Oooh you just melted my heart when I saw you laying next to Lyra on the grass and picking all the good stuff for her. I lost my Trottinette (means Scooter in Dutch) last year, she had only 1 upper toothie left and had problems eating grass while playing outside with my other piggies. So I also lay down beside her and pluck all the good stuff for her, so she could still enjoy the outdoors. Thanks again for this lovely video ;)

I know the loss you feel because I had Red, my lady guinea pig friend, die last year. She literally died in my lap. I don't know if others understand that these critters are loyal and faithful as any good dog, and it really hurts losing a friend. Bitter/sweet.

It's a big responsibility. They are or in your case may well be entirely dependent on you. The guinea pigs you should get are from a shelter. They need your help most. I rescued one about six months ago. She was so attention starved! They are smart and I don't think she got the attention she needs at a big animal shelter here in Denver Colorado. Now I can get her to roll on her back while laying on my chest. She just lays there like a turtle in the sun when she gets pet like that.

Thank you for everything you do. WE have a 2 year old and 9 year old. We got three guinea pigs for them for Christmas. Vincent, Felix and Stuart. Thanks lovely lady. You are a real joy! I'm proud to say I had a herd of twelve (12!)! We had to separate and now I have two girls that I am lucky enough to board, love, and feed health food. I can not even tell you how .much just plain goodness. They are my best friends. They never want to borrow money or the car. They don't push dope and they don't lie cheat, or steal. What's not to love?

I have no idea where the time has gone since the pandemonium, we lost a year somewhere 😉. I still think Roxi and Phoebe are babies 🤗. I have tried all the forage from haybox and the peppermint is my boys favourite 😋.

Love this vid & love you & your piggies as always!! I oddly feel like i kno them personally .... Which is great even tho its false lol... I love them all but im partial to Miss Lyra 😉! Definitely 💯 appreciate you & all of the time you put into do what you do! Idk what i would do, if you werent making these vids- honestly! I still have a sick piggy and its literally shredding my soul! I also have a little new family... April 29th we had 3 babies born as a result of being told they were the wrong sex, and not realizing it immediately! But with all these piggies and piggy things we definitely feel alone in trying to do the best we can sometimes - as our local vets actually do not know any present info... Only past things that arent even done now! They didnt even know about fleece, c&c cages, or benebac 🤦🏼♀️-so to have you do what you do, helps beyond anything you could imagine! I mean that with my whole heart and im sure all our piggies would wheek in agreement!💜

Just a thought if you would like to save a little money on good quality Timothy hay. Check with your local farmers. We were able to buy a full bail of it for $3.50 . Our neighbors raise horses and have a full field of high grade Timothy hay.

Hi I love watching your piggies video. as I'm new to being a piggie parent ,one of my piggies got out of the incloser for them to have a stretch and play and he jumped it but I was so worried it was going to go and get stuck anywhere was going to do an open living like you have .but worried to do for the best 🤔🥴they've got a pets at home cage maybe it's the wrong kind help would be appreciated 🙂

Bela was out for about 30 mins yesterday and all she did was go around in circles. My husky girl just flopped next to her thinking is she nuts? They get along thankfully. Tikaani thinks she is a puppy and wants too mother her but I have to be very careful as she sometimes thinks of picking up Bela and of cause guinea pigs aren't built like puppies. She still thinks Amaya is a big rat. Poor Wolf always takes off when the piggies are out.

One of my guniea pigs was lying down on a fluffy mat partly covered by it on my lap , she looked relaxed - her body suddenly twitched a few times , could it have been a fit or can it happen if nodding off , at least one eye was open I think , could see other eye as was lying on her side . She nearly one year old . Seems fine otherwise . Thanks

Hi Sarah, here is another question for you. So I’m going to get a pair of piggies in the summer, so when i do go back to school in the fall how can I change the daily routine to fit my school schedule. And it will also have to change when I start playing school sports in winter and spring. And if you know any rescues for guinea pigs in the US can you tell me bc I’m having trouble finding a good rescue and one that is not to far from where I am. Thank you so much!!! I just describe to your channel and well your story almost sounds like mine. I accidentally adopted two boys and well they were brothers. They were actually identical twin brothers both long hairs. I name them furball and fuzzball sadly, fuzzball only live the week and passed away afterwards. I got his filling brother. Well it was more of a cage friend from the pet store. His name was cuddles and well they didn't get along. Just say they picked on each other. After that they were my last boys next to my other two boys over the years. Squeaky and GP ( name after the guinea pig on once upon a hamster)

Hey Sarah, a lot of comments on the guinea pig forum suggest that a fish tank/plexiglass cage (anything with closed sides) is a big no-no, as the air circulation is poor, which can cause respiratory problems, to which the pigs are very susceptible. I made a similar DIY cage as yours, but now have I'm worried I have to make a make a new C&C one? What do you think about that and you do you take any extra measures to ensure the cage is well ventilated? Thanks in advance!

I wonder if you can add a bit of water to their food if they wont drink iut of either as a kind of way to trick them into also drinking water. I do this with my cats and dogs when theyre dehydrated. Please lmk bc i dont wanna accidentally hurt my future babies.

Aww I had a guinea pig and there was no KZfaq notta 4 tips etc and basically I did everything you're NOT supposed to bc the vet was our resource...BUT recently all u hear about is disasters like hurricanes, tornadoes, fires etc and I'm a HUGE animal person and I had 1 guinea pig and 1 dog now I have 3 dogs and a system of who grabs what dog so do u have an emergency plan in place if any type of Natural disaster should happen or what to do to make sure all the piggies are safe? ❤❤❤❤

Your videos for piggies are really amazing. I have three, a female plus she had a baby boy 3 weeks ago, which she came from the pet shop pregnant, plus a have a boy piggy. My question is if they are doing fine together now then when the baby is older do you think that the boys will fight?

Thank you I'm so glad you enjoy the videos! The boys will be split from the girls (asap if baby is already 3 weeks), and then hopefully baby male and adult male will be a nice bonded pair and you could think about adopting another female for the momma to live with 😊

Hi quick question I have a long haired piggy and I know it sounds awful but it gets all matter around her little botto.m with lumps of hair stu k together im at my wits end I really don't know what to do to help her.... everything I go near her she yelps as she knows I have try to cut it out but as you can imagine it's not that comfortable for her.... bless her Thankyou 😍

Hey Rachel, yes the best way is to cut the matts out, perhaps if someone can hold her for you it will be easier, or they may be able to do it at the vets along with nail clipping. Once you get it trimmed short around that area and keep up to it, it is much easier to handle and far more comfortable for piggie 😊

I have a question, my two Girls have been chasing eachother recently. Quite new behaviour which I'm only starting to see, they would usually chase and rumblestrut for a minute or two then stop. Hi Terri I don't have pet insurance, I haven't researched it that much here in the UK but I suspect older piggies like Lyra wouldn't be able to be insured!
