As we age throughout life, our comfort zone will get smaller if we do not challenge ourselves enough. Naturally, we accumulate more and more responsibilities as we age, which also makes it harder to "get out" of the comfort zone.

Are you going to allow your comfort zone to get smaller over the years?

Its nice to be in that age when only responsibility is going to school.

I think most people take that period of life for granted.

Video was super relateable, so chill to hear you chat whilst skating around! Feel you on the job topic. Been in a job that was supposed to be a temporary thing but nearly 2/3+ years now and don't really see myself staying there for ever but its a super super chill job work is boring but easy and gets me great flexibility but every time I go to leave I get scared to leave my comfort zone or the job falls though and teaches me to stay in the zone. Makes it hard especially since I'm trying to become a barber so I'm in college and the job lets me be flexible for the future so I'm kinda trapped between a few things because of it. I've recently picked up skateboarding as a way to challenge myself and not get stuck in the comfort zone but its been a very rough start sadly but hopefully it get the confidence to actually go out and push myself

@@sc00t thank you for your lovely comment, I appreciate you! I can definitely relate to the job situation - I ended up staying at this one job for almost 6 years and at one point never thought I’d ever leave. But I’m so glad that I did. Regarding your situation though, it sounds like it at least isn’t taking up all your time since you also have college. Amazing you’ve picked up skating too. That in itself is a move out of the comfort zone imo. If I could say one thing that I personally think helps progressing in skating is to skate with people that are better than you :) Keep pushing and don’t stop ♥️

You're right my man. I've let my comfort zone get REAL small and it became a bitch to get out. I think it's important to not force yourself out of it, but at least acknowledge that you have to get out of it. After that it's just between you and father time. Keep yourself responsible but do it your own way, as long as you just do it. Sick tricks btw, encourages me to pick up my board again and keep trying.

maybe they have kids or family that don't allow risk taking?
@MattiasWyattАй бұрын
@@paunchcoorlightly4000 kids are definitely a valid factor. However, there are just so many people that tend to loose themselves as soon as they have kids. I think it’s important to create a balance between the two
@paunchcoorlightly4000Ай бұрын
@@MattiasWyatt True. I think it's just smart for those in that case to take reasonable risks. Like be able to provide for them while working on stuff that fulfill themselves.
