For years KZfaqrs and content creators have been gifted with ground breaking and convenient technology to run their social media careers, but what about those stuck in 1998? Using my time machine, I've gone back in time to find out just what it would be like to run an internet career using Windows 98. Let the creativity fly!

Mastering the use of a Windows 98 computer to the point of having no problems was the best thing to do back in the day...that, and keeping everybody AWAY from the phone or we would be disconnected from the mighty and slow internet of the time.

I'm 13 turning to 14 during May 2018 and I would like dial up internet. I have wifi which can sometimes act like dial up internet but with modern looks and no sounds. I don't normally expect Wifi to be slow but I will be okay with waiting from dial up.

I altered and extended your story written in notepad. This is what I got: Today is a day in 2018 but not for me because I time traveled in the past! For me it's the 90's! Why? Because i'm in 1998 and so far it's great! I can play solitaire, minesweeper and other few games that I have! I'm only having a few games but that's ok! It's lonely here but I have no fear for my cardboard friend and that's why he is compiled just to drink beer! (love that guy!) Well if I would be able buy some games I would be able to play with everyone from the whole world but sadly i'm poor. Luckily I got 200 games from Xmas, Halloween and Easter but most of them are for Mac OS 8 and a fourth of them are local multiplayer so I can only play with my cardboard friend. (10 weeks later) I found a job and I'm finally rich! I bought 70 games for MS-DOS and Windows 98 so I can play on my PC with anyone and not just my cardboard friend! (Later) Well I'm back in 2018 and luckily most of my games are compatible with my Windows 10 pc and all other games can be played on my Windows 98 workstation! (1 year later) I can play all of my games now straight from my pc on my Windows 98 workstation, my Mac OS SheepShaver and of course Windows 10!

I grew up using Windows XP. I liked the star field screen saver and the bliss wallpaper, it was great. oh and the spider solitaire sounds always are in my mind. BTW my cellphone notification sound is the Windows XP intro.

Instant sub when mentioning Tails. 98 was definitely an older time. I used to screw around on it too thinking that it was the best thing in the world, and now I know a lot more about computers, so.... Still can't replace that version of paint.

I have started to work on this OS for quite long time while starting my career started on Windows 3x which came along with mouse. We have got a computer worth of $2000 for Intel Celeron 432Mhz with 64MB RAM and 4GB hard disk (C: drive for 2GB and D: drive for 2GB) we used this computer for business purpose. Most of the time the computer suffered from virus where we need to wipe the OS drive quite often.
