I’ve lost all respect for her, all trust, all faith, and all belief in her. This is literally a “pulled the rug from beneath you” situation! As such, however fucked up in her mind and finally realizing she made a mistake, regretful, and wanting me back she may be, I just can’t anymore. I gave her all I could have possibly given, and I’m drained. And, now, the thought of touching her again - even the slightest hug - makes me genuinely nauseous. The thought of kissing her again repulses me. In fact, remembering that I HAVE done all of this with her in the past makes me feel sick and tainted. It’s not even the fact these things have happened with another man - it’s her willingness to do so. There is a bit of jealousy of course; I’m human. But, the largest part is just a profound and all-encompassing disappointment in her; it makes me so sad… But, now I am focused another direction: forward. What frustrates me is knowing we were meant to be together - by the Divine! And, that thread is keeping me tied and conflicted. It’s not a “I really thought…” or “I was so sure…” I KNEW - like, gravity exists and 1+1=2, KNEW. No doubts or questions in my mind or heart at all. I can’t really even explain it better. So, I am VERY confused. It feels like someone just revealed that my parents weren’t my parents after 52 years, or that ‘up’ is actually ‘down.’ Like scientific fact just became fantasy… So, I’m stronger every day, more detached, and sometimes I wake up and don’t even think about her for a while. Then it comes flooding back, and I spin and struggle some days. The worst part is the struggle between loving her so much - she was the love of my life - and hating and despising her with equal depth and intensity. I’ll never give my heart to anyone but myself, my dog, and the Divine again - EVER!!
