Round lid and square tub 😂 I love it

I am firmly on team tupperdore. I don't care anything about displaying my sticks except for the one I'm holding in my hand while I'm smoking it. Tupperdore + Boveda = Happy Cigars!

Only problem if using a cooler is no temperature control, which is why I am using an electric humidor with Boveda packs. Winter I really don’t hardly have to trim it on, the house stays right around 70. But in the summer the house it’s 74+, and that humidor gets too warm. It also organizes them a let lot better and circulate air. Also looks BA.

While I agree that your bags and Boveda are great, I have a NewAir 840 with 2 additional shelves and in the cold dry climates of Montana it has worked amazing. Side note, I had to go through 3, yes 3 different units to get one that worked properly and humidify at the correct temperature and humidity. Once that fiasco was accomplished it works like a champ. It is now fully loaded with the finest in Privada COTM, farm rolls and LCA’s available. I do use a smaller Igloo with a Cigar Oasis to store my overflow boxed cigars. You guys not only consistently pump out the best cigars, but you also pump out the best video content! Keep doing what your doing, your moving the cigar world to the better as you go!

ROFL !!! what a funny video, for a minute there I thought this was April Fools joke. Use what you want for storage (I used tupperware when I first started with climmax beads), keep them in the Privada packs with a Boveda or not, it's your choice. I personally love my humidor 50-60 box/300 ct custom made humidor, and has served me well for 20+ years and I'm sure it will for another 20+ years or more. Despite what Brian says about his packs, I always let mine acclimate, because I don't like my cigars at the percents that he ships them at. I prefer mine at 65%. Maybe if they were shipped that way, then I'd be more inclined to smoke them right away, until then, they get put to rest for at least a week.

I gotta disagree on one point. I prefer my humidity 65. I feel like fresh out of the bag they are a little over humidified for me. If I had a 65rh boveda pack maybe I wouldn’t have to “let them acclimate” first. 🤷🏼‍♂️ just my thoughts ladies and gentlemen. Just what I’m feeling at the time, y’know what I’m mean?

Fun video, good stuff! Over the summer as my collection was growing I was looking into new humidors to add to my wooden desktop and acrylic one. After watching a few of your videos mentioning the Boveda bags (of course the one where you opened the bag from South Africa too) and doing some research I ended up getting an igloo. I have been storing my long term sticks in the Boveda bags with 69% packs. I still keep my daily smokes in the acrylic jar mostly for convenience and aesthetic, but also put my soon to smoke into my wooden desktop. I like to get some of that cedar with my sticks before lighting them up, though after watching this I’ll be a little more selective about what goes in there. Cheers #weareprivada

After joining PCC about 3 years ago, I'd have to agree. I keep 2 humidors on the desk as an aesthetic...but open up the humidors, and it's all in the PCC bags with bovida packs. Never had a humidity problem after doing this. Just another thank you to PCC! Cheers 🍸

Good info...I've had my coolidors for a while. Have my 100 ct Tabletop humidor for a bit also and very proud to say got lucky. Some cigars have been there for quite a while and still in perfect condition. The bags do a tremendous job and lately I have been storing my subs straight into my humidors in bags. My collection is getting bigger and thinking of maybe the Newair but now maybe a yeti might be the way to go!!

I currently have a 16 litre locknlock box that I keep at a consistent 67% humidity. All my single sticks are at the bottom and my Privada smokes stay in the the bags they came in as I work my way through smoking them. As I get through the Privada bags I just add the humidipacks to the box. I have roughly 200 sticks at a time and this works really well for me

I can definitely attest to this. Don't know what it is, but I've noticed the cigars in my winedor getting over humidified, too. I've had overflow stored in some large privada bads and they're all perfect. Needless to say, I'll be switching up my long vs short term storage method. #weareprivada

Would you recommend putting Boveda packs in the big Privada bags or just put the cigars in the bags without any Boveda packs? If you think we should use Boveda packs in the bag how many should we use?

I use 60qt weather tight containers by IRIS with a single 320g 69% boveda. Works great. I also have a 300 count NewAir cooler that works well too but the maintenance is a little more with these b/c they will dry out your humidification quicker.

