Quickly approaching 64 and firmly embedded into my second childhood, I find myself deeply envying Atlanta & Denzel for having such truly awesome parents. I hope some day they realize just how blessed they are to have their parents and each other. Sometimes, you remember what you once had and the bitter-sweet tears begin to flow and the next thing you know, you're sleeping every night with a washcloth on your pillow...

Do you know how beneficial it is to take your young children traveling? It will help form their world view. I was very fortunate myself to have a stepfather who was a serious road dog. He took us across America several times and to Europe more than once. I am forever grateful and truly blessed to have this life. I guarantee that these travels will be some of your children’s fondest memories. 😁👍🇺🇸

I'm glad you guys enjoyed Miami. The fact is, most Floridians don't live in Miami, and most of Florida is not like Miami. I'm a rare breed, a native Floridian. I have been down there, and killed a lot of brain cells while I was there, can you say Hotel Mutiny? Mainly I've lived in Jacksonville Beach, Tampa area, and Panama City area.

Whenever I watch your videos, the feeling I get about your family can be summed up in Denzie's word for the Reticulated Python - EPIC! You are a model family for others to emulate. Just love how much you all genuinely get along so well and clearly love one another. I also love how appreciative you are of the United States and how enthused you are about all that you've seen and experienced here. You would make awesome US citizens, but, then, we'd have less reason to want to go to New Zealand, if you were no longer there.

Miami has some hidden gems that you missed. Little Havana the absolute center of Cuban culture in Florida, Wynnwood where the massive art project known as the Wynnwood walls is, little Haiti, Calle Ocho home to legendary restaurant Versailles, maybe south beach if you like that sort thing, Brickell has really come up in the last few years, the freedom tower built by freed Cubans, the skyscrapers going up near the financial district, the new shopping center near the Miami heat arena, and the little neighborhoods that are so different dotted around the city. Just off downtown Miami there’s a hidden island that once was a mafia hideout run by local legend John “swamp king” Ashley or sometimes known as one eye or glass eye Ashley as he lost an eye during a gun fight with the sheriff and had it replaced with a glass copy. John Ashley died in 1924 during the height of prohibition but his legendary feats are still told today. The park in Miami has buildings from the 1800s although not exactly preserved but they exist. Miami takes its past and present quite seriously as its people constantly talk about when are roads getting fixed, when is Flagler reopening, and what to do about flooding each rainstorm.

They missed out on a lot. From Wisconsin but been all around Florida multiple times. Wish they would've toured the beautiful old historic mansions and homes from the super wealthy people who made Miami, Key Biscayne, Ft. Lauderdale, Coral Gables, Palm Beach, etc for what it is...lots of railroad tycoons from the Northeast built railroad tracks and cleared out swampland to make it into cities and also their own personal warm weather vacation mansions. Vizcaya mansion and its breathtaking, extensive fairytale gardens with and have either limited docent group tours during select times or the pereonal/individual the headset with programmed info to listen to for each room or area as you are right on Key Biscayne with the house and some ofmthr gardens opening right out to it; Bonnet House and gardens and Miami Botanical Gardens where you take tours...the former was a docent guided group tour and trolley ride around the grounds and literally 5-10 minutes is the latter where you can explore the Miami Botanical Gardens at your own pace and also take a team around the large grounds listening to a guided ride...the one tropical pavilion had some of Chihuly's famous glass sculptures. And instead of the bus tour, you should've gone to the SoBe city guest information center right in the middle of South Beach and they have free (a small tip is recommended at the end) guided walking tour with volunteer guides who are fun and very knowledgeable about all the history of the island, the hotels and their architecture combined with the Art Deco era which is so heavily featured in the architecture; plus since it's from the city, the guides are able to take you in to some of the hotels and show specific details of Art Deco. Then you go to the downtown Miami harbor and get on a boat that will take you around Star Islands and other islands where the guide points out and names all the mansions of the famous people and how much some cost as well as and little interesting trivia, the cruise shios and all the industrial shipping that goes on, pointing out the super yachts and the hundreds of millions they cost, how many hundreds of thousands a day it costs to just dock in certain berths and the fuel, staff, upkeep of these super yachts is bananas; it's a nice 90 minutes to spend in the sun out on the water. Saw you did Sawgrass. My dad and I got lucky as it was more overcast and the guides said they hadn't seen any gators for a few days. No less than 10 minutes and we had two about 3' and 6' right next to our boat...our guide let them get REALLY close. Then as we went along, we saw 4-6 more gators throughout the path. Glad you were able to see at least one as some people go and don't see any. Wynwood is a cool art district where you can walk around and see all sorts of street art. I'd avoid Little Havana. In Palm Beach you have the historic Henry Flagler mansion which you get a guided tour of. Also check out Henry's famous and extremely expensive hotel then and now called The Breakers. You can also tour the historic Biltmore Hotel (also extremely expensive) and have lunch where I had the best and most authentic mojiito of my life. Forgetting the names of two smaller historical houses that we also toured.

@@lamarlee6127 I’m not talking bayside I’m talking about brickell city center the newest part of Miami’s downtown. It’s mostly upscale shops for like four floors but goes into high rise apartments after that. It’s a huge complex. Just built about two or three years ago yet it’s still not filled with stores or people yet. I know bad bunny runs a neo-Spanish restaurant in the complex. Also the trendy Sexy Fish restaurant and Blue restaurant are very close to brickell city center. It’s kinda where that lone Burger King is located but just down the street.

@@UNITED-STATES-OF-MURICA140 well, not to be that party pooper, but if you live here, it will get kind of boring since you have to do normal stuff that you would do on a daily basis. HOWEVER, on a nice weekend, you can visit the beaches and do some fun stuff here. there is a huge plethora of nature activities to do here like hiking, ocean stuff, etc. and it is quite beautiful here. but other than the normal daily stuff to make it boring, when you dont have to do normal daily stuff, take a nice walk on the beach or take a hike on one of the trails, and you'd be in heaven. also, i haven't visited all of the islands, which is ironic since i live in hawaii and i still havent visited all the cities here LOL

Hello! All of you are incredible! We are so happy you enjoyed our Florida, I am Floridian and my husband is from Peru. We actually live on the west coast of Florida (Sarasota) and Miami/South Beach is our runaway place. P.S. Since Atlanta is a foodie, hopefully she can check out some Peruvian dishes. The #1 restaurant in the world is in Lima Peru. Best wishes Rick and David

Welcome to the United States. You are great parents in my view as you are exposing your children to other cultures. Learning is a beautiful thing, and it is obvious in the kid's reactions..and yours. We all tend to take our own ways of life for granted, I know I do but the world is big and we find interest in what is different from our own. Thank you for enjoying my beautiful country of the United States of America. I look forward to more from your travels.

Looked like so much fun. This all reminds me of something said by Samuel Langhorne Clemens, known by the pen name Mark Twain, “Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime.”Feb 15, 2019. He wrote many stories, among them "Huckleberry Finn". Very apt. We have been to Florida from Michigan several times through the years and even saw a Shuttle launch. So neat to get out of your car after driving all day to feel the warm caress and hear all the life around.

We did an airboat tour in Louisiana through the bayous and our guide would throw out marshmallows. About 5 or 6 would swim right up to the boat. You could reach down and touch them they were so close. Pretty incredible but I was afraid they were going to climb in with us. 😄 I've been to Miami once and it was fun except the cab driver left one of my suitcases sitting on the curb with my favorite pair of shoes in it. I like San Diego much better though. Glad you guys had a good time!
