First of all all, thanks for all the video you make: your style and skills are amazing. I just recently found your channel and I am glad ai did. I am starting to make things out of leather too, inspired by your videos. I have a question for you or any other leatherworker who can answer it. I bought some full grain 3oz leather on Amazon and made a wallet with it. It’s simple, I was just practicing. I bought other leather to make other things. Anyhow, my question, the leather goods I see in your videos always seem ‘shiny’ or otherwise ‘glossy’ compared to the leather I get from Amazon. Mine seems ‘dull’ and it scratch easily. Is there a specific treated leather I am supposed to buy? I used leather balm on it and the scratches go away but it is still still and not reflective like the ones I see you make. Anyhow, anyone with an answer or suggestion I would greatly appreciate it. Keep up the good work, man! I love your videos!!

My question isn't really related to this video but I was curious if you would share how you protect the char that is left behind after engraving with the GF on your leather projects? I have tried a leather protection cream but the char on the engraving smudges and smears still. Any advice on sealing the char after engraving?

What kind of leather are you using? Try a adjusting your setting to not cut so deep when engraving.
