This is a running conversation in my family. Presence matters. It's even soothing to parents to have the small sounds of children. We don't think about that until that moment comes when you suddenly pause what you're doing and think: 'It's too quiet, better check!' At times, complete silence is disruptive to the flow of living life with a family.

It keeps me on edge when someone is making constant noise around me. I can focus, study or rest only in total silence. I had a bad family so their footsteps would make my stomach clench. Now i live alone in bliss. It is so comfortable and peaceful i don't know how the hell i am ever going to get married. On the other hand i was always aware of the value of hand made, home made, love made things. I used to complain about the chef putting masculine energy into the food in restaurants (not to the waiter obv) 😂 it is invaluable and extremely nourishing when someone channels love into things or when your loved ones do things for you.

My 10 year old son does the same thing he loves to be in the room talking to me while I cook. He comes as close as possible lol. He also loves doing tech projects with my husband they spent all morning putting a set he got for Christmas together and he was so happy.

It’s true! Our presence is so hydrating My man and I have a joke that I “cured” his insomnia because when I am with him, he gets the best nights sleep whereas when I’m not there it’s back to anxious sleepless nights He says I’m so peaceful He also loves hearing me cook in the kitchen. The sound of the pans clinking and food frying is soothing Even his ferrets.. I bought them snacks for Christmas and he said they normally don’t like them. But with the bag I bought, all of a sudden they like them now! Even animals feel our femininity 😅❤❤

I remember having an argument with my mom when I was very young telling her that her voice was the most beautiful thing I had ever heard and that she should be a pop star or something. She kept insisting that she really wasn't that good and it made me SO upset. I still haven't let it go. 😆 This explains that experience perfectly. To this day I make a conscious effort to sing as much as I can to mimic that sensation.

I think it’s the nicest thing to walk into someone’s home and good, home-cooked smells meet your nose. It’s a feeling of welcome and security, comfort and nourishment for all the senses. I love to cook and bake for those very reasons. 😊

This is actually perfect for the holidays. There are certain sounds and music that we associate with a holiday or an occasion. I had a chance to play Xmas music at my in-laws and it just unlocked very fond memories when I played the songs I always heard at Xmas as a child. ❤

My Dad's girlfriend will do unnecessary talking. She used to get in trouble for it as a child. Now she will repeat stories 72 times and tell my Dad everything she did all day down to the piece of toast she ate. Yikes. I'm glad you brought up unnecessary phonetics. Unfortunately we can only work on discourse within our own household.

I think it also has a lot to do with the imprint of love we put into the food that we make, too.. a friend of mine told me there is a word in Korean that roughly translates to “touch-taste” - the effect of loving hands making a meal 💜

I felt This podcast was like a Christmas gift for me ! The way you became aware and analyzed it is so precious !! I was feeling all excited about every meaningful detail you described ! And I particularly appreciated and connected with everything you said because I'm super sensitive to ASMR and it's been a decade I'm watching few channels on YT 💜 The whispering or just lower voice is super calming and relaxing ! I wish my hairdresser whispers to me while doing shampoo and cut my hair 😁

Hey Mina.. thanks for your video. Would LOVE you to do a video on the topic of Alex Hormozi + Leila Hormozi and their marriage. They are a wealthy entrepreneur business couple. But it appears to be a case of a masculine man with a masculine woman. Would love to hear your interpretation and your thoughts as it goes against everything we know about polarity. With the masculine being attracted to the feminine…

I have the opposite experience. After I was 20 the sound of my mother was driving me crazy. We had an enmeshed relationship with no healthy boudaries. She demanded a lot of help, therapeutic support and closeness from me. So I was more at ease when she was not home and not making these annoying noises. Like going to the bathroom next to my room, brushing her teeth, coming into my room asking for help, then smoking again, then brushing her hair in the room right next to mine. Then bathroom again. It was too freakin much and too close to my thin door.. every day the entire day. I should have moved out at 20 and not 25.😮‍💨 It did some demage to our relationship. Im so easily annoyed with her. At some point I would leave the kitchen as soon as my mother would come in because I didnt like the sound of her chewing. I feel bad for my mom.😔 Because I know how it is on the other side of it. In a hostpital my room mate was extremly annoyed with my noises. It felt like a push away. I felt so bad and unwanted. But she was also a person with enmeshment boundary wounds....so maybe there is a link. I was always putting the heater on and she liked it cold...i was crying a lot and she felt like my energy would take over the room

Should I care about what job he has that allows him to provide for me? My fiancé has fully provided for me for the past 2 years, but from his savings bc he is working on his fin-tech start up business. He doesn't have a degree, but he's worked in finance, as well as nursing in the past.

Mina, do you believe interracial relationships can lead to a more difficult life? My fiancé is a black man and I am a white woman. This has caused a lot of conflict with my family as they say my future kids and I will suffer because of my choice. It's been really tough and I still haven't fully made a decision

First of all this is 2024, no one cares (except your family of course). 2nd, it's not that deep: culture runs deeper than race as race is more surface level. I can see there being a problem if you say you two are from completely different cultures ...then yea, be prepared for a difficult life. Tell your family you'll raise your future kids to be fine, so if that's their only concern then they can drop it.

When you mentioned the Asian mom video, I immediately thought of Twoset Violin 😂 They have a running joke about practicing 40 hours a day in order to not disappoint your parents Edit: I do believe it started as a joke but being 4 hours long they probably did have the intention for it to be used as a study aid, especially with the popularity of asmr videos
