Today I can't help but feel thankful for this video, since it was this video that got me into SHINee and through SHINee I got a liking for k-pop. Today (or yesterday rather) a beautiful soul passed away. A soul that touched many people including mine. May you find rest Kim Jonghyun. And thank you for everything.

A huge factor in why K pop fans can be so intense is because K pop artists share more of themselves with their fans than American artists do. For instance you'll have extremely popular groups/artists constantly doing reality shows, game shows, live chats, etc. not to mention in the training stages, some like to be documented so you can really get to know them before they even start in the industry properly.

That's right. In Asia, there's an established culture of mixing languages, just like the phenomenon of "Spanglish" (it's not just in the music). That's how my family grew up; mixing languages.

@@Bangtan4Life13 Yeah, I started listening to kpop in 2008 and definitely was treated like a weeb because of it. I used to share kpop vids on FB all the time (when we used to use it) and finally had a friend ask why I'm so into it... she used to be really into dancing, and it doesn't make sense to me why a dancer wouldn't like kpop, they 100% go hand in hand.

One day I discovered the FineBros. I really liked their videos. Then another day I saw that they released a new video called "KZfaqrs React To K-pop" and I was curious. When IGAB by SNSD came and I really liked the song, so I decided to get really into SNSD a few weeks later. Then came f(x). Then came EXO. Then came BTS. I love you, Fine Brothers ;)
