Night and day difference between KZfaq Music and others is that with YTM you need to interact with the app even less than other apps. With others you have to every now and then to open the app to skip a song or do something since the app gets you wrong. With KZfaq Music you don’t need to do that. You press play, get on with your life and the app presents you what you actually want to listen without needing to think about it.

One thing to note about KZfaq music is that the Chromecast experience is the best. When you're casting to a group of speakers and want to move the music around dynamically to different speakers in the Home App the YT Music app stays connected. So if you have a bunch of Chromecast audio devices in your home like I do it makes it very easy to cast and not get frustrated with things getting disconnected. So I can cast on my indoor speakers and then when I go outside I can add my deck speakers and not get disconnected and the music is seamlessly added to the new speaker. Another thing that works really well on KZfaq Music casting is you can have multiple people join the casting session and both can add songs to the playlist which is neat when you have people over.

Thank you for the fresh take on YT Music. Seems like all the videos out there are two to three years old when the UI wasn’t so great. I personally have no major issues with YT Music, especially combined with YT Premium. The only thing I wish they offered is a “Download All” button within the songs tab. YT Music allows you to download all songs within a playlist or if you want to download all songs in an album but I find myself not selecting every song from albums to save within my library. Spotify and Apple Music have this feature and it’s something that I miss. I’m having to download all my songs individually and it’s a pain in the ass. Not sure how it happened but because I was downloading so many songs the app started behaving incredibly slow and ultimately started draining my iPhone battery significantly. I had to delete and reinstall the app to correct this so all the time I put into downloading my songs pretty much was a waste of time. SMH.

I don't have KZfaq Premium or Spotify Premium, but I end up using KZfaq Music a lot because they actually allow you to choose songs on mobile (as opposed to Spotify). Also, on both mobile and desktop, Spotify seems to have significantly more ads, but I generally prefer it's interface on desktop.

@trinityloneeagle
@trinityloneeagle 11 ай бұрын
@Ewokpilot65 Basically if you search for a specific song to play on spotify, it'll start a playlist type of thing that adds other songs and you have to basically hope that the song you want to listen to is the one that starts playing first. While with youtube, you just simply search for the song, play it, let the ad play and you are able to listen. That's also if you don't pay for premium, if you ever decide to use spotify I highly recommend paying for a membership because the free version is almost unusable because of the amount of ads there are.

@claytonjeffs7649
@claytonjeffs7649 9 ай бұрын
Because I have KZfaq Premium, KZfaq Music was a bit of a no-brainer for me. It also has more obscure content that you can't find on other services because it is linked to KZfaq. I have found quite a few live tracks that I could never find on Spotify. At first I hated the interface and I kind of wish they had an app (not the Chrome app which is basically the website in different packaging). KZfaq Music is a bit more challenging to manipulate playlists but it's not deal breaker for me. The one feature I don't see others talking about much though, (but for me is great) is the ability to upload your own obscure tracks into your library. Spotify allows you to link to local files on your device and add them to playlists but KZfaq Music allows you to upload to a server so that no matter what device you use those tracks are there. If other platforms can do this, let me know, but as far as I can tell this seems to be something I can only find on KZfaq Music. Now they just need a proper dedicated app wth better song selection tools for compiling your own playlists (ie a more graceful way of being able to select multiple tracks at a time and move them around and re-order them).

For a while my brain only focused on Spotify, the others did not exist, over time KZfaq Premium began to make more and more sense to me. What made me go 100% with KZfaq Music was precisely the wide variety of music, in addition to the fact that the same songs that Spotify or Apple Music have, I can also find on KZfaq. Not to mention that I can listen to presentations or that particular song that they played live, other people's covers (and in their languages), reimaginings with other styles, remixes, and even some soundtracks, whether from a movie or video game that are not available on other platforms, somehow it feels like an exclusivity XD Besides, like many here, KZfaq is one of those things that I consume almost daily, so KZfaq Premium is my best choice.

How has no one commented on one fundamental issue with YT Music: they add all the non music but musical in nature clips or just random clips that’s difficult to identify. I like to put my overall list on shuffle, and despite spending hours adding and refining, it scours all my video likes and adds clips or vids that aren’t songs at all. I don’t like having random clips pop up in my car alone or with ppl. They need to isolate better what qualifies as music and not pull from their entire damn library. I’m sure it’s less so if you have a playlist, but I frequently get asmr vids, random clips from movie dialogue, gameplay vids that had music backgrounds, etc.

