The AE86 Trueno is the signature protagonist vehicle of the anime Initial D, one of the most popular racing anime of all time. Initial D was the anime that also brought Eurobeat into the spotlight, since it used a lot of Eurobeat songs for its races, to the point that Eurobeat is considered the signature music style of the anime. Carbonated Love is meant to be a homage to Initial D, hence all the references to it in the MV.

Kanauru’s lil insert character is DerpRyS, so this vid is likely one he/she he relished making. He also made Kiara’s “Do U”, “Chimera”, and “Fire and Ice” (feat Calli) vids as well as Bae and Gooba’s “Sweet Appetite” vid and that’s just a start of his contributions to HoloEN.

Not just Gundam Wing with "Just Communication," but also Detective Conan with "Truth: A Great Detective of Love," the latter being even more representative of their parapara roots. Definitely a subgenre of eurobeat, though, you are correct! And one of my favorites. I love the energy of parapara dance music!

What are you talking about? I was very eager to learn more about other types of music, I wouldn’t react to it if I wasn’t interested. Trust me, there’s plenty more popular vtuber things I could react to, and if I REALLY only cared about more subs and likes, I wouldn’t choose indie artists and vtubers to react to.

Bruh you clearly didn't watch this video. He is at least able to name all the people, inner jokes and references that showed up in the MV. Unless he somehow cheated, it's enough proof that he actually cares about vtuber contents. I don't get why a rapper can't enjoy eurobeats. I mean, I don't even make music, what does that make me lol

@@kats1646 Well excuse me for not believing that they would play into it only because of the audience. My whole view is that they know it's popular and played into it. Now it's gotten out of control and they no longer have any ability to reign it in. The company might have also put some amount of pressure on them to play into it. I also genuinely don't understand the appeal of that one.

It absolutely seems like an in-joke perpetuated by Bae and IRyS of their own volition, simply because they think it's funny, and they wanted to share it with their respective audiences, and delight in their audiences' reactions to it. There is absolutely zero indication that either of them is made uncomfortable by it -- if anything, I think Takamori was/is a far more destructive shipping, as there was every indication (from day one, even) that it made Calli uncomfortable. I just don't see that from either Bae or IRyS, though -- they definitely enjoy playing into it.

This song was an exception, because I do tend to listen to Holomem songs whenever they drop, just to see if they catch my attention. They usually don't, but this one did, because I happen to love parapara dance music, and this is actually a really good throwback to that style! I like BaeRyS, but I don't take it seriously. I like it as a joke, basically. And really, I think most fans feel the same. I don't think anyone ACTUALLY believes they are now or ever were a thing -- but if you watch streams of theirs where they played it up, like the whole "Wife Dubs" thing, it can be pretty hilarious, and they're both clearly having an absolutely grand time with it. For me, I've never understood why people like Takamori. Calli and Kiara are clearly not at all compatible with one another, and from the very start, it always felt entirely one-sided to me -- Kiara attracted to Calli (be it real or "stage" attraction), but Calli absolutely NOT attracted to Kiara in any way. And Calli's obvious discomfort always made it feel... dysfunctional to me? I can only imagine how much she hated it when people would unilaterally pair her with Kiara, and Kiara would be all like, "Yeah, yeah!", despite Calli having zero interest in such an arrangement. Unlike Bae and IRyS, who both actively perpetuated their ship, Calli NEVER perpetuated Takamori. Kiara certainly did, but Calli was always firmly against it from the start, and I always felt it was... a bit unhealthy for her fans to just attribute that to Calli being "tsundere." Saying "Oh, she actually likes it, she just won't admit it" is basically gaslighting.
