The big eyes make Salvador scarier

Mutated Saddler looks amazing in the remake. However, much more obvious in the original that the whole spider body is sprouting out of his neck.

They honestly knocked it out of the park with most redesigns. The fact that they managed to make the Regenerator and Dr. Salvador even scarier is a testament to how good of a remake this is. To improve on concepts that were already perfect is remarkable. The Verdugo design is my favorite. It looks sick as fuck.

I like how the faces on some of the mutated enemies look more human.

Love the remake version of u3

The remake looks better than the original. The art direction and overall aesthetic is even more realized than before. The enemies have much more variety, and have much more intelligent and aggressive AI. The body horror is also amplified significantly in the remake, with even more grotesque variations of las plagas. Amazing game!

Regenerator got CHONKED😂😂😂

Honestly I don't like the new ganados faces. Let me explain. The fact that in the original the ganados faces were so normal made them look uncanny, like if they were still human but not at the same time. In the Remake this canges until the point that the faces of some ganados look like they are trying not to shit themselves or try to be scary. I know Capcom wanted to make them look creepy but it could've stayed the same way but in a new style.

Looking back, the OG Garradors look like spooder-men which is probably why I found them funny to look at. Now they’re menaces and a pain in my ass 😂

You can even see the old model of DR. Salvador and the Bella Sisters eyes blinking. The original was indeed ahead of its time. I mean, RE4 inspired the over the shoulder game mode anyways. Also, fun fact: Colmillos(the dogs) were inspired by the dog of the movie The Thing. The whole tentacles coming out its back is the reference from the spider legs coming out from the dogs back in the movie.

holy shit the regenerator looks waaaaaaaaaay scarier ,the regenerator in the og looks scary, yes, in that time and today , still looks creepy AF, but the nailed it, super hard in the new regenerator, that face with those teeth and that body and the way he moves.. is amazing in detail, best rework of a normal enemy in my opinion. then the verduro is a close one too, the og verdugo looks like an insect Xenomorph , and the new Verdugo looks like a scorpion that mutated from a Xenomorph i know is a weird comparison, but i can't find another way to describe it

Krauser has a mutated form that looks just like his original in the remake, where it’s only his left arm. It would have been cool to see that comparison too.

Oh no U-3's been cut. Played the original as a kid and that's the boss I remember the most. My 15 year old self was begging for the level to be over because he was downright scary.

While the remake does look amazing, I feel they probably overdid some of the redesigns. For example, the plagas of the Ganados, especially the "claw whip" and "worm claw" ones. How does all that mass fit inside a human body and can then be supported by it once it breaks out? Wouldn't they fall over if a huge towering mass of shaking boney muscle would erupt from their necks? Same thing with Krauser. Those arm blades/clubs must weigh around 200 pounds each. Even though his metabolism is amplified by the Plagas mutations, his movements should be quite slow and bulky instead of dashing and jumping around. The original designs look as if all these aspects would still be somewhat possible in this setting. On the other hand, it's a video game, realism is more or less out the door 😄Aesthetically speaking, the remake is on another planet 👌 Considering that small ounce of realism I always look for in a horror setting, the original does a better job, imo.

What makes the original so good (I'm not making a comparison), is because it's old, it's "ugly", it's disgusting, look at the chainsaw sisters, for example, the face, the eyes, with this old model it makes everything much more special for the time (again, I'm not comparing, I love the original and remake so much)

I don't know why but I don't like the redesign of the regenerador, his face is fine but his chubbiness makes him look ridiculous now and also the way he moves around. Now he reminds me of an ooze from Revelation.

Tbf the villagers in the remake all look the same. In the original game they all have very distinct features; in the remake they all look generic in their context. Also, the dogs are so silly looking in the remake. 💀 And to clarify, I love the remake.

Still prefer the original models. Although, I got to admit: *Some* models look pretty good in the Remake. Other models, not so much...

It kinda sucks and was pathetic at the same time that U-3 Monster didn't get its remake appearance. U-3 is literally my favourite boss in the RE4 due to its menacing, disturbing, and intimidating appearance.

I use to love it when zombies had eyes that were demon like. Like full white, the pupils had vanished. That makes them much more scarier. Other than that, The older resident evil models had character. The newer ones (without local clothing flavour, is just bland). also, they are all the same size, same hieight, no one's skinny, no one's short, no one's darker or lighter,

Fear The Verdugo the insect human hunter looks menacing in the remake and combines the human lower jaw with the functionality of insect mandibles, add on the exoskeleton being more prominently shown make it feel less human and more like a say a xenomorph. Now that’s not to say the original is bad to me the original version still has that menacing aura showing its rib cage making the monster feel starved to add on the mandibles made the original feel grotesque like something that shouldn’t be possible ,but is, combined with the humanoid skeletal structure to make you wonder, what did the cult do to them to turn them into this. Both versions of Verdugo are great.

Im glad they almost didnt touched the verdugo. Its the closer one to be a remastered one than ahuge remake. But the others are yet very intresting. But I cant say supeiror just an alternative cose RE4 has a weird effect on me. I was afarud they were goona do exactly like r3 remake or make it more simailr to re5. Wich disapointed me as fuck.
