The new Renault Arkana E-Tech full hybrid brings even more flair and sophistication to the award-winning SUV coupé, combining the original’s distinguished looks with Renault’s bold new ‘Nouvelle Vague’ visual identity.
Due to go on sale in summer 2023, the latest generation model debuts with the introduction of the top-of-the range Esprit Alpine version. This premium trim level joins Evolution and Techno trims in a new simplified line-up, with all versions benefitting from an enhanced standard specification.
The significant revisions strengthen the appeal of the Renault Arkana. Designed as a hybrid from the ground up, the distinctive model was first unveiled in Europe in October 2020 and perfectly illustrates the success of the ‘Renaulution’ strategy. Over 163,000 have been sold and it plays a pivotal role in the brand’s plan to reconquer the C-segment alongside the all new Megane E-Tech 100% electric and the all new Austral E-Tech full hybrid.
Combining striking looks with generous interior space, the new Renault Arkana E-Tech full hybrid is instantly recognisable from the Nouvel’R logo positioned in the centre of the smooth Deep Gloss Black band linking the headlights. Depending on the trim, the details of the logo’s diamonds are Black, Satin Chrome or Dark Chrome.
Other exterior enhancements include a new aerodynamic blade on the front bumper of the top two trim levels, finished in body colour on the Techno and Satin Grey on the Esprit Alpine, plus very slightly smoked crystal-like light lenses. The logo at the centre of the tailgate is Dark Chrome, matching the front logo as well as the lettering and tailpipes. Finally, the chrome on features such as the grille and window surrounds is now Black, Satin Black or Deep Glossy Black depending on the version.
Sporty and chic, the Esprit Alpine also features new 19-inch alloy wheels, Shale Grey and Deep Glossy Black badging on the wing and an aero-enhancing fin on the tailgate. Inside, the seats are a mixture of Eco TEP (made from 10 per cent bio-sourced materials) and imitation suede. The seats now come with blue horizontal overstitching and the Alpine logo on the back, while the seat belts feature two blue stripes.
The inside of the doors and the steering wheel have red, white and blue stitching and the cladding on the dashboard area facing the front passenger is slate-like for an elegant, low-key effect.
Standard equipment has been enhanced across the rest of the range, too. The Evolution now includes navigation as standard in the EASYLINK infotainment system, which also has Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay® compatibility. The 7-inch screen now displays information across a larger area.
As well as the aerodynamic blade matching the body, Techno has the same wheels as the previous R.S. Line and E-Tech Engineered versions. The logo and lettering at the rear are Satin Chrome.
The entire range can be ordered in a new Midnight Blue colour, with all versions powered by the smooth and powerful E-Tech full hybrid 145hp powertrain. It interlinks two electric motors (a 36 kW main motor and an 18 kW High-Voltage Starter Generator) with a four-cylinder 1.6-litre 69 kW (94hp) petrol engine, a smart multi-mode clutch-less gearbox and a 1.2 kWh battery.
The new Renault Arkana E-Tech full hybrid starts off in electric mode and can run on pure electric power for up to 80 per cent of the time in cities, which cuts consumption by up to 40 per cent compared to a standard petrol engine. The highly efficient drivetrain also results in CO2 emissions as low as 105g/km (found on the Evolution trim) and includes an innovative e-save feature that can keep the battery’s charge at a minimum of 40 per cent, providing the extra backup to keep on driving in electric mode if required, or to assist the engine on steep uphill slopes.
It is built on the acclaimed CMF-B modular platform, which has won praise for its efficiency, versatility, comfort and driving dynamics. In addition to the car’s reassuring roadholding, the rear wheels of the new Arkana full hybrid adjust to keep it steady when cornering at higher speeds. The precise and direct steering boost the chassis’ performance, and the short kerb-to-kerb turning diameter (11.2 metres) adds to its agility.
The New Renault Arkana will be available for ordering starting in summer 2023.

