The whole 'we're doing this to combat targeted harassment to smaller creators' bit is total bs. Literally every change they've been making, or rather what susan has been making, has only further damaged the community and platform. KZfaq was never perfect, but it wasn't this bad of a crapfest either.

Of course KZfaq recommends this the minute they get caught with their pants down during another controversy. Also, I hope that this video getting pushed into other people's recommendations will only solidify that Mark isn't to blame for the current stuff happening with age restriction. I've seen some people attempt to blame him for no other reason than he's got a bigger channel and it's really sad to me. Mark sticks his neck out on the stuff that counts and I hope that this video is a reminder to everyone about that.

Yeah the situation isn't about Markiplier specifically at all. It's about YT using him and other popular channels as like some sort of "reference sheet to a good channel" to judge everyone else to the harshest degrees. Just watched the Click's video on the topic, his experiences he shared was horrifying. It really opens your eyes to how ridiculously lazy and incompetent YT has been for ages.

@@sundalosketch4769 Exactly. And I think some people took that whole thing and ran with it as a means to crap on Mark which I think is horrible. From being around when KZfaq was in its infancy, I know KZfaq didn't really bank on being the source of many people's income, but their refusal to grow has been ultimately what has been hurting them for years. They claim they're doing all of this work to protect creators but we've seen so much evidence that it just isn't happening. I'm glad that we have creators sticking their necks out and possibly jeopardizing their relationship with KZfaq for the sake of making the platform better. Maybe NOW they'll listen. I'm pessimistically hopeful for now.

@@missluna___ It's usually people who already dislike CCs who'll then use "controversies" to shit on them like "See i was right to hate them all along!" I'm really hoping too in a very 'meh' way. Idk how we'd be able to convince them to make a complete overhaul of how they're currently running things but i am hopeful that the bigger CCs and their YT helpers will figure something out. If their current forms of protesting doesn't work.

2 years later I’m getting this recommended to me right after we got Cory and Jack talked how KZfaq is so bad and KZfaq is such a joke and a shit company, content creators should get more respect their would be no KZfaq without the content creators like Mark, Cory, Jack and so on as well as newer content creators whether you hate them or love them these people deserve more respect not just the bigger content creators but the smaller ones too everyone should be treated equally on this platform, KZfaqrs shouldn’t have to go out and have them and their fans talk and complain on twitter or have to send a email to KZfaq for answers This really shows how’s nothing really has changed and KZfaq doesn’t even care this is such a bad look for KZfaq

Lapis Eye this is his real job! I don’t know how else to get that through to you! KZfaq is the boss and these are the employees. He does this because he loves it! If someone worked a job from 8-10, 7 days a week that they got good money for and they were so very happy with it, you’d keep the job! Mark has a hard job, but he does it for us and because he loves it. So of course he’s not going to change it.

I’m a university student. If my account gets banned I could lose ALL of my essays and assignments, and even a lot of my lecture notes. And even the things I enjoy for fun would be gone. I would lose my access to my online guitar lessons and likely have to start over again. And on top of that, I would lose piano lessons too, and I PAY for those. This shit ain’t right.

It all started years ago. Started with a system they implemented to avoid getting taken down through copyright infringement by asshole celebrities who thought none should be allowed to use their songs or listen to them in their own videos that are monetized. Of course they weren't as rich then so when someone with millions of dollars doesn't like your website well you gotta listen or go down. So youtube did as those assholes wanted.

in my case this statement is untrue. I have bin subbed since 10k, and watched the channel grow. marks the entertainer I asked for, and spent countless hours watching. I respect his devotion to his fan base for he may be a entertainer, and a actor to a degree. however one can not really forge raw anger. nongullible people can see straight through fake emotions for the most part. but what is clearly seen here is non acting emotion. at a old job it was my duty to profile people. the small movements he makes subconsciously shows anger, where as his face expresses concern, and anger. its obvious so many have asked for marks entertainment, so I say he is the one we asked for, and needed. as he is putting his foot down when he didn't have to. he could've played it safe, and said/done nothing. did he? no, he took a risk, and is actively working on getting things right.

@GameBoy Cooler basically he told them to vote on something my using emojis in chat. People started getting banned supposedly for spamming. Even though that is a pretty normal thing for streams. It seems to be almost exclusively related to spamming emojis and nothing else.

Years later and KZfaq’s automated system is still screwing things up. It’s not working the way it should, and channels following the guidelines get punished. Feel sorry for Corykenshin, he’s the most child friendly channel there is and he gets dealt a bad hand. It’s doubtful KZfaq understands the severity of what they’ve become, and issues like this will continue to arise until enough creators big and small band together to speak against KZfaq.
