Truly jealous you got to experience it for the first time. If there was any show I could wipe from my memory to go back and watch again like it's brandnew, it'd be either The Sopranos, The Wire, or the first season of True Detective (the latter wto you should watch if you haven't!)

Honestly Jamie's suggestion about rewriting the series ending to be Meadows wedding would've been a great send-off for the show, and it would also be a reference to The Godfather, The Sopranos ending how The Godfather begun. Could've still built tension and cut to black there instead, if only it went for one more season.

The Sopranos was as great as everyone says it was. To me there's no better tv in history. HBO was up to the challenge and of course, for the first time, no restrictions limiting what the producers could do. David Chase at the helm was a huge factor and along with the writing and casting, he produced what will go on decade after decade as being the most beloved tv show in history. The fact Jamie and Robert are pals and they had first hand knowledge, has made all their podcasts, and interviews entertaining.

I've been rewatching Sopranos for past couple of weeks and just happened upon this videocast. Subscribed instantly. Robert (Rob?) and Jamie are SUCH GOOD actors. I usually write off "the kids" in most shows because they aren't usually good actors (understandable) and are often just catalysts for adult reaction to situation. I believed these two from DAY ONE. You guys were fantastic on the show.

What could be more important than the 25th Sopranos anniversary for these two?! I imagine their absence saddened and potentially brought up feelings of resentment for the remaining cast members, even though they'd never express it to them.
@NVH-hi7wp
@NVH-hi7wp 7 ай бұрын
That’s what I was thinking…I mean I hope they’re safe and their families are too, but some of the people around for the 25th anniversary probably won’t be there for the 30th. As much as they gush (rightfully so) about how much the show did for them and meant to them I’d hate to know they skipped this for a fucking podcast.
@60wwediva
@60wwediva 6 ай бұрын
@NVH-hi7wp tbh that tells me they didn't get along with some of the cast or there is some secret beef or resentment there they both don't want to speak on. The fact they both didn't show up for the reunion speaks volumes and I'm sure they were invited. It they weren't invited or notified then that says a lot.

It's some drama. Jamie didn't elaborate on why she and Rob couldn't be there so it feels sketchy asf. She could've casually followed that up with "were busy with xyz, family, a project, we're obligated to be here by contract so couldnt make it" they're hiding something and just being nice in general to keep it clean. I noticed Jamie lit up when the guys who played Jackie came on the phone.

I always watch the sopranos and the wire daily, Jamie and Robert still look literally identical to how they look at the end of Made in America!

Ever since I recieved my box set of The Sopranos, it's what I watch all the time before I go to sleep. Like All In The Family, Columbo and MASH, Sopranos has it all for any actor or writer who wants to get into the T.V. business. My favoriate character is Johnny Sack. I like one-dementional characters, black and white, simple to understand why he does what he does,

Best show ever. RiP Richie Aprile. Tony didn't deserve that jacket you took off Rocco Dimeo.

You realize these two are now older than Gandolfini and Falco were in season 1? That's unbelievable quite frankly.

OMG at 3:15 I Have the same feeling. The way he uses his fork. All the spreads I try recreate the meals from pausing on different parts. I rekon I would be 5kg lighter if I didn't watch Sopranos after dinner!

The Sopranos "is" the best show ever, I've watched it at least 10x's from start to finish. I have a question for Robert, why haven't you watched the show? Jamie ending the series with your wedding would have been phenomenal !!

Based on the song choices, the death of Christopher Moltisanti had Pink Floyd's "Comfortably Numb" from the album The Wall, in which the character in the song is numbed up by drugs and describes the experience. As Christopher confesses to Tony that he would not pass a drug test, plus before the crash, the lyrics they reflect Tony's views of Christopher as a junkie.
