That is the DUMBEST freakin' airport design ever! Flew TWA 88-92 and hated going through STL to go everywhere. D and C were across from each other and the lone crossover shuttle was near the fork. Now they've outdone themselves and added E at the end of D...and closed D...WHY??!

You said it all. Those of us who grew up in the area prior to 1988 knew an airline called OZARK who built that as the Airplex. There was bus transportation across the C/D alley which you apparently missed. TWA merged with them in 86. There were no gates for Southwest so they added the “E”ast Terninal. AA gobbled TWA and abandoned STL and the D Concourse was left vacant. Study some history, pal.

This is why nothing cool can be done anywhere. I understand security matters, particularly after 9/11, but is "the man" going to board up some plane or plant some bomb in the abandoned areas? Come on
