It's difficult but doable. Know the difference between a friend and an acquaintance. Your co-workers are not your friends, and they're NOT your family. This is NOT a Vin Diesel movie. We're not friends or family, we're acquaintances who put our lunches in the same fridge.

Co workers are most definitely not your friends…especially in an office environment. They are like little snitches just waiting for their chance to advance their own careers/standing in a company at the expense of others. A good tip in general to to avoid the overly happy and positive people like the plague as they are 100% bad news. The best advice I could give is do your work, keep to yourself and leave at the end of the day.

I can agree with a lot with what you are saying! I am mostly talking about the work outings that they expect you to attend and afterwork activities that seem to be forced upon us. But you should most definitely keep to yourself and choose whether you want to participate in extra curricular activities with them or not.

I quit my job, but my coworkers still want me. I don't need them. They even call me, but I ignore them.

💯💯 I’m being attacked privately by two of my coworkers I thought I was cool with, just because I stay to myself. They don’t know I was told that they talk about me behind my back. I may do generic conversations like what are your plans for Christmas? Or how’s your kids, but when the gossiping and back biting starts I put my headphones on so I guess that’s a problem for them but oh well lol

My duke thanks for keeping it 💯 with this subject! At a job,take care of your obligations & make your $! Friends are irrelevant! They don't pay the bills or the pay rent/mortgage!

Happy to see you back 👏🏾🥰 This is some great advice. My sister and I were recently talking about this, because I heard a couple of my coworkers calling me stuck up/ditzy. They literally said it loud enough so I could hear them 😂 Only because I'm not interested in their daily gossiping, weekend trips and after work hangouts. Personally, I like to keep to myself. Love these styles of videos, more please!

I've heard two of my co-workers laughing and gossiping about me and one of them called me a stupid mother fucker. It took all of me not to go off on them and a co-worker to stop me. It wasn't worth losing my job so I told the supervisor.

Unless you make direct eye contact with me, or shout me out, you’ll honestly never hear a thing from me. I used to be that person who would talk to everyone, but with enough bad experiences, I know my peace of mind is more important than pleasing other people.
