Honestly Jamie's suggestion about rewriting the series ending to be Meadows wedding would've been a great send-off for the show, and it would also be a reference to The Godfather, The Sopranos ending how The Godfather begun. Could've still built tension and cut to black there instead, if only it went for one more season.

The Sopranos was as great as everyone says it was. To me there's no better tv in history. HBO was up to the challenge and of course, for the first time, no restrictions limiting what the producers could do. David Chase at the helm was a huge factor and along with the writing and casting, he produced what will go on decade after decade as being the most beloved tv show in history. The fact Jamie and Robert are pals and they had first hand knowledge, has made all their podcasts, and interviews entertaining.

I've been rewatching Sopranos for past couple of weeks and just happened upon this videocast. Subscribed instantly. Robert (Rob?) and Jamie are SUCH GOOD actors. What could be more important than the 25th Sopranos anniversary for these two?! I imagine their absence saddened and potentially brought up feelings of resentment for the remaining cast members, even though they'd never express it to them.
@NVH-hi7wp7 ай бұрын
That’s what I was thinking…I mean I hope they’re safe and their families are too, but some of the people around for the 25th anniversary probably won’t be there for the 30th. As much as they gush (rightfully so) about how much the show did for them and meant to them I’d hate to know they skipped this for a fucking podcast.
@60wwediva6 ай бұрын
@NVH-hi7wp tbh that tells me they didn't get along with some of the cast or there is some secret beef or resentment there they both don't want to speak on. The fact they both didn't show up for the reunion speaks volumes and I'm sure they were invited. It they weren't invited or notified then that says a lot.
