Filipino peoples have a lot in common with native Americans. I'm proud to have both in my blood. Lapu Lapu is a warrior who never let his people be conquered.
@christopherorourke63629 жыл бұрын
Hatuk Hill I call Lapu Lapu a great FIlipino hero, he knew just what Magellan was up to. I wished My ancestors in Ireland had leader like Lapu Lapu who would have stood up to the BRITISH. I had a grand uncle who was full blooded native Canadian, Ottawa tribe who would have been right at home in the Philippines which is my second country, my late wife was from Cavite City, we were married 31 years when she passed away. Within a few years I plan to return to the Philippines for good & live out my life there as my heart is in the Philippines.
@limoonsoju8 жыл бұрын
But Lapu-Lapu is technically not a Filipino. He was from Borneo. And Lapu-Lapu wasn't really the one who killed Magellan. But yes, Lapu-Lapu was such a great hero.

Carlista, when Yoyoy wrote this Song....Limasawa was still the place of the First Mass in the Philippines written in our history books. Now, the history claims that it was in Masao, Butuan but some historians are still considering Limasawa as the place of the First Mass. Even the Catholic Church is "granting these two places" as the place of the First Mass but not admitting as the absolute. The Church is just saying that what is important is that there was a First Mass in the Philippine Soil.