So if I’m smoking them and replacing them regularly then a wooden humidor is cool but for long term like you said at the end tuperdor and bovida for the non moisture adding effect to eliminate the mold aspect is the way to go? Just making sure i understood that correctly

I use the bags. Quite a few of em lol I store in my humidor for what's up to be smoked but bulk is all bagged, in the cooler, in Tupperware, or in Boveda bags. I actually don't let anything regulate in my humidor, it does so in a Privada bag. But I still won't smoke Privada stuff ROTT. There's been research done on this by Small Batch, Boveda, and a few others with and without Boveda packs and in very good bags that are about as good as Privada's with the wrap job they did with plastic and double bagging. There's a lot to consider other than the conditions where the cigars came from and how they're being shipped. Temp is a major factor. Just because a cigar reads at a good RH doesn't necessarily mean it's go time. It's almost never go off the truck from my 15+ years experience. It's also important to remember that Boveda isn't an instant solution, it takes time to draw in and release moisture. Take a nearly dry 62-65% pack and toss it in a bag with some saltwater sludge (like you're calibrating a hygrometer). That should make it 75% in the air. It'll take months for that Boveda to draw that moisture in cause it's not an instant thing, it takes time. It has to be slow to avoid pumping out too much humidity or sucking it in too fast any time there's a shift. One of the big mistakes people make is not waiting to allow Boveda to do it's thing. It's also important to remember that for Boveda to REALLY do it's thing at it's very best it needs to be in an airtight container with a fairly consistent temp, not riding in a truck or getting thrown around a warehouse. When those cigars are in transit for the 3-5+ days it takes they may be in warehouses and trucks that get up into the 100's or well below freezing and with or without Boveda, in a brown paper bag or Privada bag, it's gonna cause the cigar to lose or draw in moisture and lose the stable normal it had been at prior to shipping. It takes anywhere from 2-8 weeks for a cigar to get fully regulated from cap to foot and in ideal smoking condition. You can smoke ROTT rather it's sent in an envelope with no cello or in 5 Privada bags with 5 Bovedas inside and wrapped in plastic, rather you should or not is another story. No matter how perfect they bag or Boveda there's no way cigars are getting through the extreme Florida heat and humidity or frigid winters in some places in a prime state and waiting a bit is always best. I've tried it both ways and I've noticed such a difference between ROTT and giving it a while that I won't waste a cigar smoking it as soon as it lands anymore. I find Privada bags cut the time down significantly and what may take a month or more to be solid from some places is ready to smoke in a few days to a couple weeks, max, from Privada. But I still think it's best to let your cigars sit in the bag a bit before digging in. I know, everybody has to flex on IG and FB ASAP 😂 But you'll have a better experience imo #weareprivada #privadabagsarebetterthanyourcrappyhumidorfool

Great video bro. I do love me some Boveda bags. I have to say I have a better than budget Savoy Executive wooden desk top and with Boveda packs I hold 67°. I sometimes have to up the horse power in winter and I move all my sticks to bags once a year and use the 2 week Boveda seasoning packs. Other than that it’s good to go. I generally only have 100 cigars at a time. If I had a bigger inventory, I’d likely go with an Igloo + Boveda bags.

I have roughly 10-12 boxes of cigars in my cooler, I added 3 big 69% boveda and few smaller, same % (smallers for me comes handy if I take few with my self in my bag.) but my question, I store my cigars in their boxes and in cello. In cooler, what do you recommend to me, should I take them out from the box and cello. too or... thank you!

If I use a cooler in the summer will it help keep the internal temps inside the cooler lower? It stays around 77 to 79 degrees in the house in the summer. Maybe sit it right in front of our window ac.

So Brian, all due respect Brother, are you suggesting that I store my 1,000+ cigars out in the living room, In bags sealed with Boveda bags? Come on now. I have two humidors: a Belmont 600 and an Olde English Tower. Living in the desert here, I am maintaining my Belmont with 69 rh% Boveda packets and my Olde English Tower with a Cigar Oasis Magna 3.0. Both wooden humidors are rock steady at 65 rh% and are working great! If I stored my cigars in bags, they just wouldn't look good.

I got a question because i got jars and a wooden humidor plus the bags from my privada monthly sub... Why is it that when i leave them in the bag or the jars after a few weeks the flavors are just gone but in my wooden humidor as long as im on top of switching out my old boveda packs they stay fresh and good as hell. But even when im on top of the boveda packs in the jar or the bags its like they just lose all of the flavors. This something i have been dealing with for a while. Or when i get my monthly sub after i take a stick out to smoke that one is always good but after i make sure the bag is sealed properly come bck in a few days for another and that next stick tastes like pure air

I wonder if putting a sealant inside the humidor would work? Give you the nice look of the humidor but no actual moisture getting into the wood. I've just got a humidor for a Christmas gift and definitely want to use it.

