Also, as @ibxtoycat said in the video, Overleveled Enchantments could also work too. • Unbrewable Potions: Another good idea, currently, the most unique potion is the Turtle Master Potion, it adds no new effects, but rather gives good effects but at a cost. Something like this would be amazing + new effects gotten only from potions from here! I'll leave yall to give ideas. • New Weapons or Armory: Minecraft is a Sandbox-Survival Game, and originally it had a more "RPG" approach, maybe adding things like that. The weapons from Minecraft Dungeons are amazing examples, some weapons are so amazing and would be incredible in base Minecraft! Something like a Trident, something optional, but when gotten, will be always in your Hotbar! • "Extra" Loot: The basic, Trial Chambers are the perfect opportunity to add a new Music Disc, also, new Armor Trims or even just Minecraft Items like God Apples could also work. Just some extra things. PS: It would be interesting for the Vault to drop items from two Loot Tables! One with the "Extra Loot Table" section i mentioned (Armor Trims, God Apples, Music Disc, Ores, etc..) and the other "Unique Loot Table" (with the Unbrewable Potions, Special Enchantments, New Weaponry and Armory, etc...)

Having potions of levitation that can only be obtained by unlocking a vault would be fun for trolling players or as a last resort in a sticky situation

Here's my personal thoughts on this. -There should be an internal cheats-only setting that allows you to make some Vaults re-useable, for the purpose of servers and the like (or possibly a gamerule) -Some unique drops will be an absolute requirement, as otherwise the potential loot will be either outclassed by the midgame or let you skip straight to lategame equipment. Trims are a great option, and we know there will probably be Notch Apples, but there should probably be something original and at least vaguely functional when it comes to the trial vaults specifically. -If they want to phase out using chests for structures, they can't have a billion different types of keys or use one key for everything. Some vaults should be *unlocked* (useable without a key), and vaults exclusive to specific large-scale structure types should have exclusive keys.

Some cool loot , for the chambers in general , could be : 1) the pots in the hallway have a chance to spawn with a unique design so breaking them gives you a new sherd. Maybe sherd variants like mossy or skulk can be added. 2) Getting stacks of blocks like tuff or deepslate or copper. Which seems lackluster but would be really helpful. 3) An empty totem. It can be charged with a Wind Cell (dropped by breeze) or a Poison Cell (rarely dropped by poison skeletons or their trial spawner). The charged totem is a reusable item that gives specialised effects. Like launching yourself in the air and giving you fall damage resistance for a couple seconds of charged by the Wind Cell (it goes on a cooldown after that. Each Wind Cell can last for 3 uses after which the totem becomes uncharged.) Also , maybe the totem of undying can be "crafted" by charging the empty totem with somthing that may be obtained from Woodland mansions , outposts or from the vault itself. This instantly makes the loot in a trial chamber very good.

Here's some ideas I think would be cool for the vault loot: 1) an uncraftable tool/weapon. A mace might be cool (massive damage, breaks shields but has a long cooldown) 2) new treasure enchantment. My idea is a "pocket" enchant for leggings or chestplate. It could allow for an extra stack of inventory or another slot to hold a totem (it would be nice if we didn't have to constantly look at the totem in the offhand, lol). 3) a new mob. Either an egg or a unique block that could be used to build a new golem 4) a new music disk or trim (must be good) 5) beetroot seeds 6) ender map (shows location of nearest end city when in the end) 7) nether dousing rod (same as above but for fortresses) 8) a new, uncraftable, kinda OP potion. Invincibility?

What could be added as a single uncraftable tool is a non mending tool or fast durability use like the armadillo and brush and it would do something we would not expect from Mojang to do like mine two blocks at once with a slower mining speed or a new recipe to go with it. It needs to be like an elytra. Bundles are an option but it would not work because it is not new. There must be no spoilers on a new thing or it would kill the surprise

After brainstorming for a bit I think I know how to fix the vault, it should be lootable multiple times, but every time it doubles the keys/adds Keys needed to open it, so maybe 1, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 or 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32. It should cap at around the 6-8 of opening it. another option is to give the key another use, my idea is that you can know craft a chest, with a key in the middle, after you craft it the key will be left behind in the crafting bench(same way bottles are left behind when crafting a honeyblock) and will get a glowing effect like enchanted items or another visual chance to indicate that its a key linked to a chest, because now that key will be the only way to open that chest, if the second option is used I would make it so that you can copy keys, either the map way or the smithing template way, with the second option i would also increase the items rarity a bit, otherwise you are going to have way more keys as you ever need in no time.

