What seems to help me is fasting. I do that on two days a week, eating only bread or whole grains, such as right now i am munching millet. I started this due to religious reasons or faith. Perhaps one trap in nowadays society is the wish for more. But when making the basic stuff a routine, that can help to ground a person. I already get a lot of me-time. Way more than i feel comfortable with. Has anyone any tips how to „exit the seclusion zone“ in which i seem to find myself? I seem so non-compatible with most of the norms of the society. So much that it hurts sometimes. Edit: I got a bit better recently. Thanks for the likes. Never give up.

I believe ISTP have different types. Those who engage in physical activities and somehow extroverted (Developed Fe), those who's master craftsman.. these types are the stereotype. Some are into hobbies that requires less human interaction and lastly, those who isolate themselves from humanity just doing their own thing.. although they have the capability to socialize they choose not to be involved with anyone.
@SenorTickleToast
@SenorTickleToast Жыл бұрын
@@Psych2go It depends greatly on the level of engagement the ISTP has. Those who happen to interact more with people will thus have more developed Fe, which makes them more aware and considerate of how the other person reacts. This doesn't mean we necessarily care all the time about it, but it's in the back of our mind.

Dear Psych2Go Narrator, What is your MBTI personality type? I am a INFP, so writing things down that I like about myself can sometimes prove to be quite difficult. Oftentimes, I see myself as worthless. Not to the point of being suicidal, but sometimes I feel like I have nothing to contribute, so I can't imagine where/who I want to be in the future. Things that make me feel thankful to be alive include enjoy my favorite/trying new foods, and listening to music and podasts/video essays. I also call my mom everyday to talk about my day and how I'm feeling. It truely helps to know that I have someone to share my thoughts/ideas with. Thank you mom. And thank you Psych2Go Best, INFP "The Mediator"

I'd also be very vague about why I wasn't around, and just generally stopped talking as much as I used to. When the time came to trying to explain myself, they didn't think it was good enough, and so I saw myself out. They were a good lot, hope they're doing okay.

They lectured me a lot about “Being too proud” “Talking too much” “Arguing” and “Can’t take criticism”. The tip mentioned in the video is the one I use starting a few months ago, I have less talk backs with my parents and I try to shut up when my opinion isn’t welcomed. Which is very irritating the first few days but I’ve learned to just forget about my opinions that bring more harm than good.

As an old ENTP I can tell you that we have to battle our inner voice every single day. For us, that inner voice usually comes when we’re listening to someone and we disagree or simply want to put the person or the idea to the test (which is most of the time because, well, we love contrasting opinions). Not long ago I started asking myself: is the situation going to improve if I say what’s in my mind? If the answer is no, I remain quiet and just listen. It took me years to learn that and, same as you now, I got in a lot of trouble for questioning everything all the time. With time you’ll find people with whom you can be yourself 100% because they’re either ENTP as well (warning: debates get intense, but fun nonetheless) or they just love you the way you are. At least this is my experience. Wish you the best!

I'm INTP and because of my perfectionist personality, I end up doing it at the last moment and get decent results after. It doesn't sound good or bad, but there is no improvement. I'm tired of being like this. Also, gratitude is really important in my life because once, my classmate shared with me how to study well(even though I'm a huge procrastinator) but after that, she said she envies me for having great grades this quarter(not rudely or disrespectfully). That made me realize I did enough last semester. I was silent for seconds after she said that. She's great at dancing so I encourage her to pursue it but was doubting her ability in academics and I said you can improve.

Really like the first (acoustic guitar) and the last (piano) songs, who wrote them? Feeling much positivity in this video, it's like a hug. Sure the things are much more complicated - don't believe in a such discrete division between personalities, but think just like you indicated before that we all have components from various types- but what I perceived is simply "hey, nobody's PERFECT (or ideal, sounds better), all of us got flaws or troubles, may you can make a little work for your wellbeing. If you won't, well, it is fine...but think about it ok?"

I recognized myself in both the ENFJ and the INFJ sides. Still though I don't know what self-care means. Could reading philosophical books count into this? Otherwise, my problem actually is when my plans don't go straight ahead. But recently I've found my way around it and don't get frustrated as easily as I used to. Meeting my childhood celebrity hero helped as well.

Yeah read/listen it’ll help, recommend stoicism first, books on Shinto and then the tried and true Carl Jung later on

I’m also an INFJ, and often forget to schedule in self-care. Self-care can be anything that helps you relax or wind down. If you want to read philosophy books just because you like them, that could be a form of self-care

Im not an ISTP, but I found that tip to be very helpful. I often feel like I spend my time poorly and don't do what I really want to do because I'm too busy or burnt out. I think planning a bit of time for it as I would with my school assignments would help a lot. :)

I am an ISFP and am already way ahead of you. Whenever I get too stressed, I usually grab a pen, paper, and do what I call a “Mind dump” where I put everything that’s stressing me down on paper. It helps me get some distance and perspective on the problem, and really helps me feel better faster. It doesn’t make the problem go away, but it does help me process it.

As an INTJ I always try to break down emotions by using logic. It kind of works, especially with different cases. Anger as example, anger is depending on the person, the situation, their actions and all that. It's easy to break it down and it makes me understand why they feel that way, despite that I cannot 100% comprehend their situation because I am not them

wow advocate absolutely hit home thats crazy. Its like.. After a huge event lets say, I guess recently it was this huge school dance, after that I thought for a second im like "hm welp that was fun.. OH WAIT MY NEW GAMES COMING OUT That i been waiting a year for!" ...couple days later that comes out.. Literally play it for three hours and apprieciate it for less.. and then im immediately like "OH Halloweens in a couple weeks" and it just goes on and on especially if its something That exhausts me like, As a parttime worker I work both days of the weekend all day, so Im always looking forward to monday instead of friday even though I have school because it is better than work.. and it just goes on and on its crazy, Im gonna try to schedule some time in for myself a week, I love baths but I just don't have the time for them. Now, I don't have an excuse! Thanks Psyche2go I been watching your channel for years now!

oh fantastic another thing that could be the reason i self isolate (infp here) i like to think it's actually adhd making me forget (bc that actually happens a lot) and anxiety making me worry about how the person will respond once i realize i've been ghosting them for a month (usually happens to my sister tho so i don't feel anxious about her responses) i'd rather it be those than my personality bc with personality it's actually me being a pos 😭

I don't know why we met... but yeah Thank God we met. I am happy that I was able to keep them jovial, lively and smiling at the darkest hour. Though it was short lived yet I have no regrets. I was there when they were totally lonely but they moved away when I needed them the most. 'I needed someone to talk to." was their last words. At least someone smiles at me when I look at them - mirror. This keeps me full of life again.

I’m pretty sure I’m an Ambivert, so both ENFP and INFP fit me well. I do have Rose glasses to a lot and I admit I’m pretty naïve. However, if I use too much of my energy, I tend to isolate for days or maybe a week or two or three. Though I have been going out still so that part is no problem. I should consider the pros and cons though instead of impulsively just diving right in.
