I'm having flashbacks of the anime now and I'm not sure if I should be happy or just start crying again.

I'll be honest. I never cried. But my heart has been extremely heavy since then. Sometimes I feel like I wanna cry but can't. It's been more than 2 months and I still cannot forget this anime. It's a masterpiece. Man I feel weird.

Today is the first day of April. A spring without you... I hope all the bad things going on in 2020 will just end. I hope.

It’s gotten to the point that I barely remember what happens in the anime. Yet my body has an instinctual reaction whenever I hear the songs. I start crying, and am overwhelmed with a feeling of sadness. When you write something so well, that the soundtrack and the emotional trauma get stuck in your bones, you know you did a good job

the soundtrack of this anime gives me a feeling i don't get anywhere else, and i mean anywhere else. Like this song makes me feel something that nothing else in the whole world does. I don't start crying when i hear the song, I don't cry that easily. But i feel some kind of pressure somewhere in the middle of my chest, maybe around my heart you would say, and i feel like i start feeling a little bit out of breath, like i am suffocating a little bit and breathing gets harder and i feel happines and sadness at the same time, or maybe a single feeling that is a mixture of the both. It's so amazing :)

[ SPOILERS AHEAD ] 0:00 - 0:30 mostly the starting of the anime when kousei first meets kaori, and tsubaki along with watari. a soft introduction to the anime. 0:30 - 0:50 kaori and kousei gets to know each other as well as tsubaki and watari. ah, how wonderful life is. everyone getting ready for their own events in life. watari with his soccer, tsubaki with her baseball, kaori and kousei with their practices for the upcoming performances. kaori plays the violin on stage with kousei as her accompanist. kousei's struggle with trying to play the piano again. this is where many sweet and unforgettable memories are formed. characters like emi, nagi, takashi, mother, ms seto make their appearance and are deeply involved in their own story, and kousei's story. we get more story on kousei's past and the reason for why he can't "hear" the piano anymore. kaori helps him up from that cage of fear. 0:50 - 1:15 kaori falls sick all of a sudden. tsubaki and watari both fail to achieve their goals, but accepts their failures regardless. kousei goes alone on stage to perform alone as kaori is unable to attend. tension between kaori and her sickness arises. everyone but kaori is oblivious of her own condition. what will happen to kaori now? 1:15 - 1:36 kousei's struggle with trying to refine his skills again. kaori trying to struggle with surgery and sickness. kaori losing hope. kousei helps her up like when she did for him. there isnt much time left now. kousei and kaori make the last memories of what little time they have left. they say what may be their final goodbyes. tsubaki's feelings for kousei, will they bear fruit? 1:36- 1:57 the time is now. kousei goes on stage to perform while kaori is in surgery. tsubaki and the rest of watch as kousei coveys an amazing play for the piano. he realizes the gift he received not only from kaori, but from everyone around him. the warmth and happy moments they shared. irreplaceable memories. all of them priceless. 1:57- 2:18 kousei sees kaori appear on stage. his face turns bitter, his eyes closes to hold back the tears from flowing. he knows she's gone. but is she truly? she's here, even if its only in his mind. she kept her promise of performing with him one last time. they play their instruments beautifully on the stage. almost as if they're dancing. the music is dancing with them. they, are beautiful. as the beat grows heavier and the tempo faster, kousei sees kaori slowly vanishing. he tries everything to keep her from disappearing. tears form as he fights his own battle in his head, begging her through his music for her to stay. promising her to do whatever she wants, as long as she stays. but she vanishes in the end. tears in her eyes, and a smile on her face. kousei's play is over, sweat and tears all over his face. he knew she was gone. 2:18- end kousei receives the letter from kaori and is deeply remembered of how special she was. the memories, and her, will live on in kousei, and everyone around them. her love for him is confessed. but even with her gone, time will move on regardless. life goes on. but what matters is what she left behind. and what she left behind is beautiful. she has changed him, she has changed them, and she has changed me. has she changed you? thank you. one of the best anime/manga ive seen. and ive seen a lot. thank you. you reached me. you have a special place in my heart.

Saw this anime ages ago. I haven't heard this song, or your cover of it in a while. YT decided to hurt me with it again. It's like getting cut with glass all over again and enjoying the pain. The emotions are all still there. An absolutely beautiful and moving cover of one of the best anime instrumentals out there. If I could sub again and like this video again, I would.

There has yet to be an anime that messed me up as hard as Your Lie In April ;-;

This anime is now 9 years old. And until today a 10/10 masterpiece. I listen to the music until now. There are barely any other Anime which left me with these kind of feelings. I feel it so much until today as a grown up man. I cried so much during watching this for the first time.

I heard this song on Royale High about three years ago. Now that might make you somewhat annoyed by me saying that,but I'd never even watched this anime(I'd actually never watched a single anime ever at that time unless Glitter Force counts)but still everytime I would hear this song play I would always get emotional,It's an amazing and beautifully written piece that you just can't ever get tired of. I play piano now and will definitely go out my way one day just to learn this song. And I am definetly watching the anime,even though I heard it will make me cry ;>

I wish to understand why saddest animes catch us more than others. We can laugh for a comedy or be hyped up for a shonen. But.. if a anime is sad it wins everytime.

Another spring without you... -April 1st

I heard the starting notes and every muscle in my body reacted and every part of my brain reacted. I got into anime the better part of a year ago and this was one of the first few that I watched. This holds the most special place in my heart because of the music and the meaning. I have only been as heartbroken as that show made me once in my life. But I crave the feeling of hope it gives me and the feeling of pure inspiration. This was beauty at its finest sir. Bless you.

I’m not going to lie. When I watched this anime a few years ago I didn’t cry. I was super sad (don’t get me wrong) but it didn’t connect to me personally on an emotional level. after going to high school, the pressure, and sometimes depression made me stop playing piano, one time, I was just rewatching this old anime, and I came over to this anime. I remember I once watched this but I don't exactly remember what is it, so I decided to watch it again and it really motivated me. The anime reminds me of how happy I was when I played the piano.

Before I looked at the comments while listening to this beautiful piano cover, I never thought that I’d start crying my eyes out after watching the anime. But the comments I’ve read made me cry for a whole 20 minutes. I won’t ever forget this anime, it really meant a lot to me, it encouraged me to never give up on my violin and trombone, mostly violin though, and it was just a very inspirational anime overall. To whoever is reading this, even if life isn’t going the way you want it to be, don’t give up on your dreams, because life will go on, and it will get better, and it will be like a happy piano!