I really like this. Because there’s a “soft limit” to how many times you can open the vault, it’s up to the players to decide if it’s no longer worth it to burn a stack of keys for a couple of items. At that point, you might as well go to another trial chamber to open a different vault. Thanks, now I’m going to be sad when Mojang inevitably doesn’t do this!

Ok so my thoughts on multi-use vaults is as such. Give the vaults 2 loot tables. One that has unique / good loot and one that has way way way worse loot... the first time you open the vault then you get loot from the good loot table and every time after that then you'd get the worse loot so that if you want the unique loot you have to explore but if you wanted to farm keys then there is still a reason as to why

One thing they can do is that tier is different tier keys that give you different tier stuff, so there can be one key that you get from killing a boss and one you get from killing a bunch of enemies

Item drops that would make the vault worth it: -overlevelled enchantments (like mentioned in the video) -trial chamber specific armor trim. -chestplate specific special enchantment, this is the only armor piece that doesn’t currently have this. -and of course low chance of items like god apples, diamonds etc. The drop rates would of course have to be balanced so that the vault isn’t completely overpowered and so that exploring multiple different trial chambers is worth it.

The only solid way I could see the vault loot being unique AND exciting, is if they finally add a progression system into the game, because this could literally be anything, also it would unlock a new phase of the game, just like how its exciting to open the jungle temple for the first time in Terraria.

1) Vaults should be reusable by a player, but with a really long cool down period. I propose that Vaults “reload” every Full Moon. One of the best features of Trial Chambers is the replay value of being able to take on the challenge over and over, so it doesn’t make sense to me that the reward for completing that challenge doesn’t have at least some replay value. 2) I think that the Trial Chamber loot needs to come in three tiers; the Chests and Decorated Pots should contain low level loot that can help you with your Trial (Food, Emeralds, Armor, Weapons, building blocks), the Trial Spawners should have mid-level loot (Trial Keys, Diamonds, high Level Enchanted Books, Music Discs), and then the Trial Vaults should contain the unique loot (new Enchantment Book, Smithing Templates, Copper Horns, Capes, unique paintings like the unused Element Paintings, etc) 3) I think that the best unique loot that Mojang has done for some of the recent updates has been the new Enchantments in Swift Sneak and Soul Speed, and the new Music Discs so I hope that Mojang comes up with another as part of the Trial Chambers.

I might as well spread a really good idea I heard, but instead of having a cooldown or hard limit to the vaults, the amount of keys to open it would increase for every use, making it so it will get expensive to the point where it’s no longer worth using, and you’re better off finding a new one.

@@catsdogswoof3968 Idk, but making it inefficient after a certain point would discourage someone setting up camp in a trial chamber for infinite loot. Not like it’s impossible to do that already, but it sorta goes against the theme of the structure of coming _back_ to it now and again.

I could see a good argument being made for having a game rule for whether they operate on a cooldown or single use like with keepinventory or whatever the one is for disabling phantoms. (That's a thing, right? I can't remember if you can disable phantoms.)

5:12 I must agree with all mentioned ideas to keeping it a more interesting feature.. Now I know people will say but the balancing of the Vault but remember the message says disable its functionality meaning its exactly like the Shrieker where you can pick it up but now you can get anything from it.. Perhaps picking it up can give players a brand new storage block or a new redstone block.. If you pick it up and use a key with it after moving it, it wont drop items but can act as a key lock to an iron door..

This is how I think they could improve this system a lot, first they add the vaults in every dimension and have tiers to it -Trail chamber vaults (Mid their loot) (Tier I) -Nether Vaults (Good loot) (Tier II) -End Vaults (best gear) (Tier III) You use the key in different dimensions and should get rewarded better and to explore these dimensions and going through danger to get to a higher tier vault for better loot, and there would a progression system because it would work if you at the start of the game, middle or end.

- Amethyst Buds - End Portal Frame blocks - Spawn Eggs I'd also enjoy seeing vault items that aren't quickly or at all renewable. Blocks that can't be obtained by players normally like end portal frame blocks or Amethyst Buds would be fantastic. I'm a big fan of spawn eggs as limited prizes in survival multiplayer servers, for example. There are many kinds as well, so plenty of reason to keep hunting for more vaults.

