Thanks for all your videos. I had to replace the wheel hub bearing and the cv axle last year. I recommend replacing them both while you're at it. The cv axle is about $50 at Rockauto and it comes complete with a new hub nut so it solves that problem as well.

Thanks so much for this video. About 10 years ago I had to change the front wheel bearing hub for my 1999 Ford Taurus. I used a manual I bought from AutoZone. It took me the whole day just to do one side. The whole job was a nightmare. So when I found out that I had to replace the bearing hubs for my 2007 caravan, I looked upon the job with dread. I watched your video, it was very well done, a step by step procedure on how to do it. I cannot believe how easy it was. I did the whole job in a little over an hour. I still have to do the other side, I hope it will go as easy. Thanks for posting this. The next time I need to do work on my car, and I need info on how to do something, I will look you guys up

Holy crap! What an amazing video! I love all your videos. Great detailed audio explanations and the close-ups are very helpful. I did this job on my front passenger side last spring 2023 before your video came out. I wish I had seen this before my attempt. Took me forever to just remove the stupid ABS sensor wire harness from where it connects up to the van. Your close-up cinematography would have been helpful. Also, getting the hub out of the knuckle is a bitch. I ended up getting two high-grade bolts and nuts and rigging them up in such a way that they pulled the hub assembly out. Banging the assembly does not work. Keep up the great work on the videos! I will always reference your channel as long as I own my 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan SE. Peace brother.

I cut off a stud from the hub and then use a 1/2" bolt and nut through the hole to press it off.

Also if anyone can help me My caravan when ever I come to a red light or stop sign the car like jerks and rumble rattles and when I stop it does that and then stalls out or turns off . I don't know can someone please help

I noticed you got the bearing from Auto Shake. Honestly, I wouldn't ever do business with them ever again. I bought 4 new brake rotors from them, both of the front failed within 5 miles. The brake plane, that the pads grab into sheared off the hub section, on both sides, leaving me with no brakes.

Yes, we used Auto Shack for this. Actually we've used their parts a lot, shocks, bearings all kinds of things and never had any issue with them at all. They're great value parts. For some reason the axle nut you listed doesn't work for a 2014 dodge grand Caravan sxt 3.6l looks like I'll have to use thread locker

That is strange. We just double-checked it for you on the Mopar website and the 6509298AA nut is listed to fit all Grand Caravan MK5's including the 2014 SXT that you have. In fact, for the 2014 manufacturing year it is listed as the correct part for all of the following: 2014: Dodge Grand Caravan: American Value Package, R/T, SE, SE 30th Anniversary Edition, SXT, SXT 30th Anniversary Edition - 3.6L V6 - Flex, 3.6L V6 - Gas And the Amazon links we have added is for 6509298AA . Is the part you bought for the job definitely the 6509298AA, and if so in what way is it not fitting? Could the axle on your vehicle have been replaced already in the past? Most aftermarket axles tend to use the same thread size, but it is possible that you might have one (i.e. an aftermarket axle) that uses a different thread size (which would have come with it's own nut). @YouWrench strange I clicked the link for canada and it immediately says it's not for my van oh well I can put some orange lock tight on it the torgue spec is only 118 ft pnds

Ah ok, there is a mistake in the Amazon listing. The listing is for the 6509298AA nut - which IS the correct nut for the Grand Caravn 2008-2020.
