I can't even imagine getting tired of florals. They're so versatile. You can go from chic to grunge and everything in between. I find I'm always buying yet another leaf die because it's a tad bit different and would look gorgeous with my florals. I have this particular YCS box and love it. The stamps are a little awkward to use but always print clearly, so, yay. And the iced spruce will make a gorgeous dark stencil. I just did an envelope yesterday using a flat top brush, iced spruce distress oxide and a Queen Anne's lace stencil. Knocked my socks off, it was so gorgeous. I even took a picture of it and texted my husband. :'D

I love Sundays when they start with a video from you. YCS nature themed boxes are the ones that I prefer, so many pretty florals and butterflies. The bee theme was one of my favorites. Nina, you made some beautiful ephemera for your journal today. I really liked the dragonfly page. You inspired me to go play with some of my lovely stamps and papers to see what I can make today! I hope you are still enjoying your garden in sunshine.❤❤

Awwww, thank you Debbie. Yes the nature themed boxes are my favourites as well and the bee themed one was one of my favourites also. Good morning nina, a good stencil is a treasure in every stash.The stencils in this box are very beautiful.I can imagine if this is not your style you would hope for something else, but even then the content of these boxes are beautiful. I was at the KreaDoe yesterday, a big event in Utrecht. I had a lovely day, saw so many beautiful things to use, but made choices and was very pleased with the things I bought. It is easy to get overwhelmed. I bought the Gustav Klimt paperpad from Stamperia to finally start a journal inspired by his art... Have a good sunday, hope you see the sun, I woke up with the sun through the curtains, it is still cold, but sunshine makes up for that. A big sundayhug from lena xxx

Good afternoon Lena. I was so pleased with the stencils, wonderful designs. Glad to hear you had a productive day at the KreaDoe. The Klimt pad is a beauty so I’m sure you’ll enjoy that. A day in the garden for me as it’s been beautiful here. Still only 14 degrees, but glorious sunshine. Took Toby for a nice long walk afterwards, and now giving my legs a rest before I cook dinner. Oh, Nina! Happy surprise. I love it when you use the goodies from these boxes. Your creations today are fabulous! Awesome, awesome. I got fifteen boxes, but stopped ordering when she departed from the floral items. I did not like trains, flamingo/tropical, and farm boy theme. I may have to give it another try. Love those stencils! Love the patterns of papers and always happy to get rub ons! 🙏🥰 TFS.

Yes, the quirkier boxes can be difficult to use if it’s not your style. I always love the botanical/nature themed ones. Glad you like what I made with these items 💕🌸 xo

@@NinaRibenaMixedMedia It was so sad to leave Spain, we just fell in love with it! We have adjusted, but it’s very different in Canada, the grocery prices are staggering in comparison! We are spoiled now because we were right in the Puerto de Estepona looking at the sea every day and now everything will be measured against that!😂😂. We are already looking at towns on the coast more towards Malaga for our return!🤣🩷

Hi Nina! I love how your creative mind works! I’m always so impressed by how you use the monthly YCS supplies and seem to come up with lovely ideas that think outside the box. I LOVE the ephemera items you made today and will look forward to seeing you add some of them into your YCS journal. I had gotten these boxes from January 2022 through December 2023 and thought I would take a break from them because I would get behind using them and although I have loved focusing on collage the last couple of years, I’m really wanting to do other things as well again (mixed media art journal layouts). But… I really missed getting them so I ordered the January and February boxes when I ordered the subscription again starting with March. 😁 Thanks for sharing your creativity and inspiration! What a beautiful kit. I really like those rub-ons. I think I would have left the raggedy edge on the postcard. To me, it must makes it look like it's been hanging around somewhere for awhile. But I totally get why you trimmed it. Eagerly waiting for part 2.

The fact that this box is six months old does say something. I do think the boxes have improved since I bought a couple of months' boxes which had a lot of items which were repetitive (hundreds of basically blank tickets!). This box gas some lovely items. It might be worth buying one box a year. I would love tips on using the vellum sheets. Beautiful creations today!

I think that’s more to do with me not keeping up with them quick enough. But I agree it’s nice to see some fresh products in these boxes and less of the repetitive items 🌸