The problem with most electric coolerdors is that pretty much EVERY brand under $1000 has the lifespan of an $89 college fridge--about 2-3 years. Why pay several hundred dollars for a pretty gadget that's going to crap out in 24 months? Get a big Igloo/Coleman cooler for long-term storage, and a well-made small desktop wood humidor for your weekly smokes, or for short-term display, like family events. This method has worked for me for 30+ years...

I use Igloo & tupperdores for CC some wooden humidors for “new world cigars” and for dry boxing. Have an empty coolidore was thinking of setting up for overflow BUT I think I’ll get some bags. Easier, cheaper, and who could argue with Doc Brown ?

How do you keep a tempurature of 70 degrees in the winter in the large cooler, when it is hard to keep a house at this temp? If you only have 30 cigars or so, will this large cooler work? Any other suggestions for winter storage? Boveda bag the best bet?

I have been using my humidor for over 15 years. Has always worked perfectly. Why should I not continue to do so? Sure, for LONG TIME is not so well suited, but not everyone wants to store his cigars 10 years. 1-2 year storage have never been a problem, but my cigars are not much older.

I have a 250 bottle wine fridge aka (wineador) I use. Not plugged in. I don't run the compressor. I've installed 4 4 inch fans to circulate the humidity, plugged the holes and use a BRICK of boveda. It looks dope with the class doors so I can display my cigars and I've never kept cigars better. Plus I can easily fit 4,000 cigars in it!

Totally agree with the cooler solution, but…. what do you do to keep your cooler temp at 70 degrees or less????? No prob if you have a basement that’s cool, but I live in Texas.

I have to say I think your environment plays the biggest factor in storage needs. I live in the high desert. Summer can get to about 120 & winter -10. HVAC only does so much but sucks all moisture out of the air. I'm constantly rotating my stash!

I saved a cigar and accidently put it in my travel humidor and my desktop humidor. The smell is aweful and its affecting my other cigars.. How can I save my humidors? please help

I picked up a Bodega 82L coolidor at a hell of a price about 2 months ago. It took me some time to calibrate my Govee and Inkbird hygros, but the thing is loaded with boxed Habanos and maintains a solid 68-70rh and 64-65f. I also have an old ass Newair cooli where I keep my new world sticks. That thing has dead spots in it no matter wtf I do. I've tried eyerything from water beads to Boveda packs to Humidicup. I just tossed a brand new box of Padron 2000's in there and I'm shiting a brick worried about my rh levels. I'm about to toss it out and just tupperdore everything that's in there😅

As long as your box doesn’t dry out. I prefer storing in cedar. 69% boveda at 65-68 temp. But I’ll keep full boxes in the plactic containers with 72-75 boveda.

Idk man I understand what u are saying especially with the wooden humidors but coolidors seem perfect for aging, u have a consistent temp and consistent humidity at all times and it’s all cedar that’s what all companies use to store/ferment there cigars but I haven’t done the full research on it that’s just what I would assume can u explain to me why a cooler would be more effective vs a coolidor

All have advantages. Use the one that works for you. I’ve been using a wooden humidor for 7 years with no mold, no drying, no over humidifying… NO problems.

Wineador is what’s up. It’s like the coolador only No heat or cooling. Looks great. I run fans. Used food grade caulking to seal up the back and gutted them. The best way to story cigars.. PERIOD!

Why not just a Pelican case? Im a trucker and use a 1650 protector case. Plenty of storage space keeps humidity constant and ive been using the same packs for well over a year and still seems as fresh as the day i bought them. [Granted some of the cigar shops i purchase from hands out free boveda packs so those may also prolong the life of the larger ones i got in there.]

I use a glass jar with a lid that has a air tight seal, put in a boveda pack and leave it in the food storage room that has a little lower temperature and is dark ...

I keep so many Bovedas in my coolidour #Audew 300ct and test them with my HumidiMeter. The foot test is always lower than the cap test. They are on point. I have never had to use a perfect drawer yet. Don’t even own one. Oh yeah most of my cigars are from #weareprivada….😉😉😉✌🏽👍🏽🔥

I concur with Brian 100% on this subject matter. My Coleman 120 qt cooler holds humidity and temperature here in New York just fine with several Boveda 60 gr packs. Anything else is for posers.

Yeah well all that is fine and dandy but I live where temperature in the summer is average 120 degrees and humid as hell it being a farming area so no way a igloo or anything like a bag is going to work they would be molding and full of bettles so yeah My New Air 250 is the best and only option
