It is stated in the audio “they opened up to me about their ex” confirming what was already obvious, trauma. Being broken up with because you’re “too clingy” translates to: “You’re too much” “you should change in order to be loved” “you don’t deserve love because of who you are”. That is a SUPER traumatic experience. Was the Listener being pushy? Yes, they were. Should they have left the Speaker alone? Yes, they should have. Was the Speaker rightfully angry? Yes, he was.