Idk, randomly putting unbreakable blocks around in the world would be incredibly frustrating for excavating/base building. You want to make a base underground and you find a trial chamber? Well, you either have to build around it, or forget that location entirely. At least reinforced deepslate takes a long time to mine.

Plus there are always ways that break such blocks, it just feels like the spirit of the item is undermined by its ability to be broken. Imagine going to a stronghold to get to the end and the portal is broken, its gonna abe the same feeling.

I think it really depends on how many vaults are in each trial chamber and what the final loot table is for what can be found in them. I'm a fan of the unique loot path, if only because it could give a little more insight as to who built the chambers and what they considered valuable enough to store inside a specially locked box.

The thing with the vault is, it can be scaled, right? Like you have decent vaults in trial chambers, but really good ones in end cities. Still, regardless of what vault the player wants to open, there will always be incentive to go to trial chambers, coz they’re the only places you can actually get trial keys? Basically what I’m saying is the vault won’t be the main appeal of the structure. The loot won’t be the main appeal of the structure. The keys will be (and the experience of the structure itself), as the keys will be able to get you better loot in other structures.

something that I think might be cool is if you had items that alerted you of mobs outside your vision range, when there just outside of their alert distance that they can spot you for example if creeper spawns behind you when they lets say 20 blocks away that said item would alert you somehow, maybe popping up a creeper icon above the health bar but the item could be made to one type of mob, so you still have to find the other types and they clutter up your inventory

A quick touch on the frustration for bad loot RNG issue, an excellent (if a little band-aid) solution is guaranteed drops every once in a while; so if you didn't hit the let's say 15% jackpot 10 times in a row, you are guaranteed to hit it the next time you open a vault, clamping the practical chance to 10%. Although if you are doing this solely to make the player open more vaults, you may just drop the random element altogether. This technique serves to have a variation between lucky and unlucky players, but just to limit it. Having an element of luck may make getting lucky exciting, but the primary concern would be solved by this feature making the element of luck obsolete.

My design philosophy for unique loot is as follows: It could be a permanent upgrade (decorative blocks, tools, elytra, etc) However it should always have a consumable component, even more credits if it is the same resouce and it can be crafted into something perpetually useful. With the leftover ones craftable into consumables that server a purpose. Maybe some glow binding that can make armor glow decoratively, while also allowing for the crafting of spectral arrows, now in the colors ink and stone. Or anything else, this is just an example, on first find, its a cool upgrade, on later finds, its less exiting, however it can still upgrade arrows so its not useless.

I think a random chance of unique loot (patterns and sherds), rare items and valuable loot would make it an exciting venture. Maybe some blocks of gold, emeralds or diamonds, valuable potions, and the like. It would also be fun if the loot included maps showing things like the location of a mine shaft, a lush cave, a nearby ancient city, a few trail ruins, some geode coordinates, and other sometime hard-to-find local "features" that would be good to know yet still require exploration. It doesn't all need to be diamond tools and armor.

I want there to atleast be the option to make the vaults re-usable as it would be good for maps that want to use that feature. Naturally, they should be 1 use, but the option to have them renewable would be great

i think it would be great if they added the power system from minecraft dungeons so the loot would very based on how much power you have, or how good your tools and armor are, so if you are in iron you arent getting overpowerd loot for the state you are in, and if you are higher like diamond or netherite, you would get much better loot that would help you, mixed in with maybe a new uniqe item like a disc trim or new weapon, kinda like the trident that can only be gotten from there

11:49 the pictures although you arent saying you necessarily get *these* but they were placed there when talking the powerful loot.. I would say to a degree is aight but not great in the sense when it comes to Netherite (which doesnt make any sense for supposed lore purposes), the Totems break the whole Pillager thing going to a woodland mansion or starting a raid, and the Nether Star kills its only progression system of getting a beacon.. I would like to say a good replacement idea if you wanted to add something that helps get a Nether Star quicker is by having potential Mob head drops for Withers since the Wither Head drop can be quite annoying at times so having an extra way on top of that would be nice.. As for the other two I mentioned there isnt really much I could say that would be good alternatives, starting a raid isnt that complicated and tbh the raid itself even with lesser gear isnt all that bad if you take precaution and maybe even the extra preparation with defense and terrain.. The rest of the items are great and although some may say the smithing template doesnt make much sense I would like to point out it isnt exactly a piece of Netherite itself, the Vault dropping Netherite would have to be a Nether structure because that where it makes the most sense.. The other items are fine since you gotta have stuff a little more powerful especially since these are apparently somewhat challenging and I would assume would be hard for newer players and maybe fresh world players but in general existing players need the better loot or atleast more unique loot to say the least..

