“It was just a typical Saturday morning; I didn’t know that it would change my life forever. So the rock came down on top of me, and it crushed my foot. I looked at my leg and I like immediately started screaming. And when I was sitting there I was just hoping not to die.”
Mists of darkness all around me.
Been so long since I have seen the sun.
Filthy waters try to drown me.
I’ll never make it on my own.
“Immediately we started to pray. I was praying just to stay alive and for help.”
So my knees hit the floor, only half of a whole
‘cause I need something bigger than me.
And the tears that I cry rising up to the sky
bring the hope and relief that I need.
When I hear Your voice, it’s like You come and part the waters,
lead me through the darkness.
When I hear Your voice, everything is so much clearer,
made it through the winter.

“There was some hard night, nights I wouldn’t sleep at all, I would just lay there groaning or crying. I remember my amputation surgery, opening my eyes, sitting up, and looking down at my foot. I said to my dad, ‘that’s smaller than I thought.’”
Flowing down like revelation,
bringing peace into my soul.

show a love I’ve never known.

“When the amputation happened, I was surrounded by this dark mist, but even at our darkest moments, when we feel alone, we can always turn towards God. And if we stay close to Him, He will help us and He will be there to guide us and strengthen us. It always gets better.”
