That could also be a bad thing too. Too many people have it now which makes it even That more generic. It's already viewed as basic/generic to begin with I have heard alot of people say.

Boring but a compliment getter for me! Coworkers enjoy it and so do ladies! I’m 52 and I really enjoy this stuff. Yes, it’s similar to many scents, but it lasts long and does the job for me! 🤙🏻

Sometimes fragnatica users are overly judgemental or hateful for no reason, finding anything to hate a fragrance. And I agree there's nothing wrong with a generic scent, I'm sure this fragrance was targeted for both genders since it was labelled as. I wish we had any fragrance outlets in my town, we only have like a small kiosk of perfumes but only the famous perfumes like Dior Sauvage Edt, eros, cdnim all freshies😭. I badly wanna smell YSL and Chanel since they're my favourite brand. Great video as always! ❤

Oh for sure. I have seen some crazy things on there. I think its a great tool to use but i usually try to stay away from the reviews section. I know how that feels though. I grew up in a small town so had to travel far to test anything! Thanks for watching

Here's my take! I don't think this smells boring at all! I think it smells gross! Just kidding. This specific floral note just isn't my cup of tea...it smells like something my mom or aunt would wear. ;) I do think it smells better in the air than getting a whiff on skin - which I found with the YSL Y line, as a general thing - on my skin, anyway. Everyone is different. But yeah, if someone likes wearing it, then continue wearing it. It might not be a LOVE from everyone, but I don't think it's a pretty safe one to pick. And as you pointed out, it's very versatile.

It’s a good scent to me. It works because it’s a mass appealing compliment getter with good quality. It’s a reason it sells a lot. Nothing wrong if it doesn’t smell good to your nose cause everyone’s nose is different. Yes it is generic and nothing new but YSL is a designer and their goal is to make money. It’s not like the Y line is groundbreaking either, it’s in the same family as sauvage and bleu de chanel. A fragrance snob may not like it but that’s why niche fragrances exist.

I tested it out recently and it's a really pleasant, fresh option for casual situations, nothing crazy unique, but a really nice inoffensive choice for putting on when you don't want to think too much about what you're going to put on. I'll probably get it at some point when it's on a discount

I purchase the limited edition it comes with a bar soap . Bar soap smells great just like the fragrance myslf . Using both makes the fragrance even better . The fragrance is made for office safe work place IMO

I agree with you on this one. I cannot give it a good rating but certainly it is not a complete bad one. My score: 6.5/10) So I don't think it has any place in my collection.

I work for one of the Biggest Fragrance chains. This Fragrance has only been out steady like the last 6 months. We get like 4 bottles a month and they sell instantly. If your wife/GF comes in and smells it guess what you’re getting?? I like it. I am not sure why it is getting the hate from the Fragrance community. That usually translates to commercial success.

I wouldn't say it's getting hate. I think most people are following my statements that it's generic. But, there is nothing wrong with that! I still think it does what was intended to do, and it does it well, which is why i gave it a 7 and not 5

I smelled it and smelled the other ysl frags which I have a few that I own .You would have to put every YSL version except edp on the list also because MYSELF Smells awesome

Tested it multiple times and just doesn’t work on my skin. Yes, boring, but simply didn’t care for the scent profile either. It’s a hard pass for me personally. But happy for those it does work for.

At first i thought it was pleasant but sooo boring but now that I have had it for a while it might be one of my most complimented fragrance EVER in my 400+ collection, even more than Sauvage EDT EDP. It is actually a very sexy, clean, any occasion, great performing fragrance - dare I say a masterpiece?

Hey, if you think it's a masterpiece, i won't fault ya. This is all subjective. I will say it's super mass appealing and a very easy reach. Compliments are more likely on mass appealing fragrances, so i guess it depends what you're after! I'm glad to hear you enjoy it

Thing is even though we say it is generic and a mix of many top selling fragrances the scent itself is actually unmistakably YSL MYSELF so it is kind of unique. They also use high quality ingredients. I would give it 9 or 10/10. Can’t wait for them to make a denser Parfum version

My rating will stay as is tbh. I wear and test out fragrances like crazy before i give them solid ratings. That being said though, i would love to see what they do with this line in the future

I received a tester of it with some other perfume, it was marked as male perfume, i love the smell but to be honest when i have it now on myself since 15 minutes i got strong feelings that it would match better to women than for man at least in my opinion, but nonetheless this smell is really beauty.

I know is subjective but when every reviewer is using the same “ generic “ description makes me suspicious. I smelled it and it’s AMAZING !!

Reviewers usually have an excessive amount of fragrances and can easily smell when something is generic. That doesn't mean it's bad! 7/10 for a generic smell is a good rating!

@ChadSecrets Maybe for some or most people! But for me, I tried a lot of Ysl fragrances, the drydowns are horrible, smells like bugspray or something.. At least on my skin, and thats OK, since there are so many designer brands, and I can't own them all) I'm happy with Chanel Allure, homme edt! But hey, that's just me)

So this is stupid generic but beyond mass appealing. It’s like you take Y le parfum mixing with valentino born in roma with maybe a touch of La nuit. Killer complements for guys 18-25 yrs old maybe to 30. Only reason I didn’t buy it is cause it’s just a bit redundant. If I didn’t have Y le parfum and born in roma I would of picked MYSLF up

I have a decant of this and in fact... Soooo boring. Smells like a complexe mixture of a lot of notes and very chemical... And I think it smells more like a woman fragrance. Good to see there's people that like it though, to each his own taste.

Personally not a fan at all! Very feminine and way too heavy on the citrus nose. Honestly more of a perfume than a cologne. Going from versace euros and pour homme and ysl Yves to this was a let down! My girlfriend hated it 😂

@ChadSecrets Yeah ! I got a tester size about 15 sprays and tbh I'm not a fan I mean to each their own right? My girlfriend hates it lol personally it's just not as masculine for me and a tad too floral for me. Sooo quick question! Thanks for the reply. My 3 in rotation are st laurent Yves versace pour homme and aqua de gio. What would you suggest for me along those scents if I was to try something new? :) thanks for taking the time to respond. Agreed, it's a great workout fragrance and that's always nice to have. I'd never grab it on a dressed to impress occasion personally, though. But I'm sure it would work well for anything, probably don't have to worry about upsetting the COLOGNE GIVES ME A HEADACHE people too much