What they should do in this update is: -Vaults(Obviously given) -Combat update -Combat based enchantments -Gear from MC:Dungeons -Enchantments from MC:Dungeons If they want this update to be about “Dungeons” or these “Trials” than make the combat more engaging similar to Java combat. Have weapons that contain their own gimmick, the sword could have side swipe, daggers have faster attack speed, axes stop shields, have items like the trident that do effects like fire or freezing. We had the Catacombs mod on our server many years ago. It would reset and the day that we shutdown the mod for one last series of raids was the largest player turnout our server ever had. They are a really good idea provided there is something unique to reward players.

What do you mean you wouldn't be excited by the second or third trial chamber when looking for the higher level enchantments. Even if the vault gave you one of each you would still need to find one for every tool and piece of armor that's at least 8 vaults you would need to visit in order to max out your armor and tools. After that you would be gathering extras for if you forget to mend your items and they break, your stuff burns in lava due to not having netherite yet, or you die on a cactus and lose all your stuff.

Outro joke was cute, 7/10. Enchanted Golden apples are so rare and OP, I think even if the vault only spit out one, guaranteed (and maybe a couple other less OP items, like an enchanted iron piece of armor and enchanted iron tool/weapon), it would be worth it for most people, as a guaranteed way to get one, as opposed to opening 100 chests it could possibly be in and hoping.

Personally I think that the Trial Vault needs to have some sort of loot unique to it that makes you want to go get it. A new enchanted book/ gear. A new weapon/ tool. A new armor trim, a new banner pattern. Maybe a new resource that allows you to trim your armor a new color (I just really want both a brown and orange trim, the copper trim currently looks like an ugly combo of the two). If the loot is enchanted iron gear, no one will want it. If the loot is enchanted diamond gear, it probably won’t be as good as if you went to an ancient city or an end city instead. If the loot is diamonds and emeralds, those are both already easily obtainable. If the loot is enchanted gapples, those are already easily obtainable through ancient cities. If the loot is garrots/ gapples, you can just go to a bastion remnant. Currently the most valuable thing you can get from this structure is the building blocks it’s made of. Not exactly a good thing.

What if they added a new weapon exclusive to the trial chamber? Or even some of those special pvp update enchantments? For the former, I propose a wind staff or fan (a similar class of weapon to the trident), which doesn't deal damage (or if it does, roughly an amount comparable to a wooden sword), but inflicts a knockback effect on par with the breeze. it's essentially a combat-optimized goat horn. If they go with the enchant route, you already explained the pitfalls of that, but i like both ideas.

I think the super loot is the best idea, the best way would be 100% chance of mega enchantment and some other good stuff but make 4 or 5 of them and put them in a different trial chamber vaults

I think that vaults should be renewable, however they only give you non-renewable loot once per player that loot depending on the structure to make finding all the structures much more rewarding but still rewards that want to play a challenge multiple times

I think adding a new material that crafts one or more new weapons or armor pieces to the vault could be an alluring idea. If it only drops a few of the material, then it will beckon the player to seek out other trial chambers so they can build the item[s]. I wouldn’t say that it should be better than netherite, but maybe an alternative or a new type of bow or something. As long as it’s not too OP, then I can see this being an enticing addition. Although it doesn’t help the single player problem much, I think it would help bring some excitement to the vault.

I think it would be good if there are unique items that drop only for the first time a player opens a vault. Although there will be a cooldown of every 1 hour afterwards, subsequent opening of the vault will only obtain the same player ordinary mid-game items afterwards, like the loot table that are currently present. In this way the block will not be completely useless after one use. At the same time if players need more unique loot, they will need to explore for another chamber. I feel like this will be a good middle ground. Maybe the edges of the vault can appear diamond-blue color if it was never opened by that player. After opening, the edges will change to copper color as it is shown currently, to indicate the player that they have already opened it before.

