Thanks for the DIY! I got myself in Bright Pink + lobster lock too and took off the excess key rings and kept the lobster lock alone at the the end of the strap vs. clinging it on to the zipper. AMAZING TIP

Hi, I was wondering how the bag is holding up? Is it durable? Do you wear it in the rain? Where I live it rains constantly. Also have you figured out the difference between the matalasse and the quilted leather. YSL sells it in both in their website. Thanks!!

Hi there I’m debating whether to get this in white or burgundy - and whether to get on plain or chevron. Which color do you find more use for and do you find that the chevron makes it harder to match with certain outfits ? I see they now have a plain design.

Thanks for the cool tip about the tassle. I've had my eyes on this one for a year but I haven't pulled the trigger yet because I feel it's too big for my frame (slightly less than 5ft.:-) When I tried it on in store I don't like how it looks on me as it's quite overwhelming. But now I still couldn't find any similar bag that I love and you made me reconsider this bag;-)

I loved your review! I have a little doubt! what did you think of CALFSKIN LEATHER? Too many scratchs ?? I'm in doubt if I buy the lambskin version because of its durability. I can’t believe how much prices for YSL bags have gone up to in so little time. 18 months ago the envelope medium quilted textured-leather shoulder bag was about £1750, then it went up to about £2000 and now it’s £2200! 😢 Beautiful bag nonetheless. Thanks for this review. I love this in black with the gold monogram over all black but love the envelope all in black.

Hey love ! I finally got myself a YSL CAMERA LOU BAG in black with gold hardware. I was annoyed like you with the tassle and instead of putting the tassle onto the zipper, I put it on the side of the bag instead with the hardware so it still dangles there and it won’t get in my way 🙂❤️ I got the keyrings at Kmart instead because I was so tempted to try this DIY after watching your video ! Thankyou for ghe inspiration ❤️

Do you think this nude or white color have problem of color transfer? Cuz i m thinkin to get it this or gucci marmont one white... but i heard some say ysl camera bag white/nude doesn’t have that problem but marmont white one does..?

I would be more careful using nude and lighter/white colored bags, to avoid color transfer especially while wearing dark denim! I just posted a video where I treated my LV vachetta and fabric with protectants if you want to check it out! Thanks so much for watching =)

Their site currently has a sale for $275 off a $1000 purchase. You'll have to check if it applies to the current bag you're looking at.

Jiwon Choe Nude is a great neutral color, just have to be careful with color transfer from jeans. I have a lot of black bags in my collection already so I try not to add more. No, I think the legion is maroon, very dark reddish purple.

Have you had any issues with either bags losing their shape, specifically the part that's up against your body? I just bought the YSL bag with black logo (the smooth leather one, not the chevron), and am noticing already that the bag collapses in on itself when I'm wearing it, specifically the side that's up against my body, pushing the zipper up and bending the inner lining thing that borders the bag on either side (not sure what it's called) if it's not completely full. I'm contemplating returning it and getting a bag that's a different shape. Hope that makes sense - please let me know what you think!

Hmm I haven't had that problem but maybe it's because I have mine pretty full when I use it so the bag isn't collapsing in on itself? Or maybe the items inside are unevenly distributed so it's distorting the shape, although it shouldn't be to that extent.. I would check out used bags on resale sites to see if that's a common problem for the style - if not then maybe the bag is defective and they'll let you return or exchange it!

Taylor J I just literally got my bag replaced today due to the deformity. Apparently it’s a thing with that bag. I have the black chevron one and what a fragile bag! Looking online for a shaper/organizer to insert inside to keep its shape.

Itsmarmar Yeah, I've kind of just accepted it at this point. Update on my end: I ended up going into the YSL store to ask about the issue and noticed all of the camera bags in the display case were doing the same thing! So I just said whatever.

Both bags are beautiful. It fits a lot. I like it had adjustable strap. The only thing holds me back is leather too easy to get scratches. I’m not very careful person. Maybe I should check the preloved market. Cindy, have you tried their new mini camera bag? I love the leather, it looks very durable. Awesome video darling ❤️

I haven’t had problems with color transfer but Just to be on the safe side i don’t let it come in contact with dark denim 💙

I have the Lou camera bag in red with silver hardware love it but the tassel drives me nuts sometimes lol. And I also own the Gucci soho disco love that bag as well, I loved it so much I wanted it in red but I don’t like owning the same bags in different colors plus I wanted a YSL piece in my collection. Both of your Lou camera bags are gorgeous especially with the metal finishes! ♥️

Awesome, the red is gorgeous! The tassel really does get in the way sometimes so if I'm packing it for travel or using it as my carry on crossbody just while boarding a plane I usually remove the tassel and keep it inside the bag until I'm at my destination. I would love for YSL to make this in a pebbled / caviar finish like the newer mini camera bag. Thank you so much for watching! =)

That's a great question! My understanding is matelassé refers to the type of stitching that's supposed to resemble a quilt, although it's hard to tell the difference btwn the Lou matelassé camera and quilted camera bags. I've reached out to my YSL sales rep and can follow up when I hear back =)

No , the blanc Vintage is more of an off white , creamy color with super light grey undertones if that makes sense. It’s GORGEOUS. It’s next on my wishlist! There are several reviews on KZfaq of YSL bags in blanc vintage , just google that color and the videos will come up. HTH !

I have the black with silver hardware and I didn’t know the hardware was supposed to be like an antique style and I emailed ysl and I was like I think my bag is dirty 😭😂😂 idk I have a ysl wallet and the hardware is shiny so I expected the same from the bag it was so embarrassing 🙈 and the fact that I watched multiple videos on the bag and nobody mentioned the hardware ONCE
