I'm thinking this year will be a year for fun, powerful, non competition yoyos. Edc yoyos this year, customizable, mix and match, lots of colorways and high quality. An exploration of older ideas, and rereleases of older shapes with modern upgrades

Trend of 2021 - modern responsive. Due to an injury I'm finding normal weight yoyos a bit painful to throw so I've been playing around with my old Duncan Proyo for the past month and it's rekindled my interest in responsive play. Was thinking of picking up a Deep State or Alleycat 650b (watched your reviews) but they're a bit hard to come by in the UK, so whilst browsing on Amazon I spotted the new MagicYoyo T7 - it's a 56g slim responsive for under 20$. I've been playing with the T7 for the past few days and really enjoying it. I haven't thrown any other modern responsives so I don't know how it compares - would love it if you did a review!

Nice! I love modern responsive. The numbers will be limited but you should be in the look out for the soon to be released “Day Tripper” by DocPop and ZipLine Strings. It may be my favorite ever in that design category.

Great review. Another organic. Definitely a trend. I would like to see a group review. Not necessarily to pick the best, but to highlight differences (e.g. weight, size, slight shape differences, etc.).

@@natemartsolf I'm happy you like the idea. D size bearings are another current trend. I've been a fan of D size bearings for a long time and have some classic SPYYs and a Broken YoYo Plug In. Many of the current D size bearing offerings are great, including Freshly Dirty, Circle City P-40, Bowl Mini and Sturm Panzer.

@@natemartsolf I didn’t. Was very tempted but my campaign was 60 grams and I felt it was too light . Very fun yoyo , but I really have a preference for heavy clunky yo-yos . Even the new batsquatch at 60grams is a bit too light for me