Renault seem to be on the ball recently. I didn't see much point in these hybrid systems as fuel economy didn't seem to be much more than in a normal car. But 60mpg in a SUV? We're going to order a new Motability car within the next week or so and I'd have loved an Arkana or Austral but the nearest Renault dealer is closer to the English border than it is to Anglesey.

I'm a Renault fan, and I'll allow myself to criticize only one thing, namely the rear lights. The car is extremely beautiful, with a modern design, well-equipped, technologically advanced, and it really catches the eye, I have nothing to say. I was expecting this facelift to upgrade to "full led" rear lights. But nothing !!! It's a paradox because cheaper cars like Clio, Captur have "full led" rear lights. Arkana that exceeds 30K, has filament bulbs... !!! I honestly don't understand their decision. But instead they put the money into the stitching on the seats and a new logo. Weak and poor this facelift. I like Arkana! Thanks for the video.

A lot of it has to be balanced against not changing too much to upset the winning formula but also the budget set aside for such changes usually equates to how many models and how profitable the model is. The Clio for example sells in much larger numbers and is built more locally for the european market.

My family got a brand new korean model here in Chile in 2021 and after 50.000k let me tell you that we wouldn't buy it again. The dashboard, windows, AC and suspension rattles and squeaks(unlike our 300.000k Suzuki Aerio/Liana), the radio reboots often... Yes it has a great engine (co produced with Mercedes and made in Korea), but the rest is still a French car.

Очень красивый автомобиль, а ещё мне нравится ИМЕННО РОССИЙСКАЯ версия АРКАНА,( которая производилась в России, на старой платфореме) а НЕ Европейская и НЕ Азиатская от Самсунг, потому что у Российской версии из торпеды НИЧЕГО МУЛЬТИМЕДИЙНОГО НЕ ТОРЧИТ ВЫБЕШИВАЮЩЕГО СВОЕЙ УГЛОВАТОСТЬЮ... Система изи линк, в Российской версии очень удобно расположена и не перекрывает вид - обзор, и на еë поверхность можно поставить смартфон с работающей навигацией ; убрать его когда он - НЕ НУЖЕН. это ОЧЕНЬ УДОБНО, в отличии от Европейской версии, в Российской - ЕСТЬ ПОЛНЫЙ ПРИВОД!!! Ручник у Российской Арканы - именно РУЧНОЙ, а не электронныф, и при аварийной ситуации РУЧНОЙ РУЧНИК - эффективнее, чем клавиша электронного тормоза.

Да и я надеюсь, что мне попалась русская версия, которая очень соответствует потребностям русского народа. Однако другие европейские и азиатские рынки не увидели бы преимуществ полного привода и не стали бы уделять больше внимания автомобильным технологиям. Разные потребности у разных людей. Спасибо за ваш комментарий.

@@smcmotorgroup Нет у вас - Европейская версия Аркана, она более новая Аркана, и тоже очень красивая внешне, внутри салон автомобиля тоже хороший, но у меня есть личные предпочтения, меня РАЗДРАЖАЮТ мультимедийные мониторы выступающие выше уровня поверхности панели торпедо , а ещё больше раздражает их торчащие углы

@@smcmotorgroup У меня Renault Аркана 2021 года выпуска, она была сделана в России компанией Renault-Nissan, на старой и надежной платформе "B0", у неë механический ручной - ручник, а монитор мультимедиа - не выходит выше уровня поверхности панели торпедо, только поэтому она мне очень нравится.

Hmm, there is no accounting for taste. On top of that you’re comparing it to completely different models 🤡 Personally I think this one of the most beautiful _Coupe SUV’s_ ever made. I actually never thought I would like any “Coupe SUV” after BMW invented that monstrosity.

Renault ARKANA, вернись в Россию, с нормальными бензиновыми двигателями объëмом 2.0литра и надëжными коробками автомат, а не вариатор, на полном приводе, с салоном без мерцающих в лицо дисплеев панели приборов, простой и надëжной как раньше....

Not sure how you've come to that logic. An entry level Qashqai e-power starts at £34,020 whereas a top of the range Arkana tops out at £2,000 less. Baring in mind though the Qashqai is more of a rival for the Austral and even share the same platform.
