Doddanekkundi lake is the place to be on October mornings if you are a birder living around Marathahalli. Flycathcers, warblers, orioles and drongos are regular visitors to some patches in the lake. Thankfully, these patches remain intact for now and probably have potential to get better unlike the habitat for water birds which sadly remain quite erratic despite efforts by authorities.