Idea for the keys.. Make vaults replace treasure chests and city chests, manor houses etc etc, so you'd need to take some with you on adventures to grab the loot in treasure structures

They could add a lot new enchanments to the trial chambers. Maybe Freezing on sword or bow. It's like fire but you get the freezing effect. So less damage but you get slower, Or some unique enchantment for the shield which has none so far.

I think a cool reward would be trial chamber only equipment like a sword that does the same damage as iron but can freeze enemies, or an axe that attacks slower but has stronger knock back (and can be enchanted with more knock back) something that makes it worse than your post game netherite god gear, but something that makes it better than that gear, that can’t be simply replicated with an enchantment (a fire sword would be useless when fire aspect exists…)

i'm anti trial chambers and auto-crafter, when the rumors for a new type of dungeon structure was rumored i was stoked for a revamped dungeon as its the oldest structure. Minecraft neglects the old features majority of the time.

I think that a clever fix would be a level system using achievements. You can get a 'score' from doing more, and the higher the score, the better loot you get from vaults. Quite a bit of work, but would be cool!

One big problem that Minecraft has that makes iron gear, enchanted or not, undesirable is the progression. With the current progression system in Minecraft, or lack thereof, you can get iron gear within minutes. Once you have diamond gear and Mending, iron gear becomes next to useless.

I think how the vault should work is that we claim something from the vault, it will be a singular item then wait 30 minutes before using the same vault again. Similar to how piglin bartering works, but with a cooldown. Yes I do think vaults and/or spawners should be mined in case someone thinks they can transform the trial chamber structure into something else. And players might not want those items there.

Also the 1 time vaults existing makes sense so the trial chambers have diminishing returns. I don’t need 30 blocks that spawn me iron and gold items every time I clear it, only having 15 now give me items makes sense. The rewards should go down at least once for repeated clears

Here’s an idea: the first time a vault is used it’ll give items from an item pool with rarer stuff that you don’t come by often, and every other time after that it’ll give items from a second pool with items that aren’t as great but they don’t hurt to have

I still have a strong feeling for reusablity even after you bring up exploration. Lets say that these replace chests in these structures, and just like silentwhisper had to go through 8 ancient cites for the silence trim. He could come to the only ancient city and try again a few hours later and try again or if he wants to he can go to another. We dont always have the access to prune chunks as easy as java can. I dont want to have a lot of unused chunks when i could just replay the same structures that are closest to me. Even if there is a cool down too.

they COULD make the vault replayable in the same way you can fight the ender dragon. make it some kind of ritual you must perform to reactivate the vault and they can explain it like its a special portal that spits out items from a void dimension somewhere maybe in the end? so to reactivate the vault for a player who's already interacted with it maybe make it require the sacrifice of something unique you can only get from the vault itself? Also while I do think this is a great idea I can't deny it does feel unwhelming to me. not because they showed iron gear being dropped as loot. that isn't the underwhelming thing. in fact the issue is that they highlight this games biggest issue in general with this new structure and mechanic. loot is limited. there are only so many possible logical items they could put in a dungeon chest or an end chest. every structure that has loot chests in it has the SAME issue here. diamond gear is diamond gear. woot woot you found more of the same item with some slight variety in what possible enchantments it'll have. it gets boring looking at the same loot over and over again. i think personally since they flopped with Minecraft dungeons they could implement a new loot system for Minecraft itself. give us a more diabloe-esk style of loot. Vault Hunters modpack is a great example of how it could work. or just look at the Apotheosis mod that adds a ton of randomness to the gear you can obtain. you could add In new trims that come with buffs when applied to the gear you use. they can add in things to customize tools and weapons more deeply similar to the trims in the form of sword sheaths, tool belt loops to hold your pickaxe and other tools that when customized with them will add maybe an extra level of efficiency. there is a path forward to fixing this loot issue across the whole game but they won't do these things. they want the game to SEEM deeper then it really is and that's the problem it's not deep when you look at the gear system.

Weapons and tools need their own version of 'trims'. New visual shapes or textures to add spice and variety. Even better if those trims could add new small effects to play....(0.5% chance silk does fortune or vice-versa, sword could gain a curve, hoe could become more scythe-like with a 5% chance to add +1 Fortune, as a few simple examples).

