I think alot of rappers are pretty much owned by they gangs/sets/crews. There’s usually mad people involved in the baccground from before they started rappin and after. They bacc the artist financially with the gangs bred and protect em and now they have interests in that artist. There’s rlly no choice to just fall bacc and stop being the bred winner, niggas will kill you. But also, the artist/rapper now has alot more money and pull callin shots cuz they’re the cash cow. So, I believe that kinda power and influence does go to their heads and cuz being able to live it and rap it makes em feel good they continue to do what they were doing when they were kids but on a bigger scale cuz they have so much money accessible now. I used to live in zone 3 and it’s dangerous. My friend visited me and when he left, his car windows were busted and his stuff stolen. My fam visited me and got shot at. Also found out the condos I lived in were built on a cemetery and the club down the street used to be a church.
