We're starting a new series on the channel today! All About Your First Doll Custom! I really want to give back to the community and archive all the things I wish I had known when I started my doll customising journey! Starting can be scary, and not to mention expensive! So I wanted to create a series that talks through all the knitty gritty info parts of the process that I often forget to mention in my custom videos!
Today's video is an in-depth talk-through of all the essential supplies you would need to start your first Doll Custom. Whether you're an OOAK Art Doll person or a Custom Monster High Repaint Person, these supplies work across the doll hobbyist field!

I’m a miniaturist, among other things, so I mainly build structures, terrain, etc. but my current project is customizing a vintage dollhouse into a magical wizard’s dwelling - maybe one day I’ll make a wizard doll to go along with it!

I appreciate this..I don't hv much funds..and I truly rely on you guys..that means..I watch all your posts..and write everything down..I've now shrunk 2 heads..and they shrunk fast due to 3hr straight acetone. I actually am working with some big shrunk eyes..but I found a character so I played it off..but they're heads..crunched into fold..so it was a bit failure. I will not throw a doll. I hv too much compassion for the broken..so I'm still going with my girls of change..see I bought them cheap..so I got over blown swollen heads..and I shrunk on a given. I also hv a draculaura doll..that I glitter nail polish oppsed..the eyes. Do when I chipped off ..nail polish it took eyeline..well..being..human..I used permanent marker to fix..oh no..now I've carved the eyes out..hv green eyes..a misorder for my 60 in bjd dolls x10🧚‍♀️😜👍so I'm using eye's for draculaura..so now..I am looking at her..and..looking..I'm wondering..worrying that I'll mess.so..I'm trying 🙄🌈🌻🦋👍💖

Thank you so much for making this. I recently started buying G3 Monster High dolls and decided almost immediately I was going to customize most of them so I won’t have twenty of the same doll ❤❤

Thank you for sharing, I started my first doll a month ago, its a challenge. But the hardest part was the research trying to find out what I needed. And many many trial & errors. I like making hair from yarn.

Great comprehensive vid of doll customizers just starting out! I don't think I have a video about this topic at all. It would be cool to see different areas and how prices have fluctuated over the recent years with inflation for sure! Can't wait for the next video!💜

What a great idea! 😲 Now that I think about it, I don't think I go into a lot of detail about what supplies I'm using on my channel, either 😳☺️ I'm holding a doll customizing workshop at an art festival in Hurunui next week, so this video totally helped get back to basics and think about how explain things 🥰 What a great video - and i totally agree with you re gatekeeping: sharing in caring 🤗🥰

I think so too. In my opinion, the thing is, that when we're creating something for a longer 'while', some things are in routine mode for us, so we may simply forget to mention it [as it is obvious for us, but may be not that obvious for the watchers]. Good idea is to list all items used for certain creation at description box, so every person who's interested at buying the same [or similar] things, would know 'what was that' 😊

@@kreepykittycreations Good thing is that we can copy like a half of suplies from previous video's list hehe. In my case it's wood glue, cartonboard, acrylic paints. In your case it's acetone, MSC, pastels 😀