I like what they're trying to do with this. I don't know why they don't just do what the LootR mod does but it is what it is. I'm not of the opinion it needs to have unique loot, but I do think Loot balance should be overhauled across the board. For instance when will treasure enchantments actually be, you know, treasure? The villager rebalance seems to point towards this kind of shift too, making Villagers less essential for getting treasure enchantments.

If the Trident was only available to get from Guardians then ocean monuments would be visited a lot more. I think that's what they need to do with new massive structures like the trial chambers. Add more unique non-renewable items such as new weapons and new weapon types like imagaine if you could get say daggers from a vault. A new weapon that can only be obtained there. More people would be interested in finding and exploring a trial chamber It's like how woodland mansions would be visited a lot for the totem of undying but then Mojang decided to make it available elsewhere (raids) so a lot of people stopped exploring for woodland mansions and other people stopped after finding one. Armor trims were a good addition for example. They make us want to explore the world and find these structures so we can make our armor look cool but I don't think that's enough Then you also have the problem with exploration because while Mojang wants us to explore more and more the world sizes also get bigger and bigger the more we explore which can eventually lead to corruption or unplayable worlds so I feel like they should also try to put a world trim tool inside of the game so that people can easily trim their worlds or update chunks of their choosing. I know it's possible already with like 3rd party software but I'd like to see something official and easier to access

How i think they will make the Vault work... I think the point is that, when you go the Trial Chambers, you will fight the Mobs and get the mid loot from the Trial Spawners (that's how it works currently, the word mid doesn't mean "bad", but rather, midgame loot) And, when you get keys, you will use Vaults and get special loot, in other words, a reason to *go look for* a Trial Chamber is for the *Vault Loot* Also, if the community does like how the Vaults work and they add something similar to other structures, they should not make "Structure-based Vaults" (i mean like, Desert Pyramid Vaults, Jungle Pyramid Vaults, etc...), instead, there should be a single new block that can be universally placed in every structure. I feel like the *VAULTS* really just fit on the Trial Chamber, a "Locked Chest" or something like that would work way better for other structures. Example: I'm gonna use the Desert Pyramid, there will be the common 4 chests, and on the secret room, there should be a special block (maybe not Locked Chest, but just a new unique and interesting container block) that can only be used once per player. In other words, out of the 5 loot blocks on a Desert Pyramid, you would only have access to 1. For me, this is the best idea instead of replacing every single Chest and Barrel for a new block.

Seeing the enchanted iron armor come out bummed me out because that can be acquired very easily after one nice with a basic iron farm. The situation with mojang right now is very similar to the situation that happened with the lacklustre updates of 1.10 and 1.11 after the 1.9 update but before the 1.13 update. 1.16 is the 1.9 and 1.17 - 1.21 is the 1.10 or 1.11. That means that 1.22 will be the next 1.13.

03:45 I dunno, Enchanted Iron Gear is usually good enough for The End on Vanilla Servers if enchanted well enough, not to mention on servers that aren't forgiving or don't have backups, Enchanted Iron Gear is alot better to take into The End instead of your Best Gear as if you fall into the Void with Enchanted Iron, it isn't as heavy as a loss vs. losing Enchanted Netherite Gear, an Enchanted Trident, or an Enchanted Turtle Shell per se. Enchanted Iron Gear has it's perks. I'll admit that when I make my enchanted picks, the Fortune III one I use an Iron Pick for so I don't confuse it with the Silk Touch Pick (Which is usually Diamond or Netherite), and it saves me on Diamonds and Netherite Ingots. If there is nothing that requires a Diamond or Higher Tier Pick to mine and fortune it, then Iron works well enough. At the end of the day I guess it comes down to player preference XD.

i think instead of the guaranteed chance at say efficiency 6 book(or similar) that it drops a book that randomly upgrades an enchantment by 1 level(this one be guaranteed) with a chance at one that allows for an upgrade of your choosing(still only 1 level) and these 2 "books" can only be gotten from trials. this way the loot isnt exactly overpowered but at same time also leaves people wanting to raid it.

What about a new enchantment called Vaulting ( tier 1,2,3 ) chance for bonus loot while in a trial chamber. You can only get it through vaults. So this makes trial runs with tier 3 to have a good chance at high tier loot. Maybe 5% drop chance and 50% chance when opening a vault. This chance increases while holding looting.
