The worse I had is when I had to work on a Windows 95 computer in High School. This was about 2002. The computer was in use and when I opened it, there was an inch thick of dust and something yellow. The yellow was from the smoking around the computer. I was told to fix it.

I remember having the "unbreakable Nextel phone" and walking up to said company saying I broke it. Mind you this happened 6 times in less than 3 months. It is amazing what tank tracks do to a phone.

I am unashamedly in love with Kinsey lol. Also my embarasssing story, I got a psp release day. that night I was charging it, and dropped a soda and spilled it all over my brand new psp. I took it apart to clean it. got ait all shiny and not sticky. tested it before putting it back together. and as I put it back together I head a sickening crack.... I had overtightened a screw and cracked the screen.

I thought IP64 rating meant that you can have 64 people pee on it before it breaks. Also when I was younger, I thought my N64 broke. I went a week without playing anything until I noticed the power brick had come loose from the back...I still have that N64 and play it to this day 🤣

Ok to be fair the laptop thing happened in like 2003 it was his personal laptop that was like 6yrs old and there was a computer litterally 1/2 a block away but their were stores every 3 blocks or so in Midtown Manhattan. I specifically told him it was a tube of Compact Hard Drive Oil and it shouldn't cost more than $5 anything else and they were trying to rob him. They just kept sending him to other stores and he kept going.

I accidentally deleted years of school work because I reformatted the wrong drive. The worst part was I told myself that it was ok to not back up that data as I wasn't going to touch that drive......

I've had 2 tech fails I can think of, first was one of my phones I had it in my mind that I could replace the battery on one of my phones (I've forgotten which one I did this to), but as I'm going to take out the glued in battery, I somehow twisted the phone and broke the screen. Managed to get my money back for the battery I bought for it though. Second was my favorite phone, the Motorola One Hyper, fell off the armrest of my recliner in my basement. It fell like 2 feet but the case it was in failed to protect it from its fall onto the concrete floor and shattered the screen. The reason that was my favorite phone was it was my last phone where the screen was free of notches and hole punches, instead it had a hidden sliding front facing camera.

When I was in the Navy they'd do something similar. It could be having someone stand a mail buoy watch, or a hundred feet of flight line, or as a photographer we'd told them theit photos were fuzzy because someone forgot to add the focusing fluid to the development chemicals.

Ok few year back there was a "computer repairman" here in my town , a guy a know went to him with his computer , all good few days later got a call that his computer was fixed and ready for pickup ... computer worked fine, however about a week or two later the computer started smelling pretty bad so the owner decided to open the computer to find out what smell it was, turns out the "repairman" left 3/4 of a sandwich inside the computer in the drive bay ;D

i remember last year around this time i got covid, so i decided to take my pc and monitor upstairs to my room so didnt infect the rest of the family downstairs, all was fine until i tried to adjust my monitor and it fell, i cried a little as i lifted it and seen the screen was destroyed

I had Xperia Z3 Compact and battery lasted on that 3 weeks on standby and i charged it once a week in regular use like phone calls and taking photos and used it as GPS tracker.

I worked at a mechanic shop my uncle owned on my summers in university I swept cleaned and power washed construction building equipment I stack diodes for a living u know u know I watched this like old guy he was like 79 put a bucket down then unplug like wiring for the machine and he would do it every day so after a month I asked him why he puts down a bucket before unplugging the machine wiring ........he said and till I die I will not forget this " I'm catching all them their electrons that be falling" it was at this point I was totally ok being 250k in debt to my higher education facility

9:25 I can name two: the Planet Computers Astro Slide 5G, and the F(x)tec Pro 1x. Both are of the slide-to-the-side variety, run modern android, and are basically impossible to buy anywhere outside of Ebay for whatever reason. The Astro Slide is usually around $1,000 and you can find them every other week or so, and the F(x)tec is more in the $850 range, but is rarer. I know this so well because I have desperately wanted either since I found out they were a thing, but the price remains out of my reach, so I just keep seeing listings come and go.

The worst I had was when I put my Xbox in a black plastic bin bag since I was moving from 1 parent to the other as I didn't like the remoteness of where I was, and to be honest never got on well with my stepdad back then. Next thing I know... My stepdad takes the bins out as the binmen are there. After a long car journey, I suddenly realise... Oh, there's no Xbox. I think I was 12 at the time or close to that. Fast forward 2 years, and I am a script kiddie that makes a bunch of mods for games. 12 years later now, I am thankful I had to change to PC so early.

Most phones before smart phones had no problem with a 3 day Battery life. Or a week. Or two. If his number was on speed dial a call is very plausible. My mother hat me on speed dial on every button, so no matter what she pressed, I got the call (she could not remember the numbers)

Worse thing i did not really embarrassing but i was teaching my my mate how to install Windows XP when it come out and when the agreement page come up he ask do i have to read it and I said yes thinking it be funny he read it when we all know no one reads it at all. But after 10 min of him trying to read it I said NO you dont have to read it he yells at me and says you remember im dyslexic and I said oh thats right but still funny as f+++ LOL I get tormented to this day about it ...
