Cory is exactly what youtube needs. For being in a good position on youtuber having a very big fanbase, its really nice having someone thats very mainstream to talk about problems and really get things out there, literally. Every time I refresh my youtube recommended page its another video about the whole situation whether its a reactor or someone talking about it

there really is a bias going on, especially on twitch. a popular female streamer could commit a horrific crime on stream and twitch would suspend her for a week, a guy says or does something slightly wrong he gets banned for life.

from what i've seen a couple of other creators are talking about this issue. not only sticking up for creators of color but also much smaller creators that dont have a youtube rep to go to. i hope things get fixed when it doesn't only come to youtube but also twitch. everyone deserves to be treated equal and a lot needs to change.

As Cory said, they play favorites. They also try to act diverse when they get called out. Only WHEN they're called out is when they take action. That is not how you run a social media platform. You should automatically take actions, not having to be called out. KZfaq is a good site, google is a good company, but they are going to lose their entire platform of creators if they dont take action. Do better youtube, do better.

It seems so, but how and why? Of course I can see how large content creators who bring in more cash get favourited, and are treated differently than the rest, like Stephen Crowder, PragerU, that little racist misogynist muppet with the Ernie eyebrows who talks really fast, even if they should be banned for their content. But I don't see how or why KZfaq would be racist. I see _that_ they are. I don't get why. What's the motive? It seems very counter productive. They don't seem to target LGBT+ or women, only black people and not even all of them, just specific ones. And they use systems for flagging and shit, so... I have seen a case where someone in KZfaq, I forgot the name and the channel that was targeted, circumvented the automatic systems to manually fuck someone over. Maybe that's the case here? Because I don't see how a racist algorithm would then exclude so many black content creators. Or maybe it's a combination of content and skin colour, I don't know if there's a corellation there - there totally could be. Because if there isn't, I think it's personal. It's definitely not the content on its own, that has been thoroughly established in this video. Anyway, my point is, we can all say these things and speculate - which is what I love to do :) even if it's just to explore options - but someone needs to look into it and investigate, how do we make that happen? Who investigates and polices KZfaq?

Ive heard these same complaints for 10+ years from all sorts of youtubers. Big youtubers and the mainstream get special treatment. KZfaq has always pulled this stuff on smaller youtubers or types of youtubers they dont like like react videos because its all an algorithm and the people are lazy.

The same thing happened to me last year, me being a smaller channel! I posted a horror game video, and I thought I was finally getting recognized. My video shot up to 5K views in like 5 minutes, and it was still going. I was gaining subscribers like crazy; next thing you know, in the next 5 minutes, KZfaq took down my video. This shocked me because there was nothing wrong with my video. Usually, they say the video was copyrighted, and monetization goes to whoever it belongs to, but the video is still good to go. This was the first time my video got blocked from the beginning of the video to the end. Like how!? How is the whole video copyrighted? After days of fighting it, they said I could reupload it, and when I did that, my video got like 20 views max. Something is going on.

KZfaq actually removed Phillion's original video saying that it promoted gambling. After tweeting about it and getting support from the community KZfaq reinstated the video.

Every black youtuber should be encouraged to make their own version of Cory’s video. And not just the ones like you, Kai, and rage. I’m talking about the small KZfaqrs that don’t have other platforms and use KZfaq to put food on the table. The ones that can’t afford to have a big video striked. The ones that spend 10 hours editing quality content because they don’t even have the money to hire editors. And twitch is damn near worse. A robot can wrongfully ban you after blindly taking the word of somebody that reports a stream, and it’d take them a few weeks or even a YEAR AND A HALF to review it. Why do two of the biggest entertainment platforms not have enough employees to review stuff this important?!

the thing tho. tbh is these are reactions to videos. this isn't a problem from what insee with actual original content like mkhb. who is probably one of thr biggest creators on a respected scale. these problems really do fo us on reaction videos .. Mkbhd either doesn’t talk about the videos that get striked, or simply doesn’t get them because he doesn’t play games/watch videos/curse, or do anything else that gives KZfaq a reason to strike him