KZfaq Music tip: 1. Create a "playlist" for each category 2. Add your preference songs in a grouped category 3. Then only shuffle on the category you want to listen to You have to assign each video or song to a playlist on order to keep songs separate from other videos

ALSO you can make playlistmixed with youtube videos and music, so you have access to all the remixes and unlicensed music, its like having a soundcloud and spotify/apple music in one platform. And the suggestion algorithm is fire.... interface could use some work though!!

I'm part of that younger generation, so I'm supposed to list these music streaming services but honestly I don't. I'm old school, I honestly like and don't mind spending money and building up my music library. yes I know its the expensive way but, pay once and you have them for ever.

I've been going with YT Premium all the way back to the beginning. Have Music grandfathered in. Still have Apple music and Spotify. Of the Three Spotify has been the least used. Not that it's bad, not at all. I just use the other two more depending on if I'm on my Pixel or Xr more. I will say that Google has done some good work with YT music and gives me more of a reason to use it.

The best combination for me is KZfaq Premium for discovery and videos, and then using Apple’s Music app unsubscribed for a local library that manually syncs to iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and a restored iPod. Getting back into iPods brought back a really nice part of life where you can just enjoy the music undisturbed and with physical button control - but you’ll probably want to update their batteries and storage so they last another 10 years.

I actually hate YT Music. The fact that it STILL doesn't let people hide user-uploaded content is perhaps the biggest annoyance. When it "transferred" my music from Google Play Music, I'd say like 90% of my library was user-uploaded garbage where the sound quality was horrid. Trying to search for official artist tracks is a nightmare because if I wanna add Bad Boys by Wham to my library I'm recommended the song as uploaded by goyslop69 instead and it sounds like shit. Deezer or Spotify is far better and doesn't have this issue. If I REALLY wanna listen to something only available on KZfaq, I already have a good KZfaq-to-MP3 converter and I can retag the music as I want. I'll stick to Deezer, thanks.

I feel you. I'm not fan of youtube integration... they put both of youtube and youtube music playlist on both of youtube and youtube music... It's annoying. I had to put "KZfaq" and "YT Music" on my playlist title for that reason. I much prefer other music streaming services too.

As a KZfaq Premium subscriber, I wish KZfaq Music was better. While it is cool you can get remixes and songs that aren't available anywhere else, it sometimes mixes up fan-made music with official releases. I want the official release where possible, not some fan-uploaded content where the quality and labelling can be hit or miss. KZfaq Music also lacks other basic functionality like Normalization, crossfade etc. And then library management also seems lacking. It might be fine if you only have a thousand or so songs, but I have well in excess of 10,000 songs, which to me is where Apple Music especially shines and maybe Spotify. KZfaq Music has the potential to be something really good, but Google doesn't seem to be putting much effort into it, and they might get bored of it and close the service. I just feel that Spotify and Apple Music are clear leaders in streaming. Tidal and Amazon Music have the quality, but their apps suck.

The easy way to not have any ad or sponsor is KZfaq++ (at least on iOS). It gives you all the KZfaq premium feature (even download and PiP) it blocks ads and automatically skips sponsors. It feels like cheating and probably breaks the YT economy but it’s so good.

I have been using youtube premium + music for years. In the recent months I've been dabbling with spotify and found I like it better because you can sort your songs within a playlist by title, artist, album or recently added. You can also exclude playlist from your music taste. For YTM, I don't like it's shuffle function algorithm. When I click shuffle on a list of like 300 songs, I expect it to shuffle through the list randomly every time, but what I find happening often is that the algorithm typically starts the list of shuffled songs with songs it thinks I like most, and that's annoying. The whole point of shuffling for me is to hear something random and different, not so much for my favorites. However YTM is better than Spotify in song availability. Some songs can not be found in Spotify, but youtube truly has EVERYTHING I could think of, because they either have the licensing or someone has uploaded it to KZfaq. Even if you run into a song that isn't found at all, you can upload the song yourself and it's playable from any device as long as you're logged into your account. With Spotify you can upload local songs, but those will only be available for playback on the device you uploaded from and the file has to exist & remain locally. I still want to switch to Spotify, because I'd rather lose a few songs here and there, than to not have a way to sort songs in my playlists easily.

Honestly KZfaq premium bundled with KZfaq music is so good. I do not care much for any streaming services but KZfaq premium is gold and KZfaq music bundled makes it even better. I can simply like a music and it is added and my best feature, almost any music from KZfaq is possible to add and it is good! I think as a stand-alone it might not be great for everyone but coupled with KZfaq premium is awesome
