I can't even begin to express how much this audio means. I was often the only black girl in my class, and I have so many awful memories of non-black classmates being mean to me about my hair. Listening to this audio was like therapy. Thank you, thank you, thank you! ❤❤🥰🥰

I’m commenting this a lil late ahhh but I just wanted to thank you for taking up this concept and putting forth so much effort into it. It’s not easy making content for a culture you’re not familiar with, but the fact that you did thorough research and listened to us black viewers, asking our opinions; it truly means so much. As a black listener, you get accustomed to recognizing when content isn’t made for you, especially romantic content. Phrases like “..ran fingers through your hair”, “your cheeks flushed red”, “…put your hair into a messy bun” and SO MANY other phrases written into romance stories expose that the listener/reader isn’t actually meant to be ambiguous/black. And when there is content for us black listeners, it’s either made by a black creator, fetishized, or on the slim chance done really well (like this one!). I think there’s something special about someone taking the time to learn about another person’s culture, something special about romantic interracial relationships. Not even just hair, but religion, food, values, even day to day tasks. When you’re an in interracial relationship, there’s always so much to learn and teach (which can be both fun and exhausting haha), but it gives you a chance to compromise and grow closer as a couple. I really enjoy realistic audios like these in a community where most BF audios tend to be fictitious in the realm of “mafia”, “hot ceo” or “ya deer” haha. Not that those are bad concepts, but it’s just nice to see variety. Having content made for /specifically/ black listeners made by a non-black person, and it’s done well?! Rare and I love it, and I hope to see it more often. Seeing black hair as a feature of beauty rather than being ridiculed as it is constantly in the workplace and media, it’s such a refreshing change. Again, thanks so much for this one, definitely going in the “on repeat” tier haha And if you ever need more ideas you know who to call >:)

I saw a comment about other's bullying them for their hair (I can't find it). I feel for you. I was bullied as a kid for having rlly kinky hair that I ended up straightening and damaging it just to fit in. I was so mad for my younger self for letting their opinions get to me when I really love curls. Last year, I straightened it again, not for the same reason, but to try revive and fix my curls. Now I'm just growing it out and I've been bombarded with compliments of how pretty and unique my hair was, I've never been so confident on wearing my mane lol 😂. Don't listen to those bullies, they're just jealous we're unique and we stand out.

non-black listener but I got really really curly hair (have a really wide variety of curl pattern, ranges from 3b to 4a). Saved this to listen to while taking out my mini twists and IT. WAS. LOVELY. Darling company for this arm workout. The care taken by the boyfriend character and in the development of the script definitely shone through. I smiled and giggled so much throughout, he was adorable and oh so appreciated. (Margarine, sweetheart? Move to the produce section, you weren't far off. Eggs, mayonnaise, avocados... you'd be surprised how much actual food some of us use.) I loved going on about the different plants I use for my hair because yes indeed products are EXPENSIVE. The less I have to buy, the better. The sound effects - ESPECIALLY cutting the braids - were crisp! Super immersive. I saw the braids being cut (I literally said "spread the open end, none of my real hair is in there. You're good." The fear is real😅) Another note, I loved the emphasis on the cheek kisses. Often times, I'm not too keen on the kissing sounds in audios so that little detail just tipped it over the top for me. So much replay value here😊 The length of the audio caught me off guard in the BEST way. This is the SECOND boyfriend roleplay of this specified "Black Listener's natural hair" nature I have come across in years and it is VERY much appreciated. (The other is a wash day appreciation for anyone curious.)
